    Active Physical Therapy
I have been very pleased with this Therapy facility. The staff is well versed: they are busy, but very attentive, seem to know exactly when I was ready to advance to the next step and just how far to push me. Everyone is pleasant and was calling me by name after the first visit. They were kind about phoning to see how I was doing, especially after I cancelled due to an unrelated illness. They have been nothing but encouraging about my efforts. My doctor is pleased with my progress. I would definitely hire them again.

    Mandichak, Dr. Deanna
Bottom line: I'm back skiing with just an off the shelf brace from the drugstore, my right knee having been strengthened much better than it was originally. I can also kneel down now, which I was originally afraid I wouldn't be able to do - and am back doing yard/garden work with ease. When he released me after several weeks of therapy, he made a point of saying that I could come back at any time to ask a question or to communicate concerns. I would feel very comfortable doing that. The front office staff is very easy to work with, and went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. I can say the same of clinic staff. I recommended another friend with a shoulder injury to go to Brad - and he did and was very satisfied as well. I'll go back to Brad Sidener, and will heartily recommend him to others.

    Spine Nevada
Torrey is absolutely fantastic! I have low back pain caused by herniated and compressed disk and neck/arm pain also. Torrey gets to know each patient, will work on what is prescribed and will look at anything else you might have an issue with. He is very hands on - he'll check out out/adjust at each appt as well as make you do exercises, which he will change up every time. He's really friendly and knowledgeable. I feel much stronger than when I started. Unfortunately, the pain continues and a new MRI showed the compression has gotten worse (thought the bulge got better). I opted for fusion surgery. Torrey then helped me and quot;prehab - get in shape for surgeryand quot;. He as been very helpful with getting me strong and helping me understand what to expect and insure me that I'll recover quickly and feel better after. He even gave me his sister's phone number because she had the same surgery years ago. He really cares about his patients and will spend whatever time you need with him and his assistants (I'm rarely out of there in less than an hour). He recommends home exercises, but is also realistic about what people will do on their own. He does not require you go to the Dr's at Spine Nevada (I've seen them, but prefer the Dr. I see in Carson City). He just does the best job he can as a therapist.

    Fearnley, Brian
Brian Fearnley and his office are very communicative.  He pushes me as hard as possible when required.  They were really good about squeezing me in when I needed an appointment.  I was just very happy with the treatment I got there.

As far as I am concerned this is the only place I will go for physical therapy. The owner is amazing and understanding.

Over the course of treatment I learned exercises to strengthen my neck and back muscles. Upon completion I felt very confident that my form was correct. I was given handouts and a booklet to continue exercising at home...and I do!

This is the place to go for physical therapy in the Carson Valley and beyond. Ron will evaluate your problem and will probably treat you during the first visit. Ron will probably give you an exercise regime that you?ll need to follow on your own or in the in-house gym after he?s done with you. He may work with you several times on a more formal basis to evaluate your progress and ensure you?re doing the exercises correctly. There is a good chance you?ll feel better after the first visit. Ron doesn?t enjoy hurting people like some physical therapists do. He?ll match your ability with the treatment and will work you up in increments to where you need to be so that pain won?t be an issue in your work with him. Ron will answer any question he can concerning your problem, your body?s injury or need, and the treatment he?s going to use. During the most recent time I worked with Ron, I was very upset because I?d been told I needed immediate surgery without explanation of why or without being told it was actually an elective surgery. Ron identified my very urgent need for good information on hip replacement surgery from someone who wouldn?t push me to have it before I wanted it since its elective. He made recommendations for resources and helped connect me with a person who?d actually had the surgery for me to talk to. This extra effort was a life saver for me. This is why I say Ron approaches his work from not only healing the specific injury, but looks at a broader view of the person?s whole body and mind. It?s my impression that he believes if it all isn?t functioning well, his work won?t be as beneficial. This is an approach not found in medical doctors and may not be common in physical therapists. You can go to Ron?s gym just like any other gym. It?s reasonably priced and much more personal than many. Ron?s office / gym facility is a bright, sunny space with lots of window views of a meadow bosque. If you?re doing 5 miles on a treadmill, there are much worse settings than in this gym. Julie and Heather in his front office are warm, friendly and will work hard for a person. Ron?s assistant Robyn will greet you and will come around to see if you have questions or need help. Even if you aren?t doing specific exercises with her help, she?ll cheerfully help you set a machine or demonstrate an exercise for you. The people who come to Ron?s gym are a little older for the most part and are there to work. People come in all sorts of clothes and have all levels of fitness. No one cares if you don?t have the latest, most fashionable little gym clothes or aren?t cute or in as good a shape as someone else. You?ll never be made to feel out of place or inferior if you come to this gym for regular workouts.

They're extremely knowledgeable. The 2 owners both had PhDs in physical therapy and are professors at University of Nevada, Reno.

    Custom Physical Therapy - Sparks
I only went twice as it was recommended that I see a specific doctor for more evaluation on my hip. Dr. Andre was very thorough and patient, explaining everything to me. I also very much appreciated that they made my 8 year old son, who was with me, feel very welcome.

    Body Wisdom Physical Therapy
They're awesome and not only would I use them again I would recommend them to anybody anywhere in the world that needs rehab. I've had like five different joint surgeries and you cannot compare them to any other physical therapist in this town of Reno, Nevada. They're so specialized and so individualized. If you go to a physical therapy clinic out of a huge orthopedic clinic you're treated like cattle and Body Wisdom it's like they see you and not the injury. They see you as a human and not as a set of symptoms or an injury. They're fabulous and they also have a little French Bulldog that stays there and he is so cute and if you come in regularly and approach her properly she is excited to see you and it sets the whole tone of the place. She goes and visits the different therapy rooms and she's a very cool little dog. They're much better than I am as far as rehabbing me because I dropped the ball and they did not. They tried to get me back to finish off my sessions, but I kind of blew them off because psychologically I was in a bad spot and I should had stayed with them. They even sent me back a co-payment that I had made that I wouldn't have even noticed and to this day I still have the check on my bathroom counter to remind me that I should reconnect with them and get my orthopedic surgeon to give me a few more sessions. The copay was sent back with a personal note to ask me what is going on and why haven't I made an appointment and it's also personally signed by the director, so there's really no other place like it in this city and I really appreciate what they did.
