    Nicky Black is exactly what you want in a repairman.He is conscientious,methodical and highly competent, not looking to turn a small repair into a major undertaking, but most of all down to Earth and honest.He diagnoses the problem quickly, explains your options and then gets the job done at a reasonable price.I have used him before and will use him again I would not hesitate to recommend him .

    i called the company because my Miele dishwasher didn't start.  The technician spoke to his supervisor by phone to get advice and fixed the machine.  Unfortunately, I left the house before the invoice was written and my husband paid the bill....$325.28 to replace the water pressure switch.
    When I returned home I was amazed to see the bill.  First, of all, I was told on the phone there is an $89 service call charge hat is deducted from the cost of the repair, which I didn't see on the bill.  First I write an email to the company and followed up with another email.  No response.  Then I called the company and was treated very rudely.  I was told that that was the charge and that the service call was included in the total.  I called again to speak to a manager and was told the manager would call me back.  That never happened.
    I am not the type of person to spend my days in negativity, calling and recalling a company with such rudeness and bad customer service, so I am not persisting in this complaint, but believe me, I recommend that others call someone else. Yes, they fixed the dishwater, but the charge was exhorbitant and the customer service was awful.

    Dave called me back, and I told him of my clogged/frozen water line in my fridge. Hesaid that 95% of the time it was frozen and to turn off the refrigerator and defrost the line. That solved the problem and there was no need for a costly service call

    We have called Kevin 6 times for over a week. We told him we both work and asked him if he could come after 6pm during the week. He stated that he would try to swing by. He did not. We then followed up with Kevin asking him if he can come Saturday afternoon. He said he'll try. We then called him Saturday morning asking if he will come in the afternoon. He then hung up on us.
    Clearly he is not professional and as such I can not recommend him. A grade of "F" is appropropriate.

    Both my husband and I work long hours and are not home during the day.  The owner came to our home on a Saturday (day after holiday) to repair.  He was extremely professional and knew within 5 seconds what the issue was.  Took approximately 20 minutes to fix--he said we should not have a problem in the future (or at least for awhile). 
    I am extremely happy with the price and professionalism he displayed.  Hopefully I won't have an appliance issue in the near future, but if I do, I will Call Westwood Appliance again.

    They performed an excellent service. They were on-time and came the day I called. They came back to follow up because of a warning light on my refrigerator. They did not charge for a followup. They were reasonably priced.

    After 3 unsuccessful visits from another repair service to fix my malfunctioning clothes washer I called Westwood Appliance Service on Sat. 8/11/2012. Not only did I get a response to my call but the owner, Kevin, actually came over at 4:30 that afternoon and spent 1 1/2 hours on the job fixing what the other guy couldn't. On a SATURDAY.
    This kind of service, not to mention the competence to repair in one visit what someone else couldn't manage in three should be recognized and applauded. If you're looking for honest and reliable repair service you've found it in Westwood.

    Showed in the time frame agreed to. The tech was professional and highly responsive to questions regarding the repair. He explained how the particular problem was resolved (I thought it was the thermostat and he went through the process on why that was ruled out and, why the motor fan was the actual problem). 

    He even explained the proper way to store items in the frig. in response to my questions.

    There was one extraordinary service item that needs to be mentioned. I also have a dishwasher that had a leaking rinse disposal (had to refill every 3 -5 days). I was strongly considering spending the additional $225+ for this repair. While I was still talking about the problem, the agent (actually the son of the owner) applied a pair of pliers to the rinse dial, and the problem was fixed. End of discussion, no additional cost to me, over $200 saved.

    This was totally unexpected by me and reflects a quality and style of service (always my chief concern) that goes way beyond anything I've experienced before, and can only hope to stumble across.

    I saved over an extra $200 that could have easily been charged to me and, A-1 Appliance has gained an extremely satisfied and loyal client. This company clearly works hard to earn your continued patronage.

    Berco Appliance Service is amazing. Nicky is honest and totally fair. We've used this place for years. He's so good about making long-time family relationships. This appliance store is responsive and quick. He is very good at repairing things rather than telling you to buy his new appliances.
