    Don is always very friendly, informative, honest and helpful. For this visit in particular Don (and I) only thought the car was in need of an oil change but at the last minute the wife also wanted a spin balance and rotation to be done. The shop was quite busy that day but Don kindly sorted everything out in a very timely manner!

    He gave me an estimate. He found out that I needed another part and it came out to be less than the estimate. He is awesome. I recommend him to all of my co-workers. The car was done when he said it would be done. My car was clean. There is an excellent crew that works there. The service is always the same -- great. Even when he has the opportunity to pad the check, he doesn't.

    I bought a new car and wanted the front windows tinted to match the manufacturer's shade in the rest of the car. I dropped by for an estimate and then made an appointment. They're not the cheapest in town (nor the most expensive), but they tinted the windows of my 1998 car and they still look great, so I wanted to stick with quality. At my appointment time, they were ready for me and got my car done faster than promised. The color was spot on and the install was flawless. I'm very happy with their work.

    We bought my wife's first car there and they took care of us with trade in and the price of the car. It was an Impreza and needed to be towed in. So the towing company towed the car incorrectly and it needed a new transmission. Tom the service manager help to try and prevent me from being responsible for the damage. We just traded in that car and because we we're repeat customers they made sure the deal went right. They gave us 3000 over kbb excellent trade and still came down on the price to get the payment where I wanted it. This will be the only place I will go to if we stick with the Subaru brand and if we switch I will try to go to a Garcia dealership.

    We have used this shop for over a year on 4 different vehicles. They fixed my dad's engine while he was on vacation visiting us. They were very kind and understanding and helpful when my dad was in a stressful situation. They won MAJOR points with me on how they handled that situation! They were able to diagnose a water pump issue that another mechanic had told me was just the car "aging". They diagnosed and fixed a power steering fluid issue that nobody else seemed to understand. They gave me a great referral when we needed a bumper fixed. They have done oil changes and told me what could wait if money was tight. They even offered to show me how to replace the air filter so I could save money! They also helped us arrange towing and donation of a car that the engine had died...and actually seemed to grieve with us that we had to replace that car. They gave us their opinion on what cars seem to last longest in our rural area. Great explanations and communication!

    I went in for an oil change. They took more than an hour, Told me my tires were so bad that they didn't feel safe with me driving on them And had checked on how much new tires would cost. Told me I had a flat tire and HAD to fix it. I asked how much to repair the flat and they said $30. I said don't bother I will go around the corner to Tony's they will do it for $11 (we get a lot of flat tires on our rural roads). They didn't finish the oil change until after Tony's had closed so they charged me $30 for the flat tire fix. I told them I buy my tires from peerless in town and they still had a warrantee on them so would replace them there. They didn't do half the stuff on the oil change check list like changing the air filter....so I ended up having to pay regular jiffy lube to replace that. Basically I got 1/2 an oil change for free and was charged $30 for a flat fix that was a slow leak. When I went to peerless they said that flat fix was the worst they'd seen! Won't be back!

    I took my mother's 1990 Buick to another mechanic because the headlights kept going off at night. After 3 months, the car still wasn't fixed. I took it to Under Car Auto. He took off the floor panel next to the brake and found an electrical pin was bent. He straightened that out. That solved the problem. He saved me a lot of money. When I took my Hyundai in for an oil change, he told me that the front struts and rear shocks were leaking oil. He wanted to fix them. I told him I wanted to wait. I looked at my paperwork when I got home and saw that I had these parts replaced by Pep Boys 10 months before. The parts were still under warranty. So Pep Boys had to fix it. The guy at Under Car Auto was truthful with me and he could have charged me for more work, but he didn't. I am going to use Under Car again for oil changes on my older cars.

    I can't say enough how please I am for the water pump replacement on my 2008 Tundra.  I've been taking my truck here since I bought it new.  I had a quote for the same work at the dealership, but they were $300 more than Jay's.  I did have to leave my vehicle all day, but all the work was done without a hitch.  Besides saving money, I know Jay Walton stands behind their work with a 24 month/24K miles warranty on parts and labor.  All the service counter folks (even on the collision side) were happy to see me at their buiness and truly had interest in me and my Tundra.  I can't recommend them enough to you or you friends.  Thanks to all at Jay Walton Automotive.

    SPEAR'S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE
    To my relief, they saw me right away. They fixed the problem but then found other problems with the car. Even though I thought these problems had been addressed by my regular servicer, I let them proceed. (When I checked with the regular provider, they had taken care of at least one issue a few months earlier.) I believe I was overcharged for the service they provided.
