    So the cable that releases my hood in the wife's car broke off in my hand.  I may have been able to do it but had no way to open the darn hood.  I called Don and he had me in and out the same day.  I am glad he done it because it actually opens easier than when the car was new and it was a pretty involved job.  You need to rip apart a lot of things to route the cable.

    Let me tell you what.  Don is one h*** of a stand up guy.  So apparently this part breaks a lot on the Jeep Liberty.  Jeep being the greedy scam artists that they are told Don that they don't sell that part and I needed a new steering column...  Well he and I both found that they are liars but he could not get the part they don't sell it OEM.  I went online and bought the part and gave it to him. Most shops would never do this because they only use arts that they get.  Not Don though!  He put in the part and get me going for 1/4 of the dealership.  Actually less than that because the dealer wanted to do another diagnostic even though Don already found the problem.  If you want an honest job performed then go see Don.  You won't be sorry!

    My 2000 Saturn had developed a problem with occasionally not starting; the starter would crank the engine, but the engien would not start.  Waiting from 10 to 40 minutes, the car would then start.  With my blessing, they kept it for a few days, trying to reproduce the problem.  When it finally would not start, they could then connect it to their instrumentation and begin troubleshooting.  I was prepared to have them spend hours trying to determine the problem, since the car is heavily computerized; they were able to determine that the problem was with the crankshaft position sensor within a half-hour, and ordered the part.  When the part arrived the next day, they got it installed quickly then during the remainder of the day tried starting the car every hour or so to see if the problem would recur.  When I picked up the car that afternoon, it was with confidence that tehy had solved the problem.  

    This is not my first experience with Sweetland's - I return because they have earned my trust through quality work, fair pricing, and overall pleasing experiences.

    First I bought my Prius here AND the experience was a good one; second: I do my periodic maintenance here and I've never had a problem with the service provided; Third: my car was hit and I had my body work done here and I was given a rose when I picked up my car additionally they included a minor paint job at cost; Fourth; I was told ahead of time that the tires would be on sale in the month of May; Fifth: I was offered to have a wheel alinement check and they saved me an additional $100.00. So needless to say I am very satisfied with their service and professionalism

    I've twice had Treadworks find problems with my vehicle that slipped by my regular mechanic - one of which was a very dangerous issue. In both cases, I had just gone in for tires, but they caught the other problems. Needless to say, I've changed my regular mechanic, and I've made Treadworks my regular tire shop.

    I will definitely go back with any new mechanical issues. Excellent customer service and communication. I called ahead to see if they worked on my model of vehicle but you wouldn't have to do that - I think they are capable of taking care of most issues. They were honest, fast, and didn't overcharge for labor.

As a single woman who has been taken advantage of more than once when getting automotive work done, I appreciate being able to talk to the manager, Debbie, and know what she's telling me is the cheapest and best advice I'll get anywhere around. They do quality work, and they do it fast.

    I read all the reviews for car repair shops before calling out to a few and getting estimates. They were close by and had a great quote so I went with them. Went in, the inspection took about ten minutes and they gave me the estimate of the cost and then offered to take me somewhere while I waited. They said it was going to take an hour, more or less, and then in an hours time, they called and said it was done. I went back in was handed the invoice, which was for the exact amount I was quoted and paid. Hands were shook (which is huge since I am female) and thanks were given by both parties.
    They say they're honest and they mean it. I never felt pressured at any point to do anything other than what I requested done to the car. They were friendly and knew what they were about. I am definitely going to return here in the future and I encourage others to do the same.

    This place has some rip-off thief of a mechanic working here. Several times my boyfriend has dropped off our 1995 Camry here and at first there were no problems. Suddenly, the car started having multiple issues- from the spark plugs to the radiator. After checking the radiator today, my boyfriend realized whoever worked on the car had STOLEN our radiator and replaced with a cracked one! Even worse, after checking out the vehicle, he noticed the spark plugs he purchased months ago had been switched out for old ones, resulting in our last repair and several other items have been replaced with cracked or broken parts. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! We live in the desert southwest and it gets quite hot here. Not only that, but you can easily be away from the towns and break down with no help for miles. While I realize this is an old car, we have made several self-repairs on the vehicle with parts purchased out of pocket. The vehicle has run quite well until the last few months. 
    Unfortunately, we can't prove that these parts were switched for broken/cracked ones as the receipts for the parts are gone and no pictures of the original parts. Go here at your own risk. What a horrible way to do business and that mechanic who tried to ruin the car should be ashamed of himself.

    Al's Service
    I've used Al's service on two occasions. The first one I describe what was going on, he diagnosed the sound my VW turbo was making and based on what I said fixed it in short order. That service get's an A grade. The second time I went to Al's with some strange brake sounds. He misdiagnosed the sound but found issues with the front brakes that needed to be fixed. The sound remained so he kept it for two more days and found the source of one clunking sound and what he thought was causing a squeaking sound. He fixed the clunk but I'm going to have to take it back for another round of work to figure out why one of the other sounds isn't going away.

    Update: Replace the other rear rotor and the squeak went away. Did this service for only the cost of a new part. No labor charges. Yeah! Very pleased with the completed work.
