    UCSF Medical Center
    They surgery was a 2-part outpatient process. They were very honest about how much pain I could expect from the surgery. They were all top-notch. My anesthesiologist sat with me for half an hour to make sure I recovered from the surgery. Just imagine 10 times the top service you would get anywhere else, pre-surgery, post-surgery, someone was always there. I've been in other hospitals for various things but I was just shocked at how great I was treated.

    I'm not really happy with them but I'm still using them. They kind of messed up my payments in because I've been paying online. It got messed up and then they're saying that I owe money and that it pays automatically so I've been dealing with that. Other than that, they're okay. They're expensive.

    Renown hospital and their Rehab center were both outstanding. I used them a year ago and was treated very well. I'm very satisfied and pleased with their service and care I received. They saved me from a very severe stroke.

    Kaiser Permanente Insurance
    Kaiser provided good service and care, although you can't pick the doctor who delivers your baby. The best part is you never receive a bill! I would use Kaiser again if I lived in California.

    AARP Medicare Plans
    Insurance coverage is Medicare supplement. So far the plan has worked as advertised. Only issue was they had coordinated with spouse's Medicare account, so provider was caught in the middle and told spouse to contact carrier to confirm coverage. Medicare said to speak with AARP And AARP said it needed to come from Medicare. After much discussion, AARP insurer straightened out the coordination, but it took some effort.

    The medication did not work and I had to go to an ENT Dr. who felt that the antibiotic that I was given was not very effective for my infection. I was also double billed for the visit and it took 6 months to  get the billing corrected.

    This insurance carrier is a work sponsored plan. The coverage is good as it is typical health plus eye, chiropractic, dental and prescriptions. The cost of the plan is typical for this kind of carrier but my company pays a larger than normal portion of the premiums for us.

    Everything went smooth! I had just declined my employer's coverage and was added to my husband's Aetna coverage. My employer's coverage has gotten considerably complicated over the years, and discouraged employees from going to the doctor. 
    Using Aetna has been a breeze and the copay was reasonable. Their online platform is convenient, and filing claims is very simple.

    Do not go here if you need medical assistance. I was feeling lousy and left work to see my regular doctor who sometimes sees patients through urgent care without an appointment. I have several medical issues for which myself and my doctor are well aware. I signed in and notified the receptionist /nurse of my situation and the symptoms I was having which are serious but not an emergency. I just needed to talk to a doctor to order blood work to check my levels and discuss my symptoms. This same set of symptoms had happened to me before and I knew what to expect with my illnesses. The nurse was very rude implying that I had come to the wrong place (which is upsetting when you are sick and in a medical facility trying to get help)and she proceeded to take me back and lay me in an exam room. I needed medical attention and was starting to realize that no one there was going to do anything to help me. Before I knew it she had called paramedics! I proceeded to have a full on panic attack when I realized what was happening and that I was going to get no medical help and not see my doctor or ANY doctor on staff that day and now I was going to have to pay for an ambulance as well. I told her I could drive myself to the hospital if that was the ONLY place I could talk to a doctor and that I did not need paramedics. She refused to let me leave in my car and before I knew it the paramedics were there. They were terrific and were horrified that no one in the facility would help me and said that what happened to me is unacceptable. They got me out of the office and into the back of the ambulance to make sure I was alright, they helped me calm my panic attack and talked to me about what was REALLY going on with my health and suggested I never return to the urgent care facility at Galena. (I left in my car and went to another urgent care medical facility and received care(not great care, but I was able to obtain services easily).What happened to me is disgusting and a disgrace to the medical profession. I am fully insured and went to a medical facility for medical help and was denied care. She actually told the paramedics that she let me lay in the back room as a courtesy! I am furious I was treated this way! I was dismissed and disregarded and I hope no one else ever has to go through what I went through- especially when your sick! Do yourself a favor and never go here!
