    Tahoe Clear Pool and Spa
After a tree fell on our roof and damaged the eve, most roofing companies wouldn’t even look at it. I found Kyle by chance and I’m so glad we did! The job was done quickly and looks amazing. He was professional and communicated throughout the entire job. Kyle has an extensive skill set and I will be calling him as other jobs pop up. Highly recommend Eastman Home Repairs!

    Denny's Electric & Excavating
I google searched for live phone help for electrical assistance with my outlet not getting power to it. I found that tgey gave free phone help and so decided to call. He was very helpful and after 30 minutes over the phone all had been solved. All that for $30 and he wasn't even going to charge me but I insisted. Thanks again for everything!

    Electric City
I thought he was great.  Obviously knew what he was doing and was all to get it done fast.  He was quick, cleaned up after himself, and very pleasant to work with.  His price was fair and I trusted him in my home.

I just bought this house recently, and the prior owner made some questionable decisions regarding some wiring in the garage.  Instead of a simple ceiling light there was this real mess of wiring that split off multiple times.  After a month or so in the house, the light quit turning on.   Being out in Fernley, there's not much in the way of local contractors.  I had called one other local provider, but it took them 4 days to return my call.  In the meantime, I found DC Electric here on Angie's list and gave Craig a call. Craig called me back shortly after I left a message.  He was friendly and polite, and asked good, detailed questions that showed a thorough understanding of his profession.  He gave me a ballpark estimate of the cost and had me send over some pictures from my phone.  Upon further review and discussion of what I wanted, he revised his estimate downwards. As he came out to Fernley from Reno, he bundled up several jobs in the area to justify the trip.  He didn't show up exactly at the estimated time of arrival, but called to let me know what was going on.  I had told him I'd be home all day, so the minor delay in arriving was no factor to me - I'm just happy that he made the drive out here at all. The actual issue was diagnosed and corrected in short order, and appeared to be a shoddy home job by the prior occupant of the house.  The final charge was a simple "basic service call" rate.  I had done some prep work of the area before he arrived, which resulted in being charged $50 less than I had been anticipating. Having always heard anecdotal stories of sub-contractors padding hours or doing unnecessary work in order to charge more, it's refreshing to find an electrician who's willing to drive long distances to your house and charges you less than his phone estimate based on the work ending up being easier than anticipated. Thanks Craig!

An hour after I called, Lawrence showed exactly when he said he would, and brought a great team with him.  They were able to take out old light fixtures from the ceiling and replace them with new fan/light combos.  He and his team were beyond friendly, and they got the job done faster than I had ever expected.  I've hired four different electricians over the years and this was the best and most affordable experience by far.  Lawrence is down to earth, easy to get along with, and gets the job done fast and right.  I'll definitely use him for any and all home repair. A++++++++++

    SOUTH BAY ELECTRIC COMPANY
It is almost impossibly difficult being an out of town landlord.  The only thing that makes it possible is to find qualified repair persons whom you can trust.  I would definitely place Ian Marsh and South Bay Electric Company in that category.  Because I was not there, I can't give a blow by blow account, but I can say that Ian fixed the problem quickly at what I consider to be a reasonable price and a minimum of anxiety on my part!

Went well I love that they do free estimates - I hate paying for someone to come out to tell me how much to pay them. Set up a date. They were an hour and a half late - didn't effect me too much since I was at home anyway but could have been annoying. Someone had called in that morning so they had to pull a guy from another job and rearrange stuff to get me done that day which I DO appreciate. I really liked the guys that did the work and Jim the owner seems mild mannered and fair. Their prices are VERY reasonable. And although they bid for a light switch to go with the porch light - because of the light fixture I got it wasn't necessary and they told me as much - again saving me money. Which allowed me to add on additional projects that were lower priority and still everything stayed within my budget whereas another highly rated provider on here literally bid me DOUBLE what these guys bid for the same original job.  I didn't like the way that they were going to install the porch light on a box? So I asked them to flush mount it to the wall - and they did without charging me extra - but it seems to me that is the only way it should have been done anyway. There were some bumps along the road - they are a baby company (I think) so you kind of get what you pay for as far as experience and professionalism. I am a pretty easy going person (in that regard anyway) so I just rolled with it. I felt that they were there to give me a good value and they did. They did everything that they said that they would and more. There was a minor $50 discrepancy at the end that we hashed out and going back to their pricing I don't believe there is anyone in town. that could have touched the price they gave for all the work they did. Wire porch light, 3 outdoor receptacle (2 quad, 1 single) 1 interior receptacle, 2 new hard wired garage light fixtures, 1 new garage receptacle, one garage replaced receptacle, one ceiling fan replaced, and fixed the wiring for a porch light that was installed not to code by someone else.
