Hard to find ANYTHING that went wrong on this project! I dealt with Chad from the initial estimate to the final payment and he was exceptional in every way. After giving me some great creative suggestions about the garden and selection of plants, Chad had his crew in/out in a single day. They completely removed a huge maple tree (stump grinded and roots taken out); removed the original grass and replaced it all with some fantastic looking fescue Sod. Another tree was removed on the side of the house and the garden was installed including 8 plants and decorative river rock accents. Very impressive. At 1 point we had 10 guys doing there thing. They were all very hard working and polite (a plus). They took 2 1/2 hour breaks and each knew exactly their role without having to be micromanaged. They worked very well together. I am confident I got the best job possible at a very reasonable price! Highly recommended vendor. (Ask for Chad if you call them).

We've been communicating with Kyle for several weeks about the additional services we wanted done since he first did work for us and we were pleased. He started out pretty responsive and then suddenly he would be extremely delayed. When we finally got in touch with him he gave us a price that we all agreed too and we even purchased the material needed for the job. We set a date and time and now he's a no call/no show. I called, left voicemail, text and left a message on here. Still no response. Honestly if my husband could do this himself we wouldn't even bother. Also, every time we want to get a job done the time he chooses is late in the evening after 5pm. I think that's something he should make his potential clients aware of. Some people prefer to have work done on their homes before a certain time. I don't think we'll use him again not refer him to anyone.

WOW! i was so dissatisfied with my previous "Craigslist" contractors that I decided this time I would only use top-rate professionals. I called 4 from Angieslist and interviewed them all regarding plans and price. Michael from Grass Masters was so enthusiastic and had so many alternative ideas that he made ME excited. He came with drawings, suggestions and price options. The other contractors seemed to just want to sell me what they wanted to do. Michael has excellent ratings on this site and even though he was the highest bidder on the job, I felt confident from the moment I met him that his company was the way to go. (you get what you pay for, right)? As part of his explanation, Michael explained how my current 90 degree walkway (concrete) was not functional and not the way people actually walk (like robots or something). That caught my attention. Then he went on about casual stroll and flaring mouths. I immediately bought into his ideas. His crew of highly experienced professionals took only 2 days to remove my old concrete patio from 50 years ago and transform it into a true work of art! They showed up on time and took a 1 hour lunch and cleaned up every time after they left. Not one time did I look out and see any of the 3-man crew doing nothing. They made circular cuts with doctor like precision. Michael had so much confidence in them that he did not have to be there to supervise (which worried me at first, but I quickly realized these guys know what their doing). On the 2 occasions I did call Michael during the project for general questions, he proved to me he was very much involved and new exactly what was going on during all stages of the project (later he showed me texts and pictures from his workers making sure the plan was followed. Also, most contractors demand $ up front to ensure and guarantee the project. Not Michael. He still has not contacted me for payment and I made no deposits of any kind. A true professional operation! So, needless to say at this point, I am highly satisfied and fully recommending Grass Masters to any and all homeowners seeking a truly professional and so-easy deal. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions. A++ 100% Already thinking about the next job. The good news is I don't have to interview or price shop anymore. This is the company you want! The work was not quite performed to our expectation, but when I reached out to Joe he was very responsive and courteous and willing to have the work completed correctly on the next visit. Since then we have been getting bi-weekly grass cut which is a reasonable amount. I am looking forward to them doing some more extensive lawn work, such as mulching, shrub removal and tree removal.

I called them the Friday before Memorial Day, and they were able come out the same day! Not only were they very responsive, but they did a better job with my lawn than I have ever done. I thought the price was very reasonable as well.

I am a new home buyer, in the process of having the Township come in to do a CO  inspection and one of the pre requisites are that I must submit a recent land survey to them, that's when I decided to use John's Services for the job.
I must say I am very impressed with his work;I was stuck on base so I called him up, explained my situation and he was out the next day taking care of business, on top of that; the survey was completed and the report ready to pick up the same day, now that's OUTSTANDING work.
PS* John supports the military, so thanks for your support. Hoaah!!

Mr Grant came here and gave us an estimate within 30 minutes of calling him for the first time. He and his men did a great job. We and our neighbors were impressed with their professionalism and consideration.

Very pleased with finished project.  They removed all of concrete squares (each about 15" X 15" x 6" thick) and an additional piece of concrete on other side of driveway.  Installed new hardscape along driveway and matched the existing hardscape previously installed for entrance way to front door.  Also re-sodded new walkway next to lawn and patched driveway from previous damage.  Looks so much better and work was completed on time and within budget I had expected.  Would HIGHLY recommend them to others.

They were very high. It would have hit my neighbor's house if I didn't take it down and besides she has little grandchildren, so I just felt the responsibility. They charged the lowest rate I have ever had for this. The truth is, it was good for me because I had a lot of trouble getting the money together, so he took his time doing it.  He took the tree down actually by himself. He is never tired. I couldn't look at the end, it was just too high up for me to even look at him doing it. He did a very good job and cleaned up my lawn when he was done. He had other people helping him when it came to the very top of the tree. He did a wonderful job, he is a wonderful man but he wasn't quite as professional as a team would be. He was very down to earth like one day he had his little grandson with him. He was just very lovey. He allowed me to pay over a 3 month's period which was good for me because I am on social security. My neighbor has a wonderful little garden over there so he tried very hard to get all the things that did fall on her yard. He used ropes and did all the climbing himself, it was amazing. I have never had a team do that. I've had a lot of trees down, I've always had teams like 4 or 5. They come in, they do it, they are done. He doesn't do work that way. I know he had other jobs to do around this area but he had other people do it. He was there early in the morning and worked till late at night and he never stopped. He is very punctual and hardworking. In fact, not only did he do mine but he did all the neighbors around me. They all had trees they wanted done, he had the right price and did them when he was at my place.

There were four people at my house including himself and only 2 of them primarily were working. Not everyone was working. They didnt arrive on time. They arrived at 6:30pm. I am still waiting for the remaining time. They left work unfinished and never came back like they had agreed.

    Update 6/2:

As follow-up, I've attached photos of the  work that Grant's Landscaping left incomplete. Mr. Grant arrived 2.5 hours late and started my lawn at 6:30pm May 5th and left at 8:00pm. There were 4 workers including himself - 2 workers did bulk of work. The other 2 remained close to the truck. The deal offered 1 man/8 hrs or 2 men/ 4 hrs. By my calculation Mr. Grant owes 2.5 hours of 2-man labor.

Pics 1 & 2 show a bed that Mr. Grant stated he would address by "scalping", when he came over to evaluate the job. I informed him the rock mulch was to be moved 1 to 2 feet from the foundation and raked-up out of the grass, to create a border on each side. Mr. Grant agreed it would not be a problem. Once he came over to start the work, he raked a bit and never went back to it.

Pictures 3 & 4show the opposite side of the property where I asked for a bed to be created. Mr. Grant cut-out the area, but never removed the top soil. He treated it with a weed killer and advised me that it would kill everything, including grass.

I was not satisfied with this bed- grass and weeds continued to grow. I contacted Mr. Grant via text messaging and he agreed to return May 14th to complete the work mentioned above and never returned. I have attached a copy of my text conversation with Mr. Grant evidencing his agreement to return.
