These guys are the last people to call if you want something done right. Took them 3 times longer to do it than quoted, tried to cut corners, and we had to babysit them the whole time to make sure they were doing things right. Apparently, a couple of days was "bring your girlfriend to work" day. I could have hired a team of pre-schoolers and had a better job done. Wound up repairing most of what they forgot to do myself. Save yourself the hassle, money, and time and look for a professional team to do your repairing. These guys apparently need to go back to "fix it" school or find another job. They certainly don't know how to do this one!

Terrible.  The completion was promised in December 2011 but due to several unexplained delays, my Mom couldn't move in until April 2012.  Just before closing, the state put a lien on the contractor's property which included the property that he contracted with my Mom to build.  The state told her that if she didn't pay some of his back taxes they would not release the property for transfer.  JP Stone (the mortgage company) stated that if the property wasn't released, they would put the it up for bid.  Since my Mom had already sold her house and had paid money to the contractor, she had no choice but to pay a portion of his taxes and other charges (late fees and interest for his loan).  My Mom recently took him to court and was awarded $28,000 but the judge wished her luck in collecting.  It has been about a year since the judgment and there has been no payments from Jonathan.
Since moving into the property, there have been many problems with the units.  Jonathan went out of business and left my Mom with problems that she has to resolve that cost additional time and money.  She paid for the garage doors but the vendor now has a lien on her property and is suing her for the cost of the doors.  There are electrical, plumbing, and structural problems with the units.  Although she is not the only person to have problems with Jonathan, she is one of the few that took him to court.
The contractor is fairly young but has done business under a variety of different names.  Some of the names include MMJ Builders, and Roswell Home Pro.  He may try to do business in the future under a different name.  Any future business may be put in his wife's name, Maria Gotsche.  Beware of this contractor.

With this company dont leave when they are working. I had a freeze my son and his friends fixed the plumbing so we could shower, I got an estimate from a very good company for the plumbing requesting that they do it. When I hired Mr.Dreager he hired someone else and charged me $300.00 more than the other company. He sent them to insulate the plumbing and was very upset that I stoped them to put in new plumbing and inspect the work he said he could do, there was also a p trap that needed to be replaced and once again I stopped them before the sheet rock was put up Mr.Dreager stating that the plumbers are attic monkeys "dont worry". When the guy came to put in the pex pipe it blew and got the new sheet rock and insulattion wet Mr Dreager said " its a good thing sheetrock is resilient" . He stooped working in early april and I called him mid May when the check came in. After multipul calls he wanted to start in Aug. I do have all contact with him documented pictures of work and recordings of conversations with him when I started to feel I might need them later. Do have him get the money from the insurance company,(this man can talk) Dont leave any one working alone watch them all the time Mr. Dreager does tell them what to do and where to cut. The work is shoty at best and beleave me he does get his money and you get alot less then you pay for.

The company was great! The workers always showed up on time and worked hard. They completed it in six days, with the crew even showing up on a Saturday to finish everything. They cleaned up any mess they made and were very easy to work with. We couldn't be happier!

Tucker Renovations, Inc. (lic# 9144000878), P.O. Box 1267, Portales, NM 88130 built our house in Roswell. Our complaints are with the compliance with our specifications and desires, the quality of the workmanship, and the unsatisfactory completion of punch list items. A few examples are as follows:o    There has been no action in the stucco problem: incorrect color, wrong size trim, poor finish, undercoat wires exposed and rusting, and severe cracking/pieces falling off.o     Some of the windows don't seal out the wind and sand when closed. According to the window manufacturer the problem is out-of-square window frames. No satisfactory action has been taken to fix the problem.o     We asked for no roof vents because we wanted a powered roof exhaust fan, but we got the vents and the fan, too, although the fan was installed after we pointed out it was missing. The powered roof fan was not installed correctly, and the contractor refrused to fix the problem. A section of the roof leaked and had to be re-shingled. At that time we had the roofer remove the roof fan, as it was not installed correctly causing noise throughout the house when it was on. o     Contractor ignored our requests for colors in several places, e.g. shingles, stucco, tile grout, cabinets, and bathroom counter top.o     Water accumulates in a puddle in front of the door, as the concrete is not graded away from the entrance.o     We asked for a large cased opening instead of a door for the master BR closet; we got the door.o     There are blemishes (dents, scratches, ill-fixed damages) in the woodwork throughout the house.o     Other problems were reluctantly fixed but beg to be mentioned in order to obtain a flavor for the magnitude of the problems with this builder: 2 colors of tile in the foyer and living room, driveway with hump too great for car to drive over. Proposed roofline caused water run-off over front door, and our request for a different roofline was ignored. Now we have gutters as a compromise fix..Dealing with Tucker Renovations has been futile. When legal action was mentioned to Mike Tucker, he said, "Bring it on!"

