    I wish I could only give her a 1/10 of 1 star! The most absolute worse doctor on the face of the planet ever. She is absolutely worthless. I can give you a dozen examples, but I can say she that she does whatever she feels like doing regardless or your issues. She doesn't listen at all to anything at all that you have to say. She just wants to check your blood pressure & charge you for a office visit without doing anything. She refuses to help people that have any ailments besides the basic cold. Her office forces you to fill out a stupid survey about depression that asks "Have you ever been sad 1 day in your life?" so if you say yes, then the doctor will prescribe a anti-depressant and IGNORE all other of your real ailments! Don't waste your time, find someone else. She is a nightmare. I hate this doctor & can't believe that she even is a doctor. She has a very thick accent and is extremely difficult to understand also.

    Stead Medical Clinic
    Dr. Miyazaki took time out of his practice to serve in the military in Iraq before returning to the US. He's been my family doctor forever. He's unbelievable. You may have to wait a long time to see him, but it's because he takes whatever time is necessary to see each patient. They're a really family oriented office. He has no doctors on call, HE is the on call doctor and will call you at home when you need it.

    Dr. Jennifer Hornback is the consummate medical professional; she is very knowledgeable, thorough and easy to speak with. She answered my questions clearly and took time to carefully explain unfamiliar terminology. She has a busy practice, but she never seems rushed in the exam room. Like Dr. Hornback, her current nurse is conscientious, has a pleasant bedside manner, and follows up with phone calls and other tasks after the appointment. They make an effective team.

    I have been going here for about 4 years and the office, staff, and NP's are all wonderful.  I have gotten the best care and I love going to such a clean, friendly, available, non-judgmental office of treatment providers that practice both Western and Eastern Medicine.  The only problem is, now that they have switched to St. Mary's Medical Group, they do not take many insurances, although they are trying to re-certify the insurances and it can take up to 90 days.  Be sure to call them if you want great care and the option of alternative medicine, but be sure to ask if they take your insurance while they are in this transition phase.

    The waiting room had a big tv but had some sort of screen saver on a loop which I felt made the wait feel longer. The ladies in the office were very pleasant and seemed happy to be there. The medical assistant who took me back and took my vitals was a bit cold and had a less than desirable bedside manner. After about 30 minutes of waiting dr Mckenzie came in and was great. He was attentive and listened but was very straight to the point. It did not feel rushed. He was very knowledgeable on all of the issues I presented to him.

    My complaint is about their office staff management and treatment of patients, not service from the practitioners.

    My doctor is Phil Landis, who worked at this clinic when it was called Great Basin Medical Group, Inc. I made an appointment with the nurse practitioner and went in to get a refill. To my surprise when I checked in, I was told that they had been bought out by St. Mary?s. Shouldn?t they have told me that when I made the appointment? Shouldn?t I have received a letter notifiying me of the changes and where my doctor went? My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Landis and neither of us received any notification.  I said that I wasn?t in that health plan, and they said that they were accepting patients for 3 months under their existing plan and that then I had to find a new doctor!  The office staff said Dr. Landis no longer worked there. I asked where he had gone, and the office staff person said she ?had no idea.? Strange that after a couple weeks of searching for Dr. Landis, my husband found that he had moved across the hall. I have never had such lack of service from a medical practice.  

    The nurse practitioner is wonderful and took care of me as always.

    He's fantastic. He's intelligent. He's very good and he listens. I'm very homeopathic so I try to blend the both of them together and he's very willing to go along with me on this on certain cases. On other cases, he stands firm and says, "No, we're doing it this way." He's excellent on punctuality. I have not waited more than five to ten minutes when I've gone on to see him and that's pretty impressive. When you're seeing him, you don't feel like he's rushing you like, "Okay, I can only spend ten minutes with you." He takes all the time in the world and yet he's punctual. His nurse is fantastic.

    Dr. Hornback is very competent and caring doctor. The office will make room for an appointment for you if you need to be seen immediately for a illness that requires attention but not an ER visit.. Her medical assistants are very prompt in calling back results for medical tests. The office staff is friendly and efficient. I have never experienced any problems with billing or appointments.
    I only rated punctuality a and quot;Band quot; as appointments can run late (not excessively). This is due to her taking the time she needs with you, which I find to be a benefit.

    It is a small business. I just like the camaraderie there. If it is an emergency, they have certain days that it is a walk-in clinic, four days a week. Most of them are in the morning like from 7 to 12. If you have an emergency or if you are not feeling well, you can walk-in with out an appointment and they will see you in. Their office environment is wonderful. It gets bugged down because of the walk-in patients. On Fridays, they do not have the walk-in clinic. It is just the office girls and one doctor there. There is a total of four doctors.

    He's calm and always takes kind of a conservative route for care. He takes things slowly and makes sure, if you need tests or whatever, that you get whatever you need. I like that. He doesn't throw drugs at the patients. There's always someone available there, if you need urgent care. The office is an urgent care facility. Your regular doctor is easily available Monday through Thursday, if you need to get in to see him. They'll have an opening within a day or two. But if it's something that you feel urgent about, they'll find time for you to come in during that day. The office is very good about getting you in, to see the doctor. The nurses are always nice and personable. They're always really personable and calm. I don't like going to the doctor. He doesn't make you get anything that's unnecessary. He tells you why something is necessary if it is and what you need to do. He'll explain things to you, but he doesn't go overboard. He just tells you as much as you want to know, which is great. And he explains everything to you in common English and doesn't use a lot of jargon, which is nice.
