Great product but in the end the company let us down.
In the spring of this year we met with a consultant from Renewal by Anderson of Albuquerque and purchased replacement windows and a new back patio door. All seemed to be going well as we started the process.
Our salesman was not too pushy and we felt comfortable with him. There were a few missed calls but we would (eventually) get a call back if we had questions while awaiting the install date.
The gentleman who came to take measurements was punctual and quick.
Our installation happened in late May and the two installers were GREAT! The were also punctual as well as clean, swift and paid attention to detail. They did a wonderful job installing our windows and doors. I was very satisfied with their work ethic.
The trouble came after everything was said and done. We never heard from this company again. Everything would have been all A's on this review if they would have stood up to their many claims of wonderful customer service as well as caring about the customer. The main issue was when we purchased the windows and door with the sales rep. we were told we would see paperwork (fully executed contract, copy of lifetime warranty, etc.) via email within 3 days. After not seeing it we called our sales rep. who then said it would be with the measurement guy and we would get it then. The measurement guy said we would get it when they installed the windows. The installers had a pamphlet they gave to us but not what we were expecting.
We called our sales guy a few weeks later thinking maybe they had to have time to finalize the price after installation, we received no call back. We had to find out the final price through the bank! We called the office and no one was available to help us. We were told to leave a message and they will get "right back to us", we never received a call back. We finally sent in the Renewal by Anderson survey we had been holding on to (after giving them chances to get in touch with us and correct the situation before we filled out the survey) knocking them for not communicating with us at all after installation. We even checked the box at the end that said "Check here if you would like a Customer Service Rep. to contact you.", do you think we have received a call from them? NO.
For all we know we actually aren't supposed to receive anything and someone misspoke. It really was a simple question throughout this whole thing: Where is the paperwork? All they needed to do was call us back and answer the question and it would have been golden but instead it felt like we were simply dismissed after they collected their money and were done with our project. We invested a lot of money here and couldn't even get a call back , very frustrating and marred the whole experience.

    SUN GLASS
Last month, we had bathroom remodel done by Winn's home improvement. They made the slant of the shower so the water ran out of the shower rather than in. Obviously, we did not use the shower, until Sun Glass installed the shower door. It was at that point that we discovered the problem. Winn came back to fix the tile problem, and ignored my request to have Sun Glass remove the door before they did their work. When Winn's were done with the tile, the door was totally uneven, and scraped on the tile, and would not open. Sun Glass called Mr. Winn and discussed the situation, and Mr. Winn's answer was that Sun Glass should have checked the tile before they installed the door! So, Sun Glass was left to fix the mess that the contractor caused in the first place. They had to replace tile and completely re install the shower door. It is beautiful now. I never had to call and ask if/when they were coming. They were prompt and pleasant despite being put in a bad position.

    SUN GLASS

I had a shower door that had been damaged and needed replaced.  Sun Glass was at my house the day after I called.  While there, they realized that my shower insert had been glued to the wall, and was completely coming apart.  It was apparent that this was a hazard so at that point I decided to completely redo my shower.  Nate Broten came to my home (again, next day service) and within 2 days I had an estimate.  I had decided that I also wanted a custom storage cabinet made, and he had it matched and custom built within two weeks.  I was able to meet with Nate and pick out everything I wanted for my new tile shower.  After approximately 2 weeks, the entire shower was completed.  I immediately feel in love with my shower.  The only down side was that it was not MY master bath, rather my daughters shower.  I was very impressed with the professionalism of the employees, but most of all I was impressed with the quality of work that they did.  The price was appropriate for what I had asked for and the response time was exceptional.

I would use Sun Glass for any remodeling project that I have and In fact I have used them twice since this time because of their professionalism and the quality of work that they provide.

They were very professional. Once I contacted them, they promptly came to measure and go over what we needed. They then ordered the products. The end result in both cases was just like we wanted.

First, it took forever for someone to call me back to come to my house and get an estimate. I even called numerous times with no returned call. When the provider called back he came to the house and checked out the back door. He was very friendly and really took a good look. He said that he would be calling the next day with the estimate, I did not hear from him, I had to call and get the information. I continued to call to get the appointment set up and recieved no calls back. After the Owner saw this review he called quickly to remedy the situation. I was happy to hear from him and his wanting to get this job done. I hope that the job is able to get done soon and I can change this rating. I think that lack of communication on their part was the frustrating part. As soon as the job is complete and communication is improved I would gladly fix this rating.

The door was finally replaced the beginning of December! It looks great and works even better. The worker who put it in was very friendly and did a great job. We are still waiting on the screen to the door though.
We are still waiting to hear about the gas fireplace and an estimate.
Overall, we were happy with the end result, the door is in and looks great. But the amount of time it took to finally get this job complete was a drawback.

Last fall, probably in September or October, I called Renewal by Andersen of Albuquerque to see if they do installations in Farmington.  (This was after calling several contractors in town to install a Home Depot or Lowe's door,  who either weren't available for several weeks, or didn't want to bother with such a small job).   Andersen said, yes, they come up here at least once a month.  I asked to have them give me estimates on replacing 4 sliding glass doors next time they're in the area, which the lady I spoke with thought would be in 2-3 weeks.  Today, Jan. 29, I received a call saying they would be up in this area "soon" (first call I've had since the initial call over 3 months ago) and wanted to know what I needed at what addresses.  After explaining that I have 3 homes (I already replaced the glass door on one of them), all about 7-8 years old, and that they each needed a new sliding glass door, she started back-peddling, reminding me their windows are all "custom made" and most people would not want to invest that kind of money in a rental.   She seemed disappointed that I was not replacing all the windows in all the homes.  When I asked that she contact the tenant directly for scheduling the estimate, she said they don't like to get in between the tenant and the landlord.  (I have all my service people work directly with the tenant so they can set up a time convenient to the two of them - it doesn't involve me).  She then said she would have to go talk to her boss to see if they could do this.  She or her boss was to call me right back - no one ever called me back.  I have no idea what their doors cost, but they could have had the courtesy to give me some ballpark figures to see if it was totally out of my price range.  I maintain very nice rental properties and don't hesitate to spend money to see they stay that way.  Too many business owners misjudge individuals as to what they think a customer can afford.  That's not their job to decide!  The first of the four I finally had Sun Glass do here in Farmington.  They will get all my work in the future as another glass company here promised to go out the afternoon I called him, and I never heard from him again, either!  It amazes me that these companies can stay in business with such poor customer service!  It must be nice to be able to be so independent!

    SUN GLASS
Sun Glass installed a sliding glass door and 3 new windows in a town home for me. After having called another glass company who promised to go out that afternoon and measure but never called me back, Sun Glass responded quickly and did a great job.
Robert was great in his measurements and the installers did a fantastic job. They also installed 2 windows for me in another home, and I found the same great service. I have several other windows and doors to replace, and you can bet Sun Glass will do every one of them!

    Overhead Door of Four Corners
A counter balance spring broke on my garage door on 6/29/12.  I called Overhead Door of Four Corners and asked for a repair and estimate.  I was provided a ballpark estimate  and offered a a choice of four hour service windows.  The technician arrived one hour into the four hour window I'd chosen, introduced himself and started to work.  He was very professional, courteous and very competent.  He was finished in about an hour and I was quite impressed with the quality of the work.  The bill was reasonably close to the "ballpark estimate", I'd received over the phone.  I would definitely recommend OHD of Four Corners without hesitation.
