APhillips, Dr. Kate L.Kate accessed and treated my neck and back issues. I felt immediate and lasting relief. Kate has a friendly professional manner, and she is dedicated to the art and science of her field. She has genuine interest in the well-being of her patients, and she is committed to Continuing Education. After successfully treating the structural problems I saw her for, I returned for an Evox treatment to address psychological and emotional issues. Evox was an efficient and effective tool to help me through a rough spot in life. I highly recommend Kate Phillips as the Best Chiropractor in ABQ. I highly recommend her Evox sessions for anyone looking to make great strides toward a more peaceful mind and emotional well-being.- Cate C.

APhillips, Dr. Kate L.Very well. I called on a Friday morning requesting to be seen that day or the next and she was able to fit me in. She listened to my issues and created a treatment based on my needs. She also gave some stretches for me to do.- Craig R.

AByrd, Dr. Robert E.Very well. He aligned me and I was fine in about a day. He examined me closely and explained his diagnosis clearly. He did not suck me into any unnecessary x-rays or tests. He also left it totally up to me for any follow up treatment.- DAVE B.

APhillips, Dr. Kate L.Brilliant! After using a poorly configured workstation for six months, I developed pain from my neck that wrapped around my shoulder. Dr Philips correctly diagnosed this as a top rib that was pulled up out of place, and was pressing a nerve. She worked the rib down with various tapping and graston tools (first time I've seen them), and then gave me exercises to help prevent and correct the issue in the future. Even though I was extremely skeptical (never heard of this), she was 100% right. While I didn't feel much relief that day (due to all of the tapping and working of the rib downwards) I felt much improved a day later and especially over the following week. The exercises corrected the mis-alignment when it reoccurred, and over the next few months, the issue and pain was completely resolved.
While it sounds simple, she was the third chiropractor I saw (including the one in the big office and broken digital sign next to her), but only the first to make a correct diagnosis and actually help. The others simply tried to adjust my neck and back and put a tens unit on me. She asked great questions and seemed to have a very knowledgeable and sophisticated medical approach to diagnosing my issue. She was the first to give me exercises to prevent it, and to help correct it when it reoccurs, which have been tremendously effective. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a highly competent, thorough practitioner that thinks outside the box, while at the same time, very medically sound.

BGonstead Family ChiropracticI called the office, asked she who answered if they used drop-table or manual manipulation. She didn't know. Okay, not much cross-training. I wanted to try Gonstead after going to Zandal Carpenter who charges $65 per visit, doesn't take xrays and did not adjust out my back pain on the latest visit. I needed to get adjusted REAL bad.
- Arrived at the very nice offices on Paseo, treated courteously by the "counter woman" (for lack of better term) and Melanie? who is the coordinator who is very professional.
- On a Tuesday after getting the lowdown I was put in a waiting room, when I was in my gown and shorts and slid the laminated number thru the door Dr. Dave (I think, black hair, about 5'8 very PA accent, fast-talker whose picture is on the far left of [*** Link removed ***]
- He did a range of motion exam, said my core wasn't strong (which I knew but back pain makes core work very difficult) took about 12 xrays in poses of straight and forward and back bending then said he wasn't going to adjust me. Excuse me? Yes you are! He wanted me to come back Friday as he had to attend his daughter's surgery then we'd go over the xrays., led me quickly out and instantly there was another patient in the center room.
- So, my adjustment got most of the hitch out, but not all, but it's a new tweak for me so I wasn't that concerned, I've used chiropractic for 23 years. Cost for xrays and visit: $140. Initially it was $240, but after saying my insurance doesn't cover it and I'm a Veteran it was lowered. Works for me.
- Came back on Friday, they went over one of the xrays showing where my L6 was out of alignment with S1. AHEM... L6? Like it was no big deal! 23 years of chiropractors and this was the first time I was shown (not told) that I had a 6th lumbar vice the normal 5. THEN CAME THE BIG SELL: $2700 proposed for adjustments, massage, stim therapy, dry needling and PT. Ok, with no insurance, that was a big **** no. I will go back for adjustments since it's $35; $30 less than Carpenter and they're open consistently.
- BEWARE: Dry needling for trigger point release can lead to pierced organs, miscarrage and the PT's need only 32 hours of training where an DOM (Dr of Oriental Medicine - acupuncturist) needs *3000* hours to be certified.
- RECOMMENDATION: Go there for an adjustment and xrays if you want to see what's going on, but you can get by with a TENS unit, an exercise ball, book or website on yoga/pilates, a heating pad and your significant other learning massage on a table you can get cheap from Craigslist

DGonstead Family ChiropracticFactory work..feels like you're cattle in all these little rooms waiting for the door to open into the big room. No matter what and where your ailment, adjustments are exactly the same. Completely ineffective and they want you to return very frequently.

CGonstead Family ChiropracticBe aware that you will face a selling technique worse than
the most aggressive car salesman at the Paseo office. They try to sell you a
plan which includes more chiropractic visits than you need, dry needling and
physical therapy. After six visits of being continuously harangued about it, I
had enough and quit going. When Dr. Mike Rosenblum was part of the practice,
the waiting room was packed. Now there are barely two or three people there. It
is really sad that they try to force something on you and don?t respect
the patient?s wishes. It makes you feel that it is all about money to them
although they try to disguise it as being concerned about your health.

ACarpenter, Dr. ZandallBest chiropractor i've seen on 3 continents - and i've seen a lot of chiropractors in my life. I was in a pain that kept me awake all night - neck & shoulder pain and even though I was not a patient of Dr. Carpenter, he graciously agreed to see me within 15 minutes of my call. I have seen my fair share of chiropractors in Albuquerque, Europe and even Australia, since I was in a bad car accident some years back, but by far, Dr Carpenter is the best chiropractor I have ever encountered. I will continue seeing him as a chiropractor and also as a physical therapist ( his second specialty).

ACoogan, Dr. KellyThe visit went very well. the Doctor was very good and thorough. She could see and feel where my spine was not aligned. Some heat and a good adjustment and I walked out with less pain. The staff took my insurance information and did everything for me, I just made my co-payment and was on my way. Overall this was a very good visit and everyone was very friendly and professional and I will go back when I need an adjustment again.

AHubbard, Dr. Louis E
I would urge anyone with spinal problems to try this Dr. He works differently from most Chiropractors and its a wonderful experience. The adjustment is mostly by a Laser machine rather than manipulation and feels great. The treatment is supposed to align the spine in the same way that the regular treatments would do. The treatment is followed by a wonderful massage, also, by a handheld massager that resembles a car buffer and makes you feel like a million.
I would especially urge anyone with a recent spinal sublaxation from a fall or accident to try this type of Chiropractic. It could save you from a lifetime of pain and misery.
