    Horizon Auto Glass & Tint
Service agent was very knowledgeable and helpful.  He was able to show me the products I was interested on vehicles at the business.  Work was quickly completed and I have had no problems.

    Horizon Auto Glass & Tint
Windshield replacement was quick and easily scheduled. However, upon closer inspection at home, I noticed that there were long, deep gouges in the paint on both A-pillars next to the edge of the windshield. The car was almost brand new and I knew they were not there before, so I figured someone scraped the paint when he was cutting the seal from under the old windshield.
I took it back to Horizon and happened to catch Rod, the shop owner, and showed him the damage. He was extremely courteous and apologetic and did not contest my claim that the scratches were done by his employee (it was pretty obvious). He then asked if some touch-up paint would fix the problem for me. I told him that that really wasn't acceptable, that I wanted it like it was when I brought it into the shop. He was once again very courteous and told me that that would be just fine, and that if I would please just bring it to an auto body shop, he'll see that everything is taken care of, no questions asked. He recommended TM's Collision on Wisconsin, as they do all his body/paint work when needed. He also told me that he wasn't sure what work it will take to get those scratches out (and it may require re-removal of the windshield), but whatever the case, they'll pay for all of it.
I took it to TM and they got it taken care of. Car looks the same as it did before I had the windshield replaced (but with a new windshield, of course). The paint damage was a hassle, but Horizon (and Rod especially) did all they could to make it right and I am perfectly satisfied with their service.
I almost took this car to another place that would have replaced the windshield for about $100 less than Horizon. But I suspected that the other place was one of these quick-change windshield shops, and they would have probably given me crap about getting those scratches fixed, or maybe refused to do it at all. The level of service at Horizon is, in my opinion, unmatched and well worth the extra hundred bucks. They've made a lifelong customer.

    SPEAR'S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE
This is a very good family run auto repair/maintenance shop in Sandia Park. And, honest which is increasingly hard to find.
They have been taking care of our small snow plow truck for years - since we bought it in 2006. Never recommended anything that it didn't need to stay reliable. This is a nearly 20 year-old vehicle that has seen nothing but rough service it's entire life - we are it's third owners and we bought it out of Colorado. With no maintenance history and have taken it to Spears from day-one.
So, I dispute the previous post about them trying to fix things that are unnecessary. There is plenty on this little truck that could be found to fix. They just aim at keeping it reliable for us. And have done a remarkable job of doing that for many years now.
Also should mention that these folks are light-truck diesel engine specialists. We have two good friends that rely on them for good quality and fairly priced work on their diesels. They are very happy with the work for years after suffering with bad dealer experiences.

These folks are awesome! They are the ones that offered to install a screen to keep the mice from destroying wires, lines etc in the engine. They are very good at what they do. We take all of our vehicles to them.

    Jay Walton Automotive
This is a very good, full service repair shop for Albuquerque.  They keep their appointments, the work is done well by the mechanics, the service advisor is quite ready to answer any and all questions.
Got so fed up with the local Ford dealers' "quick lane" service.  This is at least as fast and better.  Planning to continue to use Jay Walton's  in the future for everything that comes up.  We have four Ford trucks and got totally tired of poor local dealer service.
Recommend this shop for mechanical work.  And, expect their body shop is at least as good.  Pricing is fine too.

    Allen's Automotive Inc
I called for an appointment. They gave me a variety of days where I could drop off truck for quick turnaround.

I dropped off truck. They dropped me off at a local Starbucks to wait out the service. They sourced the trickle charger, installed it, tested it, and then picked me up in the space of about 2 hours.

In the case of the trickle charger they walked me through the manual and also provided the box in case I ever have issues with the trickle charger.

    Advantage Automotive
In all the years we've been using Advantage, we have never had any quibbles with their work or professionalism.  You could literally eat off the floor in their shop and their work ethic is top notch.  Would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Santa Fe Mazda-Volvo
I needed some scheduled maintenance and a rattle in the door fixed. They did a really good job, they did it professionally and quickly. The car was as good as new when they were through with it. I and my family use this place regularly, and we're all very happy.

    cedar crest tire
Tire rotation went well, but they couldn't figure out how to get the rubber hangers on the muffler. This is something I normally do in my driveway with a screwdriver and a hydraulic jack, so I was baffled that they couldn't do this simple task with the car up in the air. Kevin said his tire crew can't do mechanical work and that all his mechanics had gone home. I came home and crawled under my car and did the work in about 5 minutes. The tire service is excellent, but I have had trouble with the mechanics before.

    JEFF'S GASOLINE ALLEY
I have been taking my Japanese cars to Jeff's for several years now, and in my opinion they are terrific. They NEVER do any unneeded work. They use either OEM parts or BETTER, if they are available. They are helpful over the phone and in giving advice about what work is a good idea, and what is best left undone. They prefer to work with new parts purchased from them, but will work with used if you bring them in-but no guarantee. I have also purchased parts from them and did the work myself to save money and they were always very helpful.
