AAdvanced American Construction Inc.From the beginning we met George, the owner of Advanced American, and he was courteous and up front about the challenges we faced with this extensive renovation. This is a vacation home and we expressed to George how important it was for us to be able to trust his team to work on unsupervised other than occasional inspections. We felt comfortable with George and his honest assessments and decided to move forward with the project. He is the kind of contractor that will tell you from the beginning how much something will cost and not surprise you later with charges for things that were more complex than expected. He is very frank about what is required and how much it will cost in order to do a quality job. He does not cut corners and would rather not perform the work than do subpar work that will lead to issues in the future. He won't sugar coat the difficulty of the work needed and will not draw you in with a low ball quote only to double it on the backend. He is very knowledgeable home construction overall and his team can really take on almost anything. George always picks up his phone or returns calls as soon as possible. We left many valuable items in the home and ordered many things to be received by his team and not one item went missing or was damaged in the home. He stands behind the work and with minimal supervision completed the project and met all of our expectations. We would highly recommend his services and are thankful for the time and effort put forth by his team.- VIctor A.

ARiley Concrete LLCNot much to the story...called David, made appointment, he came out, prepared estimate and discussed scope of work, he and his crew arrived on the day and time that they were scheduled, got in and got the job done, came back in 2 weeks to stain and seal the concrete, job done! Seriously, the quality is awesome! I have seen some crummy texture and stain jobs, these guys know what they are doing. It's impossible to do a tear out and re-pour without disturbing the existing landscaping, but his crew did a great job of minimizing the damage and cleaning up the normal "mess" that goes along with a pour. Great communicator...no surprises. Iwill hire him again if I need any additional work, it was a very smooth transaction.- Ben G.

ASouthwest Adobe and ConcreteI had gotten 4 bids for the job. Southwest was not the least expensive nor the most expensive (in middle). Rob Jacquez is the owner and runs the day to day operation. They did the work on the committed schedule. The attention to detail and quality of work was very good. Because this was a modular house (built offsite and set on foundation by crane or roller), it was critical that the foundation was 'spot on' in terms of being square and level. The company who set the house on the foundation indicated that it was one of the best they had seen (and they have installed literally 100's across NM and surrounding states). Overall, I was very pleased with Rob's professionalism and quality of work.- Brian C.

AEz ShadeThis was a major upgrade for our whole house. The siding made it all go together, and I haven't had to paint since. The mother-in-law quarters is really my and quot;man cave, and quot; and I can't express how much this also adds to our house. The epoxy coverings of concrete in garages is easy to clean, very good looking, and make the garage and quarters feel like a tile floor. Metal building went up fast and efficient. We love it. Dennis and Eric are great to work with.- Michael L.

BProfessional ContractingFairly well. There were flood issues, zoning issues, foundation issues that all had to be solved either before or during construction, so the project took longer than originally planned. The workmanship of most of the subcontractors was excellent, and due to the efforts of Cyndee Bourquet, our building liaison, all issues during construction were resolved. Art DeLaCerda, one of the partners, was always able to respond to questions clearly, especially the financial ones.- Edward C.

FEz ShadeA few years ago Dennis and Eric put a concrete-like coating on a large wood deck of mine. They were supposed to also replace the railing and stairs. Immediately the coating started to fail. Instead of fixing the coating or the deck, they ignored the problem entirely. They never finished the railing or stairs. The deck rotted underneath the coating. At this point the deck will have to be replaced. I have received multiple promises over the past few years from Eric to make things right, but he never came through. Buyer beware! Update: Eric promised to come fix the deck. They were going to remove it and install the new one. I was going to pay for the lumber. Eric put me off after coming to measure it. I wouldn't call him, but he'd call every once in a while to say he hadn't forgotten me. Eric has been let go. His father, the current owner Dennis, is unwilling to do anything his son promised to do because I "flamed him on Facebook." I wrote a bad review because he did bad work. That's what happens.- Allen E.

FOsborn's Excvation & LandscapeIn removing the old driveway, he did significant damage to the stucco on the front of our house. He raised the price more than once throughout the several days it took him to do the work. He provided absolutely no grade on one section of driveway where I requested a slight drainage grade. There, and on the sidewalk, we now have large pools of water whenever it rains (and dangerous ice in the winter). These pools are up to an inch deep because of the extremely irregular surface finish. He mis-estimated a concrete order, which means one half of the driveway has an ugly-looking small "afterthought" segment 2 feet long. In the several months since the job, several long, deep cracks have developed. In re-paving our sidewalk, he mis-seated the anchors for two roof support posts. They were several inches out of plumb. I had to grind out the steel anchors, patch with new concrete, and install new anchors and post bases.- Ben N.

FNo inspection was ordered or done even though this was supposed to have been included in the price. After months of patiently waiting for the inspection I called City Planning and was told the plumber - Advanced American Construction never called it in. If they don't call it in the City will not come out and inspect. I was also not able to get a receipt on company letterhead for the work done. I got a cheesy email with no company logo and was told to use my cancelled check as a receipt. I was also told if I had any problems to call the manufacturer. I would not recommend this company.

ATorres Construction LLC was referred by a neighbor here in Port St. Joe Beach, Fl. After contacting Mr. Torres a meeting time was set for the following day. Mr. Torres arrived promptly, he was courteous and he came prepared to discuss the outdoor patio shower. First, he listened to our ideas and answered our questions regarding the design and materials available. He then showed pictures of outside showers he had constructed in our area and guided us on the preferred materials for a beach area. After deciding the type shower we liked, he then prepared a quite reasonable and acceptable estimate. Surprisingly, he was prepared to begin the project the next day. The quality and craftsmanship in the finished shower were excellent. In fact, his company will now begin on our kitchen renovation and interior painting projects. I highly recommend Mr. Torres and his company for any construction projects in your future. It has been a pleasure working with Mr.Torres and the professional work his company provides. Thank you Mr. Torres Jim/Martha Spence, Port St. Joe, Fl

FYeah, these people are a complete joke. After an agonizing three years to get our house built, they came out and said they used THOUSANDS of dollars of more materials than they did. Like, 100k or materials. We were out there with them almost every day watching and helping their “crew”, so we know that was bogus. We went to court with them and everything. They’re liars and crooks. Do NOT do business with them
