    Eldorado Automotive Repair
Very well! Dave is trustworthy and knows what he's doing. If a car isn't worth fixing, he will tell you, rather than take your money to fix something that isn't worth the investment. It's hard to find an honest mechanic these days. When I first found Dave I lived in Eldorado, now I live outside of Albuquerque, and I still take my car to Dave. I wouldn't trust it to anyone else!

    PORTILLO'S ALIGNMENT & BRAKES
I was told by the Subaru dealer that my rear brakes were needing to be replaced. Their price was very high and I went to Portillo's who was recommended by Discount Tire where my tires are serviced. James at Portillo's called to tell me my brakes were not even half worn and there was no reason to replace them. I appreciated his honesty! He performed a full brake inspection and did do an alignment at a very reasonable price.

    AutoRight Collision Repair
This was a re-paint job bungled by another shop, paid for by the insurance company. The job was scheduled to take 20 working days. It took 24. We called on the 20th day and were told it would probably take another 4, which it did. They called us when it was ready. We picked up a shiny car with all the little dings fixed as we had asked.

They've always been excellent. We haven't used anybody else in Santa Fe for service. We bought the car there in 2007 and it just always goes back there for service. The wait time depends on what scheduled maintenance it is.

    AUTOMOTIVE RESOURCES
I have an old Jaguar, which was a gift. It is a 2005 Jaguar. I have Automotive Resources, which handles, which is one of the places in Santa Fe, and there's not a plethora of them, that do foreign cars. I find them wonderful. Anytime you have something like a Jaguar or a BMW repaired, it's going to be expensive. These guys are, if something is not fixed, they guarantee if forever. They will replace big parts of your engine if it doesn't work the way it's supposed to. They're terrific. I love them. My air conditioning was blowing barely cool and they put in a compressor last year and they're putting in a new compressor when I go back tomorrow or the next day. The compressor seems to be failing and so they will replace it because it's under their guarantee. No questions asked; no argument, no nothing. Very nice, very good service. They will take you home and they will wash your car when you're gone. It's very neat. When you're dealing in old parts for luxury cars, I have to give their price an "A". I checked into it because when I get a headlight replaced it costs about a hundred-something dollars and I talked to someone the other day who owns a Ford and they said, "well, that doesn't cost me that much when I take it in to a Ford company" and I said, "Oh, well, how 'bout that?" But, also because they guarantee the part. If the part goes out before the guarantee, they replace it no questions asked.

    Subaru of Pueblo
I always use the Subaru dealer in Pueblo, CO. because that's what I have.? My second home; they're wonderful, they're reliable.? I'm in my Santa Fe, NM home right now.? I have nothing against the dealer here, but they're not as organized, to me.? They don't strike me as so easy to get along with, as easy to get to.??I get very good?service, so I take it in when I'm back there.? They're perfect.? If I need windshield wipers put on, they put them on, if I have a rattle, they find it or they say it's nothing.? I can go in almost any time, the guys are great, and they really know Subarus.? You realize the moment you recommend a company you'll never get in there again; they'll be too crowded. When you have rental properties, you can't do without Angie's List.? It's always a good starting point. The nice thing about it is, whether I'm out here in Santa Fe or I'm in Colorado, when you're a woman alone - and I'm a widow, I look young but I'm up there - you want to know the company is working for somebody besides you. They want to keep that rating.? It'll give you a little extra muscle.? Subarus, especially the new ones, don't take a lot of service.? I'll give them A's on everything.? They do call you later and make sure you're happy.

    Toyota of Santa Fe
I have an extended warranty so that's why I still go to them. I did also take it in on another occasion because I have a hybrid and I'm getting terrible gas mileage. They checked it out and they said there's nothing wrong. There's something wrong when a hybrid gets less than a regular Toyota. They telling us it's the weather or it's the type of gas you're using. They're just giving us a bunch of excuses. At some point I am going to write a letter to Toyota about it. There was no cost because I have that extended warranty. We went there looking for another car and we ended up going somewhere else. Well, they're not resolving my problems. They said they checked out the car and there's nothing wrong but it's still getting 34 miles per gallon and when I got the hybrid it was 40-42. That's a big drop. I don't know if they're not addressing it or they don't know how to fix it. I haven't had time to research it or write to Toyota about it. That will be my next step to write to the main headquarters. Their punctuality is good but I have walked out of the dealership twice and called them liars. That's why I'm giving them the B. They always take it and return it fine but I just haven't been happy. Some of the things they are saying are absolute lies and untruths. Punctuality is good. They're a nice enough dealership but I have had issues. It's crazy.  I don't know what to do at this point except to write a letter that I'm totally dissatisfied. At this point I would tell people don't buy a Hybrid. Buy a regular car. It costs less and you get the same mileage. This is a Camry hybrid not a Prius.

    CARMAX
We had a very good experience with them. It was a Toyota Sequoia and we had gone to another Toyota dealership. It was a 2016 and they wanted $15000 more than we got it at Carmax. They're pretty expensive cars and we weren't going to pay what they were asking you might say. We also took out a service contract with them so we can take the car down there to get it serviced. We just dropped by and happened to see a couple of cars sitting. Then I took my husband down there and we test drove it and bought it.
