  • I really like the doctor. I feel she has good experience and tells you like it is. I really like her.
I also really like her ultrasound person that works our of her office. She tells you what she says, but of course says you need to talk to the doctor about the results. I like having an idea of what is going on while I wait to talk to the doctor!
The office is still getting things together, I have had appointment issues. The communication is not always great. But they are pleasant and I'm hoping they keep improving.

  • Their office called my wife on the day of the appointment, informing her that the nurse who would be seeing her had left. There was no explanation or reason given, simply that the nurse had left. The receptionist then asked if my wife would be willing to reschedule to 8am today, Jan 16, 2014. My wife confirmed the rescheduled appt for 8am. We showed up at 8am, and the office was closed. My wife called, and the answering service told her that the office doesn't open until 9am. So they rescheduled her appt when the office is closed. Very unprofessional.

  • Dr. Bridge takes time to answer questions. You do not feel rushed out off appointment. She takes time to read patent chart before meeting. She asked specific questions which she will not know without doing so. I highly recommend her.

  • With my first child I had a cesereran delivery. With my second pregnancy I went to Dr. Martinez hoping she could help me have a VBAC with my second child. I believe it is the policy at her office that the first visit is with the nurse practitioner. I can't recall her name but the NP was great. She took her time, was knowledgable, had a good sense of humor and bedside manor. But then my next two or three appointments were also with the nurse rather than Dr. Martinez which began to worry me because I was getting within a month of my due date and had yet to meet the doctor.
The office environment is a bit strange for a pregnant lady because it is also a 'Medi Spa.' There were signs for botox, facial peels, and medical weight loss. Nothing really geared for the OB patient. There were even special diet snacks for sale in the exam room. At one appointment I waited for 1.5 hours in the exam room because Dr. Martinez had to go to a delivery and I seriously considered eating the low-cal snacks. While the nurses were great, the front desk and scheduling people were less than friendly. Their attitudes were generally not helpful and when they made a billing error there was no hubris. Also, even 2 years after seeing Dr. Martinez I periodically get phone calls with pre-recorded messages from her advertising new beauty treatments available at her office. It is a strange combination to have the obstetrics and medi-spa overlap and I found it uncomfortable.
That said, when I did meet with Dr. Martinez she supportive of my desire to have a VBAC and talked with me a lot about it. Her demeanor was friendly and professional. She was knowledgable and supportive . I felt comfortable with her being the doctor to deliver my baby. When I did go into labor Dr. Martinez came to my hospital room 3 times. She was encouraging and explained things well. I felt like she listened my husband, my doula and I and didn't try to push any agenda we were not comfortable with. When it came time to deliver she was a bit late to arrive because she couldn't find her car keys. But everything ended up perfectly with a healthy baby and a VBAC. So for that I am very grateful to Dr. Martinez.

  • She is very competent but her bedside manner is terrible. Her availability is average. She just moved to another office. Her punctuality is pretty good.

  • I saw her just one time. She was very thorough. She took into consideration everything that she needed to do.

  • Overall, the visit with the Dr. went well. The services available could be improved. The office staff could be replaced. Dr. Bridge is great!!
