Pest Control reviews in Reno

    Frontier Pest Control
Extremely effective and professional service. I worked with Trent and the experience was very positive. He was polite, worked with our kiddos, and really went above and beyond. On one day I even missed an appointment due to a family emergency and he was very understanding and rescheduled the visit without any judgement or fees. We have not seen any mice in weeks and we plan on using the quarterly service plan in the future to help with other problems we have with carpenter ants. Would recommend Frontier to anyone.

    Frontier Pest Control
He sealed the area with a sticky goop and also put down some wire to prevent them from continuing to scratch and also sealed off an hole in the wire in an area to prevent pigeons or bird from nesting. The area he sealed off with goop and wire was 10x 5 and 4 deep. The hole he repaired with wire was approx 1' x 4". He had to gain access to tile roof and also work off ladder. Job took 40 minutes. He used 1 can of goop and 3"x 4" of wire. He was very nice and informative but feel that the job really cost about $150.00 for labor and parts used--that would have been a fair price but had to get it done so I paid the price since I could not do it myself. st guy that came out from Terminix lied to me and said my attic was infested with mice. Frontier was truthful about the needed to be done and I did very much appreciate that and so they got the job.

    CAD Pest Control Services Inc
The CAD pest control agent was unable to identify the bug and only offered to do a general spectrum spray. He took a specimen that we had collected to submit to the State Entomologist. We never heard back from him if he ever submitted the specimen and/or the result. We had to hire other pest control services to identify the bug and offer specific recommendations and actions. Basically, all we got was a spray technician and we had hoped for a more informed person with greater technical expertise.

    Frontier Pest Control
We were very pleased with Frontier Pest Control services. Blake Nelson was knowledgeable, offered sound and practical advice, and dealt with our two problems. We had to ping him on a couple of occasions to get updates on the status of the mice but otherwise he was helpful, responsive and highly professional.

    Frontier Pest Control
He crawled around everywhere to find. At nesting areas and worked with us to develop a response plan. We like bats so chose not to put out poison or whatever. He agreed that we would need to paint over areas scratched by the bats.

    Frontier Pest Control
Blake from Frontier Pest Control responded to my inquiry and we booked an appointment. He arrived promptly, checked out the situation, and honestly told my husband that while he could charge $140 for the needed service, we could do it ourselves for around $20. He explained everything that was needed. My husband and I are grateful for Blake's honesty and clarity. Next time we need to call a pest control company, Frontier will get our business.

    Valley Pest Control
It started off well, the worker arrived on time and did the general pest spray and all but one wasp next. When I called back to schedule the removal of the final next, the person who answered the phone basically said they had been paid and weren't coming back out.

    Frontier Pest Control
Frontier was contacted mid morning today, the problem explained, and Blake was here at our home by 12:30PM the same day. He found the problem very quickly and treated as necessary. As it turned out the problem wasn't too bad, just a couple of areas in roof tiles. While Blake was here we also discussed whether to secure his services for general pest control. Not at any time was there an attempt to oversell what so ever. In fact he treated today's problem as a courtesy. As a new customer I didn't know what to expect but I'm here to say what great knowledge, professionalism and customer service. Frontier has my business for sure. This was great experience for sure

    Frontier Pest Control
I'm beyond speechless right now. The company showed up at the appointed time, but parked in front of the house in a red zone. I explained that he couldn't park there because the garbage truck had to get by and he just rudely said, I can't service the house unless I park here." Then got in his truck and drove away. Really? No explanation, no discussion about alternatives - uugghh!! So furious I wasted my time!! Angie - you need to scope these companies out better.

    Bonanza Pest Control
A couple months ago I noticed a I had paper wasps in some of my air ducts and along the eves of the house around my front door. I've had an issue with wasps is the past and have used Bonanza Pest Control twice to take care of the problem. Overall Id say their service was to be expected. The second time around resulted in the extermination of several hundred wasps that died inside my furnace, rendering it unusable, which cost me approximately $200 out of pocket. I never blamed Bonanza for that and consider it an unfortunate accident. They exterminated the wasps as agreed. The most recent service, however, was appalling all around. I called them to request a service on March 15th explaining my past history and that I wanted someone to come take care of the nests along the eves and check my attic as well, just to be sure. I knew that might be more expensive, but I have tenants and needed the problem resolved. They told me they didnt have any availability until April 28th. I was hesitant and considered calling another business given the 6 week wait, but was familiar with this business and decided to bite the bullet. We scheduled an appointment for April 28th between 2:30-3:30 pm. I immediately put the appointment on my schedule and requested the necessary time off work. Fast forward to April 27th. I noticed I had a voicemail (no missed call ever appeared, but thats not their fault) with a date/time stamp of April 26th at 3:03pm from April who left the following message: Hi, this is April with Bonanza Pest Control and I am supposed to come out there Friday (April 28th) to take care of a wasp nest above the front door. I was calling to see if I can come and do that this afternoon? It is about 3:00 on Wednesday. My cell phone is xxx-xxxx. If you can give me a call back that would be great. Talk to you later. Bye. (Screenshot of transcript attached). Given that Ive noticed the message the day after it was left and the fact that the wasp nests were still along the eves by my front door. I figured our original appointment would still take place as I never had the chance to confirm her request. I wouldnt have been able to do that anyway as I wanted to be on site so she could check the eves in my backyard, which was locked as well as discuss how we could go about doing a thorough check in the attic to avoid the problem I had last time. Come the next day, I arrived home around 2:15pm and waited until 5:00pm and no one ever showed. Around May 3rd, I received an invoice (photo attached) for $40 indicating the service had been completed at 3:29 on April 26th, roughly 25 minutes after a April left the message ASKING if she could come by that day. I called Bonanza to discuss the issue as I still had wasp nests by my front door and my attic could not have been checked as no one was home. I believe that April showed up and took care of some nests, but my original request was not taken care of. Janice said she needed to call April to get her side of the story and that she would call me back. I received the following voicemail about 20 minutes later: Hi Richard, this is Janice from Bonanza Pest Control. Were going to take care of that $40 bill for you and the next time you need pest-control, please dont call us. Thank you and have a great day. (Screenshot of transcript attached) How very passive-aggressive of Janice! Fear not Bonanza After no one showed up for our original appointment as agreed upon I had already called Terminex and arranged for an annual service. They came out last week and did a fantastic job! Long story short, you can find considerably better service elsewhere. Dont waste your time with these guys...
