hired him to rebuild our garage. Gave him money down. He lacked communication and didn't show up when he said he was going to. finally we let him go because he wasn't ever getting the work done. Now we're in a battle we hired a lawyer because he would not refund the money minus the 10% in the contract. He called the lawyer and told him he was entitled to all the money because we fired him. finally after a month we got the money back but only part of it and not the agreed upon amount. Still waiting for the rest of the money. Do not hire this man. There are many other bad reviews on Yelp and Google.

    D Allen & Sons Contracting
We would definitely recommend D Allen & Sons to anyone looking for a good, reliable contractor. They completed our job in a very professional manner. The whole crew was friendly and they worked together well. We are very pleased with the repairs done to our home!

Excellent workmanship. Good materials. It took only a few days for these guys to complete the roofing job and there was no scrap or messes left behind. The owner was very flexible in accommodating various payment options as well and provided good feedback when the job became move complex than originally estimated. Flexible options on roofing material and gutters were also offered and promptly installed. Highly recommended!

    Turkmasters Contracting LLC
Turkmasters was quick, and professional right from the beginning. They were quick to respond this winter when we called for a free estimate after a windstorm ripped many of the shingles off our home. We had a few estimates done by a few local companies, and Turkmasters was not only the best price, but they provided a longer warranty, and a better product. We didn't even need to sleep on the decision, and immediately set up a contract with them. They were very quick in coming out and starting the project. Our home, from start to finish, was completed in just under 3 days. The workmanship looks fantastic, and we are fully confident in the job that was done; also, the clean up afterwards was extremely well done. They came back a day later to walk through the property, and plan to come back once more in the spring to triple check their work. I highly recommend Turkmasters for any roofing or gutter needs you may have for your home, you can't go wrong with them!

    StockMohr Company Inc
We signed the contract on October 14 20014 for a Berkshire elite patio door. Projected install was for 6 wks. However due to weather delays it was not installed until March 19, 2015. They had sent a letter informing their customers of the delay. During the install they determined that the screen for the door was the wrong one and wouldn't fit. I was told it would take two weeks. On April 24th a month later, the screen was installed. After a few days I noticed the track in the frame was crooked and the screen was getting jammed up about half way through the track. I spoke with Jessica who spoke with Dave (the door manager). She called me the next day and said someone would be out to check the door. She said sometimes they can fix the track with a board. On May 27th I called wondering when they were coming out and Nancy spoke to Jessica who said they'd send someone out June 5th. She apologized for the delay. A man came out, checked the door. At this point I explained to him that I had also noticed the door steaming up on the right side. He said it was condensation and I questioned why then was it only on one side and no other door or window in the house did that. He made a call, he came back and told my husband that he had spoke with the owner and they were going to replace the door. He said I already had two problems within a short time and he didn't want me calling with more after it was fixed. He said the company stands behind their products they sell and their work. He said customer satisfaction is very important to the company. The door would take 6 wks to order and they would put a rush on the install because we had already waited so long. August 14th Mark came to install a door "frame". He checked the order and said it specifically said door frame not the glass. He made a call, said they would order the door and put a rush on it. I then called the office after he left, just a gut feeling. Sure enough, Nancy told me that Dave was on vacation and he was the one who made those decisions. He would be back on Monday. I waited until late Monday morning August 17th, no call back. I called and spoke directly with Dave. I explained about all the delays, how every time I spoke with someone it seemed I got a different story and I was beginning to feel like I was getting a bit of a run around. I also told him about the foggy door and how I was assured it would be replaced because the company valued their customers. Dave explained that there must have been a miscommunication about replacing the entire door. He said the initial man (bobby) who had come out had spoke with him and he had told him to replace the whole frame instead of just the track. I conceded that my husband could have confused whole door with whole door frame and it sounded reasonable. He insisted the foggy door was condensation and not a broken seal and said he would have Nancy call me with an install date for the frame and he would come himself with a humidity meter to show me it was condensation. Well Nancy called on August 19th and set up the appointment for the next day. On August 20th Mark arrived to install the new door frame. No Dave.

