  • let the buyer beware... a shelby's auto center engine replacement left me stranded in california when the re-manufactured engine i purchased from him failed after 3k miles. all service had been done correctly and timely. shelby would not stand behind the warranty. however, a nearby mechanic in cal was on the same warranty program as shelby. he communicated with the engine re-manufacturer and they replaced the engine - no charge at all, no thanks to shelby. however the labor was $2,000. it has taken me 3 months, a few thousand dollars and traveling between NM and Cal to get this done rather than just losing the vehicle. also, shelby would not provide receipts for especially the new radiator, costing me $200+ when it could have been replaced under that warranty. i live on VA disability and SS. this has been a very poor and expensive mistake.

  • He's reasonably priced, and if there's something he can't do he will always refer us to great provider. He's personable and cares about his customers. He always gives a fair price and stands by his work. He gives single moms free oil changes, he and his wife are great all around people.

  • They're pretty good. I've used them actually once, which was three months ago for the rack and pinon, but they do offer oil changes and I think I might go down there for that for now on. They were courteous, concerned and gave me a really good price.

  • Horizon Auto Glass & Tint was extremely busy the day I went in, so I made an appointment for the following morning to replace a windshield that had a three foot long crack. They finished the job an hour earlier than what was expected. Horizon has consistently provided excellent products and service. We have used them several times, both for windshield replacement and window tinting. Will continue to use their services!

  • I made an appt to bring my car in to have my brakes looked at.
    I took off of work to arrive right on time only to be told that the mechanic would not be able to look at my car.
    I was told I could leave it if I wanted which would be impossible given I would need to make alternate arrangements for a ride. - Silly suggestion on their part.
    I asked why no one called since I had had to take off of work to bring it down. 
    No sincere apology, no explanation. I truly understand that some things are out of their control but I do feel if you make an appt it is their responsibility to alert you if they will not be able to hold up their end of the deal.
    Seems like they have decent reviews but I will not be back and would not suggest supporting this lack of professionalism.

  • Took car in on short noticed, serviced quickly.  Check mechanicals carefully for unusual noises and found none.  Recommended use of gas additive (Techron - which I have heard is actually effective) without trying to sell any.  Informed us what to expect with a VW over 100,000 miles and what to look for next.  Anton's has serviced this vehicle since 15k and it hasn't needed anything more extensive than belt tensioners.

  • I originally went to Don's because one of our vehicles seemed to be losing oil.  The location was convenient, we were looking for someplace new and they had a coupon.  We were told they couldn't find any sign of active leaking and to bring it back in a couple days and they would look again.  They didn't charge me and the problem went away.  When the vehicle needed a once over, a tune-up and some repairs we took it back.  Don was totally honest with us about what was, and wasn't worth fixing on an old car with almost 200,000 miles.  They did find a seal leaking slightly, but Don told us he wouldn't fix that if it were his personal vehicle.  It just wasn't worth the cost.  We had the other work done and asked them to look at a problem with the cruise control (that one of the big chain service centers said they couldn't fix) while they were at it.  Don's fixed the cruise control, no problem. More recently, a different vehicle began having issues starting.  We took it to Don's and after they checked it, they sent us to the dealer for what would turn out to be a just-issued recall.  Again, we weren't charged for the diagnostic.  We feel like we've finally found a mechanic shop we can trust and depend on.

  • The service I needed to have completed was estimated. After I agreed to the service it was completed on the day and time promised. I have confidence in the work that was done on my RV. I appreciated the extra time they spent in answering some of my questions regarding battery maintenance and use of the generator.

  • Identified the cylinder head as the problem.  Flushed the contaminated oil from the system. took time to  perform the smaller details that other service providers often miss. Kept me informed of the problems and costs at each stage.
