Physical Therapy reviews in Reno

    Active Physical Therapy
I have been very pleased with this Therapy facility. The staff is well versed: they are busy, but very attentive, seem to know exactly when I was ready to advance to the next step and just how far to push me. Everyone is pleasant and was calling me by name after the first visit. They were kind about phoning to see how I was doing, especially after I cancelled due to an unrelated illness. They have been nothing but encouraging about my efforts. My doctor is pleased with my progress. I would definitely hire them again.

    Body Wisdom Physical Therapy
The therapist is professional and highly knowledgeable. (Sally LeDuc). The office is large and able to provide a variety of services. The office is clean and well organized. I have been seen on time for every visit.  The billing has been handled accurately and timely.  I appreciate the reminder call the day before.  I have also been given gift certificates for massages and have really enjoyed the spa feel of their massage therapy rooms.  The massage therapists are excellent.  I am highly impressed by the office staff, the scheduler/receptionist - Monica, is awesome, professional, friendly and she always works magic to get me in when I am hurting.
The office mascot Jake...gives a family feel to the office and makes me feel comfortable.

    Custom Physical Therapy - Sparks
I only went twice as it was recommended that I see a specific doctor for more evaluation on my hip. Dr. Andre was very thorough and patient, explaining everything to me. I also very much appreciated that they made my 8 year old son, who was with me, feel very welcome.

    Active Physical Therapy
The office runs a little confused. They use interns and other employees to do most of the interface with the patients, under the direction of one of the two PTs. That said, the treatment worked fine, and it took about the length of time that my family doctor thought it would for me to heal. I would go back for other issues to this same group.

    Spine Nevada
Torrey is absolutely fantastic! I have low back pain caused by herniated and compressed disk and neck/arm pain also. Torrey gets to know each patient, will work on what is prescribed and will look at anything else you might have an issue with. He is very hands on - he'll check out out/adjust at each appt as well as make you do exercises, which he will change up every time. He's really friendly and knowledgeable. I feel much stronger than when I started. Unfortunately, the pain continues and a new MRI showed the compression has gotten worse (thought the bulge got better). I opted for fusion surgery. Torrey then helped me and quot;prehab - get in shape for surgeryand quot;. He as been very helpful with getting me strong and helping me understand what to expect and insure me that I'll recover quickly and feel better after. He even gave me his sister's phone number because she had the same surgery years ago. He really cares about his patients and will spend whatever time you need with him and his assistants (I'm rarely out of there in less than an hour). He recommends home exercises, but is also realistic about what people will do on their own. He does not require you go to the Dr's at Spine Nevada (I've seen them, but prefer the Dr. I see in Carson City). He just does the best job he can as a therapist.

    Body Wisdom Physical Therapy
They're awesome and not only would I use them again I would recommend them to anybody anywhere in the world that needs rehab. I've had like five different joint surgeries and you cannot compare them to any other physical therapist in this town of Reno, Nevada. They're so specialized and so individualized. If you go to a physical therapy clinic out of a huge orthopedic clinic you're treated like cattle and Body Wisdom it's like they see you and not the injury. They see you as a human and not as a set of symptoms or an injury. They're fabulous and they also have a little French Bulldog that stays there and he is so cute and if you come in regularly and approach her properly she is excited to see you and it sets the whole tone of the place. She goes and visits the different therapy rooms and she's a very cool little dog. They're much better than I am as far as rehabbing me because I dropped the ball and they did not. They tried to get me back to finish off my sessions, but I kind of blew them off because psychologically I was in a bad spot and I should had stayed with them. They even sent me back a co-payment that I had made that I wouldn't have even noticed and to this day I still have the check on my bathroom counter to remind me that I should reconnect with them and get my orthopedic surgeon to give me a few more sessions. The copay was sent back with a personal note to ask me what is going on and why haven't I made an appointment and it's also personally signed by the director, so there's really no other place like it in this city and I really appreciate what they did.

    Nevada Physical Therapy
The therapy lasted for 3 months and I went twice a week. Christa Jacobi was very demanding and exacting and over the weeks of bending, pulling an pushing, a regained the specified range of motion in my shoulder. It was definitely not as painful an experience as my first one. All I can say is that it worked well. By October, 2011, I was working out at the gym. I won't be playing golf anymore but that is a personal decision. The place is well equipped. The therapists know what they are doing. I would highly recommend Christa Jacobi and Nevada Physical Therapy but hopefully I won't have to go through this anytime soon.

    Fearnley, Brian
Brian Fearnley and his office are very communicative.  He pushes me as hard as possible when required.  They were really good about squeezing me in when I needed an appointment.  I was just very happy with the treatment I got there.

    Mandichak, Dr. Deanna
Bottom line: I'm back skiing with just an off the shelf brace from the drugstore, my right knee having been strengthened much better than it was originally. I can also kneel down now, which I was originally afraid I wouldn't be able to do - and am back doing yard/garden work with ease. When he released me after several weeks of therapy, he made a point of saying that I could come back at any time to ask a question or to communicate concerns. I would feel very comfortable doing that. The front office staff is very easy to work with, and went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. I can say the same of clinic staff. I recommended another friend with a shoulder injury to go to Brad - and he did and was very satisfied as well. I'll go back to Brad Sidener, and will heartily recommend him to others.

    Sierra Rehab & Wellness Center
This is a very small office with little equipment. Though the therapist, Doug Brynildsen, seems knowledgeable, they make sure you get in for a couple weeks then overbook so badly that you don't get in at all which dramatically hinders any progress you made. Perhaps the ones with insurance companies that pay more get seen more. This center seems to be more interested in making money than continuing good care. You are lucky to get 20 minutes of service though you pay for 1 hour. Who's to say how it would have gone if they had continued the therapy instead of cutting me off. Doing that just made my progress worse and I had to start over again. More interested in getting as many patients in as possible instead of keeping the ones they can handle.
