    Champion Windows of Albuquerque LLC
I was very impressed with Mike's crew. They worked quickly and fast. The new patio roof is wonderful. No more leaks like through the previous roof. This will prevent leaks that used to destroy the ceilings and walls of the bedrooms under this upper patio. Recent heavy rainstorm and NO LEAKS! Really enjoy the doors and windows, Beautiful correct installation. Also I got many estimates for this job from various patio roof and sun-room installers. Champion was by far the most cost effective with the best quality materials. It was a pleasure working with Tonya, Mike, and other managers to get this project successfully completed. More party space in our house.

    E & P CONSTRUCTION
The man that came to the house was Victory Reyes. (Work done in 2017.) He said he was the owner of the business and provided a business contractors number from the State of New Mexico for E & P Construction--License # 92810--[*** Link removed ***] (I'm not sure who Paul is mentioned in earlier comments. I never met him. Victor did show me some photos of the kitchen remodel and patio addition. The kitchen and patio looked nice.) Throughout the project I asked Victor for proof of a contractor's license. He said he would get it to me. Several months after he was gone, and I had to nag him for copies of permits which never came. I told him I was going to the state regulations department to file a complaint. He sent me a copy of the license he was using (see above link to NM Regs & Lic.). It had Paul's name on it as the owner. I never got copies of permits and no permits were applied for with the city. I'm going to resolve this through legal council to get the permit problems fixed. It's important when I go to sell the house to have the permits for the work. Victor's crew did several projects to the house. A covered wraparound patio/arbor addition to the house was done. A problem I had with the covered patio was a few months after completion it leaked from where it connected to the house and the water seeped into the under-hang and caused the wood paneling on the ceiling to pull away from the structure (see photo below). Also, I did not know this at the time, but he used what is called second grade untreated wood on the patio. It has a lot of scuff marks, gouges, in it; and the wood is starting to separate from itself ( see photo below). They also used 1/8" interior wall paneling on the underside of the patio, when I asked for 1/2" ply wood to be installed and which was not properly supported. His crew came out and fixed the leaks and repaired the ceiling. The repairs to the ceiling did not work. When the next rain showers came the leak came back and damaged the ceiling again. On one side of the house the down spouts were not replaced properly or not at all. When I brought it to his attention he said it was okay. I told him it wasn't "okay" and needed to be fixed properly. The water will leave marks on the house and discolor the stucco. He insisted that it would not stain the stucco and refused to correct it. Water did stain the stucco and runs down the window sashing (see photo below). I'll need to get it fixed by someone else to prevent any more damage to the stucco/house. The bathroom repairs were minimal. When they redid the plumbing in the guest bathroom the stub-out for the faucet was a little too short. They went ahead and attached the faucet handle anyway. Now it's loose and can't be tightened more securely. The master bathroom had a instant hot water heater installed for the shower and sink. They plumbing had to be rerouted from the guest bathroom to accommodate the master bathroom. Shutoff valves were not installed (what you would find under a sink). The heater lasted only eight months. Victor said he would warranty the water heater. After four months waiting and asking when it would be repaired he told me his subcontractor was unable to get the job done do to health reason. He does not have a back-up contractor to help when things go awry. Electrical work: upgraded to 200 circuit box from 100 circuit box. Things went for the most part okay. The normal delays when working with the City of ABQ and waiting for PNM inspections. I do have a few wall socks not working. Victor said he would take care of it. But again after four months of waiting to get it repaired it was not going to happen. Painting ironwork on the house was done with a latex paint. It's chipping and rusting. I asked for the metal to be primed and painted with rust resistant metal paint. It didn't happen. The glass french doors into the den were to be oak, he came in with pine doors. I asked what happened I paid for oak. He insisted that was not what we had agreed to. The stain looks awful, streaked. He was creating situations during the remodel to make side money (additional money not part of the contract). I often heard, "you know what we should have done...", in hopes I would agree to the change at an additional charge. He knew the floor company would not haul away the old carpet if it was stacked in the driveway. He hauled the carpet outside (without my consent), when the flooring company refused to take it, he was ready to charge a "small" fee to dispose of the carpet. During the painting of the interior walls we agreed to have the cabinet doors painted and vent covers painted. He comes back and said he did not quote this in the bid and was not going to do it. (The cabinet doors and vents were quoted in the bid, yet it was not painted.) A similar incident happened with the landscaping/irrigation. Things were coming up broken that weren't broken before. I asked him not to have anyone at the job sight that did not need to be there. Strangers were showing-up, I had no idea who they were or their purpose for being there. When I confront Victor about it, he said they are helping to clean-up things. Victor's construction crew were the ones cleaning the sight. These people weren't doing much. Victor finally ****** me off with his contractor games. That is when I knew it was time to get things finished that we had agreed to in the contract and get him out of my house. Then things became more difficult with him with regards to the job; spoke unkind words to me in Spanish (I'm a ****** that knows Spanish). He wanted to remodel the kitchen and a guest bathroom. I told him I wasn't going to do anymore remodeling at this time. The things that happened may sound minor to some people. But to me it's the numerous times Victor refused to do things we agreed to that added up to make a trying experience (home remodeling) turn into something bad and unpleasant.

