Roy's men arrived on time, removed old trim, replaced the trim with a plastic trim that would not be affected by the rain, and added metal flashing over the top of the door frame to prevent further damage. I was completely satisfied and after three more heavy rains, I've experienced no further problems.

He was very detailed, thorough, and consulted with me throughout the process. His workers were punctual, conscientious, and respectful of my living space and presence. No dust was created in the house because he installed a plastic barrier. The job took longer than expected, and required a couple of work order changes, which were professionally handled and receipted.

When the hail storm hit, I immediately phoned several repair companies and my insurance company.  I had seven gaping holes in my roof, golf-ball sized hail stones and debris all over the floors, and rain coming through.  Most of the companies never bothered to come inspect the damage.  Several never bothered to return my voice messages.
Lee Rawson not only returned my call, he came out to my house, climbed up on the roof where I was strapping tarp over the holes using bungee cords, and he even gave me his personal collection of bungee cords to help with the emergency patch work. Of course that won my business right away.
It did take a while to get replacement skylights for my house.  (Many thousands of homes were damaged in this storm.)  And some of my 2 ft by 4 ft skylights turned out to be slightly different in size, so that required another parts order and a second trip to finish my job.  But they stuck with their original cost estimate and were highly professional throughout the ordeal. I would definitely recommend Rawson Builders Supply for any skylight repairs you may need.

The owner, Pat, came out to meet with us several times as we developed our design and specs providing very helpful input. In addition he dropped by once or twice a week to monitor progress. Construction began a couple weeks later than planned due to surprises in their prior job. During the delay we were kept fully informed and were provided a new start date. Edgar was project lead and was there every day working, directing others as needed and touching base with us to resolve questions as needed. He kept us well informed. Mark, the supervisor worked several jobs but directly handled the plumbing, external venting as well as stepping in to monitor and help resolve design issues. The team had solid technical skills, worked hard to get the project done on schedule, kept the site picked up and were very pleasant to work with,

I got to the house, the day before after traveling from my new home in Phoenix.  I noticed that the alarm was not functioning.  On the day that I was to meet Roy at the house, I asked if he could fix the alarm electrical outlet which had failed and drained the alarm backup battery.  He had an electrician at the house within an hour who fixed the problem by replacing the outlet and reset a GFCI.
The same day, he had subcontracted to a drywall contractor, the pool ceiling which was finished over a period of four days.  One of Roy's employee's did paint, stucco and the covering of the fans with wire to keep the birds from nesting in the large openings.
I can't say enough about how easy it is to work with Roy.  if something can be done by someone else in a more timely manner, he will tell you that.
I am trying to get him to move to Phoenix, but of course he has a long history in New Mexico.
Long story short, I completed the sale of my house in a timely manner and Roy was a huge help during this process.

Roy Brown and his employees and subs did an excellent job in all areas.  They were prompt by being there when they said they would.  The cleaned up after their work and were very courteous and professional.  We intend to continue using them for other projects we have planned.

    Rawson Builders Supply
It is now 2 years later and the doors frames are rotting, The windows always have red dust on the sills and thus air coming in, and the screens were poorly hung with a 1 inch gap at the top. I had them come out and check the windows twice but was told it they were any tighter I would not be able to open them. I have lived in Fairbanks Alaska where the temperature gets to 60 below and I never had trouble having air tight windows that opened easily in the summer. Rawson was never able to fix the ones I purchases. I am now going to have to replace the doors again before I can sell this house. Very unhappy with the workmanship. Also they lost there admin person and it took them over a year to bill me and get it right.

The first door ordered was not the right size but a week later, the right size came in and he immediately replaced it. He also replaced the molding and fixed the cracked stucco around the molding. It looks great! I also wanted a ceiling fan installed and he suggested an electrician who came in a timely manner and charged very little for the job. I called the electrician back later to replace a ceiling fan in another room.

The new interior doors were installed perfectly. One exterior door frame was rebuilt and the door re-hung. This work was way better than the original work and was accomplished even though the electricity went out in the area. Roy's crew of carpenters were considerate, cleaned up well and were concerned to do the best job they could. Nice to have workers who take pride in their work.
The painters were less careful than the carpenters. They did their job but were not as careful or concerned with clean-up or being neat around the job site.
    Overall, very satisfied with work.

    ABGD Specialties
We had contracted  Gordon and Tim (proprietors)for a small but important job two years ago.  Last year, we asked them to take a look at an exterior wall, and they arrived immediately, asked if we had any paint, and in 10 minutes patched the wall, painted it, and took off, refusing pay for their time and labor.  We were so happy with the quality of their past  work and their professionalism that we called them back this year for a fairly large job which enabled us to get our home both functionally and aesthetically pleasing to us.  They were always punctual,  considerate, innovative,  neat and orderly,  and inspired such confidence that we asked them to purchase almost every item we were having replaced.  They understood our personal taste, suggesting and providing paint and other accent colors; enabling us to sit back and relax.   They are fairly priced considering the high quality of their work, the fact that they supplied all materials,  and  the fact that they stand by their work and are always accessible .  They take great pride in all they do,  and we recommend ABGD Specialties without reservation.
