They have been terrific with me setting up appointments. They open at 7:30, I called them with a problem. They squeezed me in and didn't have to wait long. I fell in January and wasn't getting better. They found that I had a cracked kneecap. Now I am getting better. They are wanting to expand their offices. They take care of a lot of medicare patients. So we are hoping they can expand.

    Albuquerque Hearing Associates
There are no doctors there; it's hearing aids supply. The location is difficult, because I'm in Edgewood and they are way out on the west side of Albuquerque, which is a forty-mile drive for me. They are amazing people to work with. They bend over backwards to help us. They are very good and very professional. They are a great company.

    Shoden, Dr. Rebecca J
I used her services twenty five years ago. I went to her a couple of times after for smears. She was in practice with another doctor. As the years went by, she started her own practice. She had lovely office staff and they were very courteous. She was very good at every aspect. She was thorough and gentle at examinations. She was prompt unless there was an emergency. This was rare but that is to be expected.

    Cooper MD, Dr. Mary Alice
She is an M.D. plus she is a Homeopathic doctor. She is very knowledgeable. She has been able to help with things that other doctors have not been able too. She has a small office and she has a receptionist that is really nice. She is not a big institution.

    Weiss, Dr. Stephen P.
I have been seeing Dr. Weiss since 2008. For the previous 5 years I'd been suffering from 6-8 sinus infections per year which usually required 4 weeks of Levaquin 750 to clear up. I'd had CT scans which ruled out sinus disease, and once the IgA deficiency was discovered, the medical advice I received was and quot;stay away from sick people and wear a mask in public.and quot; Not only was this unacceptable, I was concerned about the amounts and strengths of antibiotics I was having to take. A friend referred Dr. Weiss and so I went to see him. It was a very long wait for my first appointment (8 weeks), but once I started working with him I was so glad. He was able to cure my sinus infections with homeopathy, and since then we've been working on keeping me well, as well as other health issues as they have popped up. I like that as an MD he can order medical tests that my insurance will pay for. He is very thorough and conscientious, and he has been willing to squeeze me in or talk on the phone for crisis appointments. He has also been willing to listen to me and follow up when I discover alternatives through my own research that he has not heard of. Although I can cure the sinus infections with homeopathy, I haven't been able to stay well using it, so we've been exploring Chinese Medicine and other supplements together and this fall/winter season has been so much better than before. I understand why he doesn't take insurance, but I always get a form to submit to my insurance for reimbursement (once I meet their ridiculously high deductible). Dr. Weiss is expensive, but I am so much healthier, so it's worth it to me.

    Hearmart Hearing Aids
The staff at Hearmart Hearing Aids is excellent and I am very pleased with the treatment that I received and the hearing aids that I bought there. Their prices seem to be better than some of other establishments in Albuquerque.

    Dr. Gregg Valenzuela,
Started seeing Dr. Valenzuela back in Nov.
2012. I was having some stomach issues. He ran several blood test and
two gallbladder test. Supposedly the gallbladder was working at only 15%
or so and looked fatty. I have yet to see the documentation of the
test. He then said, and quot;Your gallbladder is not working, you should take it
out.and quot; He referred me to a surgeon. They took my gallbladder out a month
later. When the surgeon took it out. He said it looked fine and the
biopsy was normal.Since then I have not been felling better and actually
have felt worse. About two weeks ago a fellow Dr. performed anendo on
me. He found I had reflux and a small hiatal hernia. Today I went in to
Dr. Valenzuela and started to discuss my concerns. He basically told me
that, and quot;I told you that 10% of gallbladder surgeries don't resolve the
problem.and quot; He also seemed bugged when I started asking my list of
questions. He then tried to perform his evaluation while I was sitting
in a chair asking questions. No bedside manner and it was obvious he
didn't care one bit. He then said if you want more information go the
Mayo Clinic website. Very unprofessional !. He should have literature
available. I left and called immediately to change Doctors.

    Dr. Julianne Nipp, CFNP
Dr. McLeod practises at the McLeod Medical Center. They have a slew of doctors, and there is a young woman that I go to that I really like, named Dr. Julie Nipp. They are very efficient, and they do their own blood testing and everything right there, so I do not have to go in to Albuquerque for it. Edgewood is a very rural area, like farm country, and the big thing is nobody wants to drive into Albuquerque, which is twenty miles away. The office is brand new. The office environment is very nice.

    McLeod, Dr. Orrin K.
I have not used him in a while because our insurance has changed. But several of my family members currently use him. He is expanding his medical centers. It is important for where we live. He is fairly young, maybe about 50. You can plan on him being your doctor for a long time. That is an A+ for me. For instance, my sister has moles and he can take them off in his office. He can do it right then and you don't have to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. He has the training to do this. He is very friendly and interested. You can talk to him and tell him what is going on. He listens. His staff is very friendly and interact well with him. I will continue to see him in the future.
