  • I guess they contract it out. It was good. I can't complain. I don't think they had the most up to date heating and air conditioning products. They don't do it themselves. They have contractors. The pricing was good. I went to another store first and the pricing at Lowe's for everything I was getting was a better price. I would use them again but I would make sure the unit I was getting was a current model. It was good service, just make sure the contractors don't try to pawn off their inventory on you. They were professional. They didn't stop the whole time they were installing it. They didn't even take a break. The area was clean.

  • I had an ignitor go out on a Burner on a Gas range.  I paid for the 5 Year warranty.  When the service man arrived he switched ignitors from the back burner to the front burner.  In doing so he broke one of the ignitors and said he would return with in a week.  So 3 weeks later we call service and are call is answered by GABE.  Gabe tells us it was abuse, DUE to pets or corrosion.  They do not cover Pets on stoves or rust from corrosion.  I do not have pets in the house.. Well I do have fish in an aquarium, but keep them off the stove and in a aquarium.  Then I ask if part of my warranty will be refunded as the does not cover anything it seems.  I was advised I was out of luck.. But they will mail me a copy of my warranty.  I have bought several washers, dryers and stoves from them before.  But seems they only want to sell the warranty now and not repair the appliances.  I will go to a big box mart in the future as I know what to expect from them in advance

  • TOPS!  Great delivery - on time, called first!
    Sales person knows the product and went over all specs.
    Delivery men had no trouble getting the large appliance in my home. No damages to item or home.
    I will use them again. This store is always doing their best to service the customer.  I love this store because they are just that good!

  • When I called the store they the person I spoke with was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful.  They were to my house the next day and quickly diagnosed the problem with the fridge.  Instead of replacing the entire compressor $800 parts and labor they were able to just replace the relay $135 parts and labor.  The service technician was knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to instruct my wife and I on what to look out for with regards to ensuring that the repair was working properly.  I would highly recommend Al's if you are in the Bernalillo area and need to have any appliance from any brand repaired or serviced.

  • I thought that they were very good. They carry high quality products. So, of course they are going to be a lot more expensive. They were a little high, but for the quality in any brand. If you go to another company you are going to pay a fraction, but you are not going to get the same quality.

  • The sales rep., Catherine, was very nice and helpful.  She worked very hard by making many telephone calls to get us a rebate from Maytag, which unfortunately, at the time, it wasn't being offered to Builders Source. 

    Additionally, Daniel and Ray, delivered the appliances.  They were both very kind and helpful. They took their time making sure not to damage our wooden floors.  Daniel did a beautiful job with the dryer vent and balanced both dryer and washer making sure they would not vibrate.

    I really appreciate the type of service this company has given us. They are very customer service oriented.

    By the way, this is the second time we have purchased from this company.  The first time was three years ago when we purchased all our kitchen appliances from them.

  • Our dishwasher machine failed and so we needed to replace it. We wanted to use Sears to replace it, since they are supposed to have the ability to deliver it to our home, install the new dishwasher and remove the old one. Therefore I called them up, talked with a representative and working with him, I purchased a new dishwasher and paid the extra to have it delivered, installed and the old dishwasher removed. I placed the call, and paid for the dishwasher, delivery, installation and removal of the old dishwasher, on November 17. The Sears representative I spoke with said that the new dishwasher would arrive on November 19. However, here it is November 27, and we still have no new dishwasher. We have called Sears, multiple times, because they did not call us to let us know what the delay was. First they said it would be within a few days of November 19. When it didn't arrive we called again, waiting on the phone to talk with someone for over 30 minutes. The last we hear is that it is supposed to come November 30, but frankly given their 2 previous broken promises, I have serious doubts that we'll get it by November 30. Basically, the situation is this: Sears has our money and we've got nothing to show for it. I am sure that we'll get our new dishwasher at some point, but it will be a lot later than the Sears representative told me it would be back on November 17. If they couldn't deliver as promised by November 19, then they should have said so back when I placed the order on the 17th.
