    Energy Masters
First of all, I live by myself and am always concerned of being taken advantage of by contractors when I need work done.  Half the time I don't understand what they are talking about and they just throw big numbers at me and tell me I need to do this and that.  Then I contacted Energy Masters after getting an energy audit by my local power company and being referred to them.  Mary Winston owns the company and she came out to check everything herself.  So warm and professional at the same time, and she explained everything so I would understand perfectly.  A couple of days later received the Proposal, and compared to what I was afraid the work would cost, it was very reasonable.  The owner texted me to let me know she would be scheduling within the next couple of weeks, and a few days later I received another text to confirm a date.  Mary and the guys showed up promptly on that date and were just the most professional and hard working group of people.  Plus they were very informative, and when I had questions or concerns there was never any hesitation to make sure I understood exactly how the process works.  Kudos and many many recommendations to this company.  As a matter of fact, my twin sister is scheduled for work this month.  I don't take recommendations lightly.  Go with Energy Masters, you won't be disappointed.

    Energy Masters
Let me save you time (and money in utilities) . If you need ANY services Energy Masters can help with, look no further.  Absolute professionals every step of the way, with very extensive knowledge of the industry. I've been in commercial property management for 20 years and I've rarely  encountered a company, professionally or personally,  wherein every single person involved with the project cares so much about their quality of work. I would have expected to pay much more for the resulting success. We've now had record cold and record heat in the short 2 months since the project was completed so I can give a fair review from both perspectives.
Mary accommodated our schedule by coming on a Saturday morning to perform a no obligation audit.  I can't express how happy we were to have made that decision. Mary spent a long time in the crawl space and in the attic, taking photos all the way so we could see the issues. 1) We have been in our home 3 years and never knew we had NO insulation in the crawl space  (we'd never gone down there and the home inspector did not bother to mention this). I'd always wondered why my slate kitchen floor was SO cold. None of the pipes were insulated. The dryer hose had 3 - 90 degree 'kinks' in it which Energy masters rectified for us.2)  The insulation in the attic was all to one side, leaving the other side with none. None of the duct work was insulated, etc. Air leaks everywhere. 3) Even though we had the heat set at 70 degrees I had always felt cold in the winter and the air from the heating ducts seemed to blow cool.  Mary showed us how the ducts were not sealed properly which was allowing the cold air from the crawl space to be blown up with the warm air. Not only did this cause us to run the heat much more often, that undesirable crawl space air was infiltrating our home. YUK!4) There were a number of other small issues taken care of, as well as a couple more we will address in the near future. When Mary says a 'complete audit', complete it is!
To address the air conditioning:  My (retired) husband is at home during the day so he knows when the air conditioning (or heat) usually kicks on. It was 95 degrees outside and he expected the air to go on at 1 pm, as in the past. Not with our new insulation! The air did not go on until 5:30 pm, ran a couple short times maintaining the 72 degrees we'd set it at, and then it was time to turn it off and open the windows for the evening. I can't wait to see our NV Energy bill for the past month; (when's the last time you could say the, eh?) Our last one was down $56 from average, taking into account corresponding temps of the prior year. This project was to be a 10 year payback. I have no doubt it will be far sooner.
One final word about the employees who worked on our project with Mary, Adolfo and Marcos. Again, professionals with great knowledge.  They worked methodically, carefully and took great pride in their work. You felt that your project was their only concern - no rush to finish and get on to another job.  Just as we felt 100% comfortable with Mary being in our home, we felt as comfortable with Adolfo and Marcos being there. We went about our daily business and just had them lock the house when they were through for the day. Not may contractors elicit that degree of trust. Thanks to you all for an job very well done!!!

    Energy Masters
My house was built in 1911. There was really no insulation left except some old newspapers.
I first contacted Energy Masters April 2014 and met with Lesley. She was punctual and took her time in discussing my needs and her recommendations.  She did a thorough evaluation of the attic space and basement areas.  I explained that the house would be undergoing extensive renovations and upgrades over the next six months or longer which would include a new HVAC system.  In addition, I explained that I would be managing this renovation project from Virginia, 2500 miles away. She said that it would be no problem and to just let her know when I was ready for the work. The next day I received the quote and submitted our deposit a few days after.
Over the next nine months Lesley and I kept in contact and I updated her on our contractor work progress.
In December 2014 I contacted Lesley to let her know my contractors were ready to seal the attic. We booked the work for three weeks later. The Energy Masters team completed the work in two days.
Energy Masters and Lesley were great to work with and very accommodating to the renovation schedule. I would hire Lesley and the Energy Masters team again and highly recommend them for any insulation needs. They do great work at a fair price.