    Hunter Builders LLC
Hi all, I would like to take the time to write a review for this wonderful company, Hunter Builders, LLC! David, whom is the owner is a wonder individual. Extremely attentive to the plans and details I had in mind for this project. He helped bring my vision to life. He built a gazebo from ground up. He went out of his way to talk to authorities to have this protect approved (when he didnt have to!) He made sure I was going to get what i dreamt of! His craftsmanship is amazingly gorgeous! Communication skills are extremely comprehensive and he is very thorough with you throughout the process of the build. He cleaned up immaculately leaving no debris and a polished finish. I truly cannot believe what I received for the price I paid. Fabulous prices, they cannot be beat. I couldnt believe the outcome of the finished product. It is BEAUTIFUL! I am impressed and would highly recommend for any and every construction need!

New Castle Custom Homes - Mitchell Construction
Work was never done and we ended up hiring a different contractor to complete the job. Then Mitchell issued us a full refund check that came back NSF. To this day they have never paid back the money they owe us.

    Prosper1 floors
Saw it in my friends garage and decided i would get it done. Wonderful. Garage seems like it is part of the house. It was so good I immediately resurfaced the driveway. It is something that I notice every day. Really glad I did it. My wife now wants to use Prosper1 to resurface the back patio and swimming pool next spring. Much, much nicer than epoxy coating.

New Castle Custom Homes - Mitchell Construction
Most of the upgrade work was satisfactorily completed with a few odds and ends which were ignored. This included failure to install cabinets in the baths and washroom, finishing trim in baths, and touch-up painting. These jobs were paid in advance. The hot tub project was paid separately, in advance, but never started. Approximately 5 -6 weeks after the check was issued nothing had been done so the project was cancelled. A refund check was written, which immediately bounced. We have not been compensated yet (1 year +). Ultimately we filed suit in Metro Court, which we won, but have yet to be paid. My recommendation is to not do business with this company ever.

Very well. From the estimate to the finished product. Professionalism, courtesy, communication and performance was excellent. Punctuality at its best, on time every time. A day and a 1/2 to complete the project. First day ran into a minor problem which was solved quickly and work day cut a tad short due to lightning and possibility of afternoon thunder showers. Second day went without a hitch. All workers: Frank, Ruben,Chris and Omar were all courteous and informative about what was being done and all appeared to take great care in what they were doing; measuring, digging, placement and even asking my opinion on certain parts. Overall -- I am totally pleased with the finished product.

    Sandia Sunrooms and Windows
We had all the windows in our home replaced through Sandia Sunrooms & Windows last year. Immediately, I noticed a big difference in the temperature of the room, and no more cold drafts! Additionally, our A/C has been able to maintain the programmed temperature throughout this very hot summer, and our utility bills have still decreased by more than $100 per month. Don did a great job installing the windows, and we couldn't be happier with the entire process. I would highly recommend Sandia Sunrooms & Windows for any home improvement project you are considering.

I didn't like them. They came out and gave us a really hard sell. We told them we would think about it. Then they said they would give us phone numbers of other people they did stucco for to see how good it was and they never did. They never gave us those numbers or addresses.

    The price was too high.
