    JC&E
Do not do business with this company. They are rude and dishonest and their work is slipshod and barely passes inspections. When we bought our house, the package unit on the roof (Airtemp), had been installed about a year and a half ago by JC&E. The day of the walk-through, the unit failed, and the seller had to replace it, delaying our closing. When the unit was replaced by JC&E on July 3, 2019, a warranty for the unit was issued to me, the buyer, and the unit was registered in my name. I got the warranty paperwork from my real estate agent, and then called JC&E and that is when the trouble began. When I called the contact number on the warranty for JC&E to introduce myself, someone answered the phone saying, "Hello," and then proceeded to ask me if I was a sales person. I said no, and introduced myself and let him know that the Airtemp unit was registered in my name. We closed on the house July 5, 2019. We moved in on July 11. I contacted JC&E because the air conditioner did not seem to be cooling the house very effectively and we could smell sewer gas. "Julien," who fielded the call, assured me that he would meet me at the house the next morning at 9 am. He never materialized, so I called him back, and he said that they were busy but that he would call me. I called him again later that week, but he never got back with me. Then, last night, July 30, at 10:30, I noticed that the air conditioner was not working at all. This air conditioner is three weeks old! and it was installed by JC&E. I called them, thinking I would get an answering machine, but Julien answered with his characteristic "hello." I apologized, saying that I thought I would get a machine to leave a message. He said, "Do you have any idea what time it is?" I said, "Yes, it's 11:30 and my air conditioning isn't working and my house is hot." He said he would call me in the morning. Given his track record for not showing up and not calling back, I called him at 8 am. After apologizing for calling so late, I asked him to please come out and get the unit working, since it is under warranty. He asserted that the warranty was for the previous owner, not me. I said that the unit was registered to me and that I held the warranty. AND THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME. Here's the kicker. The unit is the bottom of the line, an Airtemp manufactured by Nortek. The ductwork that JC&E installed for the return is insufficient to handle the amount of air pulled through the unit, and so the machine has to work extra hard to cool the air and then move it through the house. Further, the ductwork installed by JC&E in one of the bedroom closets is not insulated, so condensation is forming and wetting our oak floors. I called a reputable HVAC company to come out and repair the unit and discovered the shoddy work that JC&E had done and how they had jury-rigged all of the sloppy ductwork to the cheap-o package unit. I also filed a warranty claim with Airtemp who is honoring the warranty for the unit that is, indeed, registered to me. I will be filing a complaint with the Regulation and Licensing Division of the State of New Mexico and filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau.

    Moore Heating and A/C
Women beware!!! Who would have thought that such a women-disdaining/disrespecting company existed in 2019? 1. When I phoned to make an appointment, the person who I talked with simply could not believe that a woman as THE decision maker for her household, insisting that "the others who would make the decision" be present for the appointment. 2. A very young man showed up today for the appointment, and the moment I asked him to put on the booties I had for him, his attitude became unfriendly and after a minute's more discussion, he declared that I could not be a customer (because I would not let him in without the booties).

    TLC Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning
Wonderfully. The installers were thorough, professional, on-time, patient with instruction, and even fixed one or two things outside the scope of the work. I've used TLC for many different kinds of projects in my home, from the very small to replacing all the piping underneath my house and yard so I've experienced their work quality and the quality of their interaction with the customer. They're professional through and through, and I feel confident when I use their services. And their estimators are excellent as well, staying in contact before the job and answering all my questions so that everything works out. Can't say enough good about this company and the quality of their employees and their work.

Daniels Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, LLC
Barney was fantastic!! He explained everything that was wrong with supporting pictures and discussed my options. His recommendation was a new unit as this cooler basically had seen better days. He repaired the unit so it was useable until I finished researching a replacement cooler. I was extremely satisfied!! With Barney's level of customer service, concern for what was best for me, knowledge, & professionalism when he left I felt like I was saying goodbye to a trusted long time friend.

    Axiom Home Services, Inc.
AXIOM left a leak in my AC lineset. They would not take responsibility for the repair. I left multiple messages on their phone for a week requesting warranty work and they never called me back. After persistence I finally got a hold of them and they refused to repair the leak, became rude and avoiding. In the beginning they were nice and friendly but now that they are done I feel they totally abandoned me. They would not listen to any of my problems and took on a totally hands off, "we're done with you" attitude. I do not recommend AXIOM. They are fake and have terrible back end customer support.

    Simmons Plumbing & Heating Co
We have been using Simmons for years. I had tried several other companies and always got poor service or completely ripped off. Very tired of this in Albuquerque! Simmons Plumbing is an above average constant! I trust that they won't overcharge or say one thing and do another. They aren't the most affordable, but they are the best workers and when they give you a quote, even if it's much harder and takes much longer, they honor their quote (redoing our exterior pipes to the city was ****). They are polite and prompt and I'm thrilled we have one company we can trust. Thank you Dean & Co.

AC&R Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing. Inc
I work for a construction cost data company and deal with a lot of contractors in my work. I've also renovated 6 homes and have had a lot of contractor experience there as well. I can truly AC&R are simply the best contractors I have ever worked with. I can be a very hard customer to please and so I got 5 estimates on removing a package unit (AC/Heat) from my backyard and putting a new furnace in my crawl space. One guy who came to estimate the job said "Some jobs you walk away from. I'm running away from this job!" Seriously. I actually had Gabe and Dustin from AC&R to my house twice just to make sure they hadn't missed anything on the original quote. They were extremely professional, courteous and helpful in their suggestions. They weren't the cheapest estimate, but the weren't even close to the highest and they just seemed to be very honest so we hired them. They came back with an installation supervisor the day before the scheduled install and went over everything in detail. Then the best part came - our installers Tony and Benny spent three full days dismantling my old system and installing the new one. They too were very professional, neat, courteous and super nice to my dog. Two electricians also spent half a day here on the third day and all of them stuck around for the startup and testing. The Rheem furnace they installed is working great and is super quiet. I could not be happier. Do not hesitate for a second to call AC&R!

    Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling
I obtained several quotes to replace the drop for my swamp cooler and APH&C was by far the best quote for the scope of work being done. They were quick to get me scheduled, prompt the day of service and everyone I worked with (Josh, Pete & Dominic) were pleasant, personable and willing to answer all of my questions throughout the whole process. They took their time, were thorough and did a great job! I would definitely use them again and definitely recommend their services.

    A&D Heating and Air Conditioning
We are so pleased with Aaron and his team! After getting 8 estimates from various HVAC companies it was very clear A&D Heating and Air Conditioning was the best in terms of value and professionalism. They were the only company we interviewed that contracted the electrical out to a licensed electrical firm and pulled a permit with the city. Aaron, from the beginning, has been very responsive with any questions we had. We highly recommend them! Oh - we love the Ecobee thermostat he installed.

    Air Pro Inc
This was a big project involving replacing two HVAC package units on my roof, new stands, ducting, and new thermostats. It needed to be coordinated with re-roofing the house. So timing was critical and Air Pro needed to get a crane out to remove the existing units, then make two new unit stands and return the next day to install new units and the new stands, all in coordination with the roof work. Air Pro is a wonderful company. Every person that I interacted with from that company was very polite and professional. Jarod, the estimator, stayed with the project for the installation. Lori, at the office found the certificates for the units so we could get the gas company rebates ($300 each!). The two guys who did the actual installation (sorry that I do not have their names) were great. We went with the new Carrier 3 ton 48 VG-B 16 SEER Units. They are variable speed and so quiet! I can't even tell when they come on in the morning!