At this point let me say that through all of the conversations with various people everyone was always very polite, friendly, and professional and I always felt they cared about their customers. The workers took care to cover my floors and cleaned up any mess. They did a wonderful job installing the door. However, I am still disappointed in the foggy door. Even though it may well be condensation, I'm not completely convinced that it's not the door itself . Maybe I should have gone with a Pella. To be honest despite everyone being so nice and professional I still would not hire them again due to all the delays. Yes initially it was due to weather but after the initial letter they left you wondering what was going on and despite being told they would put a rush on things it still moved too slow. I'm sure at times they had forgotten about me as I always had to call them. At the end of the day it took nearly a year to close this deal.

After an extremely windy month, we noticed several shingles were blown upward but still attached. Being that, that section of roof is only about 5-6 yrs old we called the installer for help. He NEVER called us back. We called Dave Berner, left a message as to what our problem was and he called back within the hour for details, & made an appointment to come out. He secured the shingles that were blown up and replaced ones that blew off, never charging us a service call, just a handshake with a suggestion to remember him because it is looking like our garage roof will soon be needing a new one.

    Riverside Door And Window Inc
I called and someone called me back that same day. No pressure, did free estimate. Came to my home (roof was for our rental property) and explained everything to us, and gave us a quote. They were the third company I had talked to. One company was almost double in price, second company came in with slightly lower quote. We chose this company, because of knowing someone who personally recommended them and their upfront honesty. Since I did have two other quotes and had talked to two other companies, I knew what I was dealing with.
They did the job sooner than they said they could, did it faster than they said and cleaned up EVERYTHING! Totally impressed with them. Would absolutely recommend them. The roof has improved the look of the house 100 percent! Great Job!
I did not ask this question, but they do go by two different names and I do not know why. They also go by the name and quot; The Home Improvement Center.and quot; I could not find them on Angie's list until the salesman mentioned to look under River Side Door and Window.

Over the summer I requested an estimate for gutter installation through The person sent out to do this estimate spent about 15 minutes measuring and checking out the property. He wrote up a quick estimate void of any measurements and proceeded to tell me the estimate would be "the today only" price. As any consumer would do I mentioned I would like to get a few more opinions before I made a decision. He again said the price would probably go up if I didn't sign right then and there. He wasn't rude, just very salesman like. I decided to go with this company after all and called to schedule an appointment. I left a message with the number I was given and received a call back a few days later. I was prompted to give a deposit over the phone. I was a bit hesitant but did so anyway and was told I would receive a call in the next few days to schedule a day for the work to be done. A week passed and I received no call, I tried calling back and got a machine left a message and waited, a few days after that I got a call early in the morning from the a crew foreman saying he would be at the property within the hour to do the work. That's all, one hour notice with no appt. I advised the installer I was told I would be able to schedule a specific date and time and that his call took me by surprise. I called the office and was told they dont make appointments and generally just call a day ahead of time. As a homeowner I would prefer to be on site while work is being done but was told this is generally not an option. The method of installation explained to me by the estimator needed to be changed throughout the installation. The installers were only able to utilize one drain pipe and needed to route downspouts straight to my front yard which I didn't want and was told wasn't going to happen. The only prompt communication from the company was attempt to collect final payment, a call which came before I could even get to the property to see the work. I called back and requested an invoice. The about 2 weeks later got another call looking for payment and finally received the invoice today. I would say I wouldn't use TGPWNY again as Im not a fan of businesses where the different branches have no idea what the others can do or are doing

We are building and interviewed several companies before selecting Dalex.
If we have not been satisfied with a contractor in the past, our results using Angie's have been excellent.
Dalex was awarded the project because Dmitri was knowledgeable, courteous and the most thorough in discussing the job.
He only contractor to explain in a very understandable way how his company would install our new roof (nailing, ice shield, drip edges, valleys, etc) to the the specifications that we desired. Dalex was also the only contractor to explain why a shingle application was not recommended for the zero-slope areas, but Landmark Pro shingles after doing homework on several other manufacturers.
Dalex not only arrived at 8:00am on the day they said they would be there, they arrived with a crew large enough to complete the job in a timely stayed on the job until completed and we were totally satisfied, which can be a rare commodity among many contractors.
    Excellent, excellent job!!!!

The only company that had someone climb on the roof for the estimate. The only company that gave me a detailed estimate in writing on the spot. Said they would not be the cheapest but not the most expensive - turns out, they were the cheapest. Work performed on schedule, beautiful job, good cleanup Only complaint was that my kids were home and we heard a few choice words. I highly recommend buying a bar magnet pickup tool to find stray nails in the lawn. I recommended them to my sister and would use them again.
