    TLC Plumbing, Heating, Cooling
Fine. I was able to obtain a Preventive Maintenance Contract that will include servicing the A/C units in the Spring. I thought the price was high compared to my last home, but it is of course a different market. The technicians were professional and punctual and answered all my questions. That's most important

    Cypress B Plumbing & Heating
Chris Blea came out within 2 hours and discovered a mouse had chewed the wiring. He was able to change out the wiring within 30 minutes. His pricing was fair and he also came back the same day to install a new thermostat. Other companies who responded said they would charge 150. an hour just to come out (Chris comes free of charge) others said they could be there in 2-3 days, but we all know AC issues cant wait that long! Im from TX and have learned that quality/competent workers are a rarity in NM. I cant recommend Cypress Heating & AC highly enough!

    TLC Plumbing, Heating, Cooling
I can't say enough good things about TLC. I got a couple of price quotes, one of which took a week to obtain after the representative visited my home. The TLC person came to my home the day I called, gave me a quote that afternoon which was comparable with the other quotes and a four unit system was installed four days later-in late June. The technicians were all pleasant, taking great care to clean up after their work, courteous and professional. They took great pains to be sure that the system was did not adversely impact the aesthetics of my home. I would use them for any future jobs.

    Cypress B Plumbing & Heating
Chris used a novice, poorly trained guy to do the vast majority of the work. I had leaks I had to bring to his attention, I now have crooked, sloppy piping and the boiler is clunking and there is a slow leak. I also paid an additional $600 for two zone valves that were not needed. At first I as told that the cold pipe was the valve not working, then after they were replaced, I was told - oh give it 24 hours - it takes time. Ripoff. After Chris left, there was a leak found and the boiler was also clunking hard, which is likely a results of improper flushing/bleeding. After Chris rudely told me on the phone to tighten it myself because it was my **** - he hung up on me. This was literally less than 60 minutes after he took my $4200 cash and bolted. Incompetent and Unethical. He should have his license pulled for the crap work he pulled off. Even now - the big cardboard box that the new $1200 tank came in is sitting in my yard even after I reminded them to haul it off - twice. I also had to cover up the water main cover/meter after the flunky left them there when he took off. I wish I could post the video I took of water pouring out of a pipe joint while the flunky sat texting in his car. Yeah. that bad.

    James Plumbing & Heating Inc
I called James' Plumbing and Heating on the basis of the many positive reviews on Angie's List. At the time I called for service, I was told to expect a plumber between 10:00 and noon. This did not happen; however, when I called again, James promised that he would be there immediately and arrived in about 15 minutes. He made an accurate diagnosis and temporary repair with parts that he had on his truck and promised to return the next day to complete the repair. As promised, he sent, Carlos, who had all the needed parts and who had been accurately briefed about the job. Carlos was fast, thorough, and careful. He answered all my questions clearly. After concluding the repair, and departing, he returned, because he had noticed a code violation, done by a previous plumber, and had forgotten to mention it to me. He corrected the violation at no charge. Overall, my experience with James' Plumbing and Heating was EXCELLENT. James and Carlos were thoughtful and careful, and charges for both service visits were reasonable. Carlos really delivered outstanding service. I recommend the company without reservation.

    Desert Sky Plumbing and Heating
Dave was open and took time and effort to explain exactly what was wrong. He was methodical in diagnosis and did excellent work. I was a surprise that he appeared exactly at the appointed time! Great work done! Dave corrected work previously incorrectly performed. Great Job, Dave!

Daniels Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, LLC
The previous plumber we hired backed out of the job and returned our deposit after three site visits, so we were so glad to find Daniels. We have 2 buildings on the lot and we wanted water main shut offs for both buildings, and two separate PRVs. For reasons too hard to explain quickly, this was not an easy job. The plumbers who did the work, Jeff and Tyler, have an intellectual understanding of plumbing that you don't find very often. Their solution to our tricky plumbing was outstanding and we are so glad we hired them. Expertise like this doesn't come cheap, and one of the bids we received was ridiculously low and the outcome might have been a disaster for our property. You get what you pay for, and when the stakes are high you need the kind of expertise they have at Daniels.

    Roadrunner Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
RR is a very good company and I recommend them. That said, even with the best of companies we consumers must do our homework and stay on top of things. The story: at the outset, I believed there was a leak in my 11 year old Rheem HWH, and I called Roadrunner because I have historically had an HVAC home maintenance agreement with them. They came very promptly and determined that the source of the water was actually a pinprick hole in the recirculating pump. That leak, however, had thoroughly soaked the particle board shelf below the HWH. The RR rep recommended replacing it because it had become spongy and ill-suited to support the machinery on top of it. He also suggested that the old HWH be replaced since - on average - they don't last much more than 12 years. I had already verified that such was the case so I concurred (after all - - why have them come twice if they're going to have to come back soon anyway?). Two other reps came promptly the following day to do the job. There was a glitch during the installation process, however, and I called the company to express my concern. To his complete credit, owner Derek Cunningham instantly recognized that my concern was valid, and within two days his people returned to resolve the issue. So yes, I would indeed recommend RoadRunner to other area consumers for their HVAC issues. The only qualification I have relates more to me personally and (probably) other consumers like me than it does to RR. First, before you have any major appliance replaced, research your options and determine which EXACT model is right for you. (Personally, I like Rheem HWHs the best and would not live in a house without that brand.) Make sure that the model you want is in stock. Second, when you decide to have work done, make sure you and the company representative are in sync that the EXACT model you want will be installed, and (b) whether you will be charged for "time and materials" or "by the job." If the latter, be very clear as to what kind of thing(s) are and are not included in "the job" Bottom line: there is room for a lot of misunderstanding to take place between representatives of companies that install and replace hundreds of HWHs every year and the average consumer like me who buys one, maybe, once a decade. All in all, two thumbs up to RR, and kudos to Derek Cunningham for his integrity and honesty. I wish I could say the same for certain other companies I've done business with in the past . . .

Terrible. I've had a 15-year relationship with Marc. He did all the plumbing when my house was built. We became friends of sort. He did a lot of work throughout the years. He was always impossible to contact, he would disappear for six months at a time, but because he knew my house and was an excellent plumber I put up with all the unprofessionalism. I would usually pay him cash and eventually the work would be completed. However, this solar job was expensive and I guess everyone has their price. I gave him $4,000 in cash to buy panels and other parts and I implicitly trusted him. But I guess $4,000 was enough for him to disappear forever. In the end Marcus Scott is a crook.