We purchased this home so I would not have as much to take care of since it was a new home.  We knew at that time that my husband was in very poor health and might not have long to live. He passed away on March 28, 2011.
    • Under warranty and fixed by someone else:  Fiberglass shower developed a hole near the drain Things that were wrong and Shackelford fixed after threat of lawsuit: Replaced faucet on front porch that was leaking constantly,  Replaced electrical box under light on back porch with the correct size box,  Repaired hole in office wall,  Removed dish from roof and filled holes,  Placed drip guard over heat pump on roof Things that were fixed before we signed: Heat pump,  Stained fence,  Replaced loose faucet in bathroom Things the realtors husband repaired before we signed: Gate into backyard,  Replaced light globes in entry hall (one was broken and had never been replaced) , Open electrical box beside the garage door inside,  Mowed and cleaned the yard,  Tightened thermostat on wall Things that I have had to replace or repair or still need to repair since John passed away: Insulate attic, Replace the roof vent for the dryer (wrong vent and the screen was welded in place),  There is a trail of dirt inside the front door in 3 places when the wind blows,  Windows have a collection of dirt where the top and bottom windows meet , Had to replace all door handles when the one into the garage broke in my hand (had ½ inch screws in the strike plate on the deadbolt at the back door.) , Handles on both bathroom doors will not stay latched , Phone jacks have to be repaired every time a phone cord is plugged in or unplugged, AC ducting in the attic was not properly finished, were not tied to the vents correctly,  Can lights in ceiling did not have the finish trim installed , Microwave filter system not installed,  No bumpers installed on cabinet doors Things Shackelford did or did not do that were caused by inattention or something He never finished the covenants and filled them with the county,  Gatedcommunity  and the gate has never worked for more than a day or two and the remote access was never wired into the houses.  He built all the houses in this cul-de-sac and the house to South of me is 2 feet over on my property and on the property line on the other side of the that house. The fence for that property is about 5 feet over on my property and their storage shed is mostly on my property. He just was not paying attention!

It went OK. Just OK. The manager / owner was very professional and the salesman that came to our residence was his brother from Texas. He came while i wasn't home and based his quote on our insurance papers--one thing I didn't like. i would have preferred a quote based upon his experience instead. He also gave my wife a document to sign without me present--something I blame myself for more than the company--and on that document it stated we did not get to choose the style or color of the shingles.

The actual reroofing went well. The stripping took two days as I mentioned and I am pretty sure any free hand he could find was on my roof; the actual roofers were experts out of El Paso--that was subcontracted--and they reroofed it without issue.

The initial cleanup could have been better. They did a cleanup of shingles and nails (visual only) and spent about 30 minutes with a few guys to do it. We called them back and told them it wasn't good enough, and they came back and redid the cleanup and apologized. After that we found an occasional nail but that's to be expected.

We also had them put in a vent for our stove. You would think they would do this BEFORE the new roof was in place, but instead it was done after. The two individuals that came spoke spanish to each other--I know spanish, and the foreman was correctly explaining how to install it to his assistant, but after I got up on the roof I saw it was done contrary to his instructions. (The stove vent was placed on top of all shingles and caulked into place.) The foreman did get on the roof to inspect his assistants work but did not make him do it again. I also did not complain--rather I just fixed it myself.