    Gale Building Products
Excellent customer service from time of estimate through installation.  Professionals all the way around, competitive bid, great detail on product, and installers were courteous, professional, and efficient when installing the gutters.  Would highly recommend this company. I cannot disclose the exact price paid, but it was a middle bid among a number of bidders and was not far off from the low bidder.

    4 Seasons Insulation LLC
Awesome job by Dan and his crew... prompt, excellent service, great value.  Highly recommended!

Update:  Our heating bill in February 2014 was $402... February 2015: $163 !!
That's some big savings right there!  Some of it was due to a new, higher efficiency furnace, but most of it was
    Dan's insulation job!  Thanks again!

    Gale Building Products
I have a brick house and they were hired to paint the trim , brush and roller there was very little brushwork done mostly rolling and there are now roller marks where they missed on the brick . There was no taping off any of the trim to avoid making these kinds of mistakes and very little caulking was done. The paint on the windows
Is so thin that you can actually still see the wood through the paint no primer was used on them. Neither painter worked a full day and they arrived on the job every day in their own private vehicles which I thought was very unprofessional. I also had rain gutters installed by the same company, and this job turned out to be a very well done by a couple of very professional employees that did an excellent job and went far above and beyond what they needed to . so overall I get the painting Job a c grade and probably will not use them again for painting , however the rain gutter work was very well done and I will definitely use them for this work in the future.

    Gale Building Products
After a phone call on the morning of the installation I found out that it was my responsibility to confirm the appointment and not Gale Insulation. This was kind of strange? Anyway, after a couple of phone calls the insulation crew was assembled and arrived at my house at around 11:00 am instead of 7:00 am. The insulation crew in the attic was very efficient and had completed that portion of the job within less than 3 hours. The insulation crew under the house was able to install the plastic moisture barrier and insulation on the water pipes, but was not able to start on the floor insulation because the estimator had listed the floor joists as 18and quot; on center, instead of 24and quot; on center. Therefore, that portion of the job had to be completed during the morning of the following day. All of the crews were efficient and had the jobs completed in a reasonable amount of time. The insulation under the floor is generally ok, but there are some small gaps in some areas beneath the floor. It will be interesting to see how the Simpson Strong Tie IS Insulation Supports hold up in the next couple of years. Some of them are flipped down instead of up, thus not holding the insulation firmly against the floor plywood. Otherwise, Gale Insulation did a good job and I would consider hiring them for any future insulation jobs.

    Gale Building Products

First and foremost....Gale Building Products is an awesome company with top-notch professionals throughout every layer of the business. From Kim Young our sales representative to our crew today--Arturo and his brother, Jorge Gallegos, the high quality customer service and care in performing services is incredible.

Crew called 20 minutes before arrival--arrived a few minutes early. Arturo did a walk through of the areas and discussed what needed to be done. Then Arturo and Jorge put on booties and laid plastic through-out the entire house wherein the insulation hose had be...made sure that no floors, walls, furniture, etc. would be touched by the hose. This brother team was just awesome--nice guys that worked hard and treated our home as if it was their own--impressive. Polite, efficient and knowledgeable--they both took pride in their work and workmanship.

When the insulation was in...they cleaned up and asked us to inspect the work areas to make sure they hadn't missed anything--they hadn't! The house was spotless.

This was our second time using Gale and if we ever need anything else they provide, we would call them in a heartbeat. When you talk to Kim Young, you get straight answers and a fair price. He listens and makes sure that any concern is noted and provided to the office and the crew before work begins...Kim convinced us to try Gale and by using Gale, we used them again.

    thanks Kim, Arturo and Jorge

    Reno Renovators
A pipe was leaking inside the wall between the master bathroom and the outside. There was serious water damage to the studs and the wood just fell apart when you touched it. Todd with Reno Renovators came to the rescue! Todd recommended that we remove as much of the siding and insulation before the work started to let it air out and to save money. Once the crew got on the job, it was done within two days. Todd walked us through the whole process, which is nice for first-time homeowners, and his crew did a fantastic job.

My only criticism is that once the initial meeting took place, we didn't hear from him for some time. We understood that we were next on the list after they finished another job, but we didn't hear from him for a couple of weeks. A phone call would have been nice to reassure us that we weren't forgotten.

    Sierra Air Inc.
The men who came to our home were very intelligent, knowledgeable about the product, and hard-working.  They went into the attic and crawled under the house without skipping a beat!  The installation was done in great time and the techs knew what they were doing!  I cannot believe how fast they did the job, but more importantly, they did the job so that we know it will provide heat and air conditioning when we need it!  They tested and re-tested the controls and made sure everything was complete before leaving!  If you are getting work done of this type, use Sierra Air!  They Rock!!!
