AMetropolitan Moving & StorageExcellent. My wife and I moved our family (two kids and one large dog) from DC to Connecticut in the midst of a pandemic this summer. What was anticipated to be a high-stress series of mishaps turned out to be a no-stress smooth ride. Metropolitan was on time on both ends, respectful of the current health norms/protective measures, and did not damage or lose a thing. Seems like a low bar, but these days it's anyone's guess. There’s this online service where it had 5-10 different moving companies contact me back with an estimate and this company came in a couple of hundred bucks lower than everybody else. The movers were fantastic. They were very conscientious and careful with the furniture, and the made the move and everything very smooth. You can trust them they will not break your trust. The team is very organized in how they assessed my furniture and belongings so they knew how to load and unload the boxes and furniture in a way that wouldn't make it difficult for me to unpack especially in such a tight space like my studio apartment. ATikTok MovingThe TikTok Moving sent his crew and they arrived early with smiles and introduced themselves to us. After walking through the 3-story townhouse that we moved from, they started to work. Within a few hours all of our furniture and belongings are in their truck, and after another few hours they are sitting in our new home quite a long distance away. The team is efficient, professional, and great in communication. They treat our houses and staff with respect; nothing was broken during the moving, disassembly and reassembly. CInitially, the move from the starting point went well. The packers ensured that items were protected so as not to break during transport. When we arrived to the new location, the movers began to bring the large items in and then the boxes. Many of the boxes were placed in the wrong rooms and after I told on of the movers, Julio several times he ignored me. One plastic bin was dropped and it cracked but the supervisor told me about and no big deal. After they left, I discovered that the leather headboard to my bed had been punctured and some articles that were in plastic bags were placed on my bed in an obvious attempt to hide the damage to the headboard. The document that I was supposed to sign confirming that everything was received in satisfactory condition after a walk-through was not presented to me. The best is I tipped them for breaking my property.

David, one of the owners, is a real gentleman and a man of his word. David and his crew arrived on time of the day of the move, they worked quickly but diligently and efficiently. I could not believe how quickly they helped us finish packing and carried all items out of our old home and loaded into their truck. Hanna, the lead in customer service, was a real pleasure to deal with. She was patient and very attentive to all of my questions and concerns. ABetter than one could ever expect. Three guys (some movers are only using two right now because of Covid), they were so helpful with some items that weren't completely ready to go, took great care over some cartons with fragile items, were excellent about repositioning the furniture if I changed my mind about where I wanted it. The new apartment involved using an elevator, which was not reserved for the purpose, and with all that, the entire job took only 3 1/2 hours. I was a nervous wreck but once I got there I realized I was in good and patient hands. Also: When I submitted a quote request online, I got a reply phone call within less than two hours. They weren't cheap but boy, you get what you pay for.
