AArie was easy going and a naturally gentle dog handler. She brought a form which she filled out as we progressed through the appointment. She showed us (with our dog) and talked about a lot of ideas to help with all of the issues she had or could foresee with our dog. She was full of so many suggestions and pointers. Then she wrote that information down and handed the paper to us so that we could remember all of the fine points and products that were recommended. We felt like we had a plan when she left our home.

AMatthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

AWent absolutely great, again. This is a wonderful place that treats my shy girl well. I always emphasize - GO SLOW. She comes home tired and not traumatized. They also use my food without charging extra. She's very shy of people but last time, I observed her just hanging around with the other dogs ogling the person running the play yard. A guy walked in to get my dog and she came right up to him, he put on her leash, she went with him. It's a long drive from my house but it is worth it. They have a web cam on the play yard.

AI live in walking distance and just pop in anytime my dog needs his nails trimmed and they always take care of me. Michele is great with all the animals. She in the past would give my beloved cat Brady a lion cut and she always looked amazing. Highly recommend.

FRio grande groomers landed our sweet dog Wally in the hospital after a “grooming session”. Cost us $100+ due to puncture wounds, ear hair ripped out (and bleeding) poor Wally was vomiting in pain and so THEY CHARGED US EXTRA $. Wouldn’t give a refund when I presented the vet bill. Horrible. This dog has NEVER had an issue at any groomer. The owner laughed at us when I called and suggested we “get a lawyer”. What? I asked him if he vetted his groomers for history of animal violence / abuse...he hung up on me. We didn’t care about the refund. We care that a creepy groomer is abusing animals so they can charge extra if the dog vomits in pain.

FIf I could put a thousand minuses after the F I would. IT WAS THE WORSE experience the past weekend. We took out dog in to be looked at. We got there at 3 pm and by the time we got back it was closer to 4 the time... the time the hospital closes. "Dr". Brown, if you could call her that, came in and was the most unprofessional, unemotional vet I have EVER been around. She looked into my dogs ears and at her gums and diagnosed her with a condition and stated if my dog did not get a blood transfusion she would die. She stated I HAVE TO go to a particular vet emergency room because they do not do that procedure there. She did not listen to my dog's heart, lungs or did any further examination. She did blood work and stated that it would take 45 minutes for the result. Approximately 10 minutes later she came back with one result and stated if my dog did not get a blood transfusion she would die and I had to go directly there. My son asked the prognosis and she looked at him and said "don't worry she will be dead within a year, if that". I asked if we could try anything else since she quoted the procedure would cost $2500 to $3500. She stated "no this is the only thing that could be done". She also stated she did not talk to the doctor at the other hospital but the receptionist and the receptionist agreed with the diagnosis this "vet" gave my dog. We went to the hospital, which she stated was an "emergency" and after 10 minutes watching the "receptionist" sweep in the waiting area, she got out information and had us sit and wait some more.... and after a long wait we decided take my dog home and push liquids and take her to our vet on Monday. By Sunday afternoon our dog was getting more energy and was doing better. By the time we took her to our vet, on Monday, she was doing a lot better, mind you no blood transfusion. When talking to our vet, she stated there were other procedures that could have been done before a blood transfusion and the diagnosis this so called vet gave my dog was not correct. My son asked, "Dr" Brown if we could try anything else and she stated "no, she has to have a blood transfusion or she will die". Also, this vet stated my dog had a heart murmur and NEVER LISTENED TO HER HEART....never took out a stethoscope at ALL... My vet listened to my dog's heart, twice and guess what....NO HEART MURMUR!!!! I lost hours of work, sleep and my son's and my own emotional state was a wreck after experiencing this "vet". If I went through with what she was telling me to do, I may have had my dog put down due to the extreme cost or she may have died from the procedure itself!!! THANK GOD I listened to my inner voice and left. God only knows how many people she has done this to, how many dogs have died because of this person. I am not stopping with this review. Just in case she is reading this, my dog is doing SO MUCH BETTER with the medicine she was given by our vet, who really cares for her patients and their owners. I will be pursuing much more because the fact that my dog could be dead, right now, because of her is ridiculous and she should not be practicing!!! Her bed side manner is horrible, she is not passionate about her patients or her owners... I do know she is passionate for making sure she leaves her work on time and not have to stay to late!!! I will sure my story is heard over and over again because this is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

ADOGGIE DOOSI have one dog that I take in to be groomed and 3 that just get nails done. My Yorkie is a little crazy but the groomers at Doggie Doos always treat him great and give him a top notch haircut. Before we found Doggie Doos we tried a couple different places and no one was able to deal with his personality. They are also very good with my 3 older dogs that just need nails done. I recommend them to all my friends.- Will Y.

ACORRALES KENNEL LLCExceptional from start to finish. These folks are true animal lovers, kind human beings and reasonably priced. I first contacted them to set the appointment and worked to get the paperwork completed. Upon arrival I was given a tour of the amazingly clean facility. They played with the dogs during the day, fed our one dog his special food, and groomed them upon completion. This is the BEST facility I have ever used for this purpose.- Michelle G.

ACORRALES KENNEL LLCHaving moved from Santa Fe and having found a trusting and great groomer there, we were concerned about finding a replacement in this area. We were really concerned due to the fact we used a groomer in the past who apparently abused the dogs she groomed. (This we discovered after the fact.) We had noticed our dog hated to go to the groomer. Upon picking up our dog from Corrales Kennels, this was not the case. Our dog acted happy and seemed to love all of the personnel there. Cindy did a fantastic job and gave our dog the best cut he has ever had.- Tom S.

ACORRALES KENNEL LLCEven though our schnauzer's coat was completely out of control they were able to do a wonderful job of grooming her. we will definitely be using them from now on- Stephen H.

ACORRALES KENNEL LLCWe love the groomer, she is so good with our dog. She takes such care and time. Our dog is fluffy and she has long hair, and most places will just shave her down, but here she takes her time to get all the knots out. Our dog doesn't mind all the pulling and tugging. They are a little more expensive, but they are worth the money. We will continue to take her there.- Trent C.

ACORRALES KENNEL LLCI've been taking my dogs to Corrales Kennels for 3 years. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. One of my dogs was quite ill for a few months, and they took special care to help him eat and be comfortable when I had to board him. They do a great job grooming, as well. They're very courteous - they return phone calls, answer any questions thoroughly, and always call me when my dog is ready to be picked up after grooming. I love them and will continue to use them for boarding and grooming!- Elizabeth G.
