Woodworking reviews in West Long Branch

  • Joe and the crew did a number of jobs for me at two different properties. These included installing a whole house of laminate wood flooring, bathroom updates (tile/cabinet/sink/faucets), kitchen floor tile, installing appliances, and replacing a deck surface. They were always punctual, good to work with, and I was pleased with the outcome of all of the projects. In addition, I felt comfortable leaving them in my house when I wasn’t home.

  • I got refered to Vinny by a co-worker that purchased her first house that needed major renovations. I was in awe when she showed me the before and after pictures so I called him. He met with me at my house showed me samples of everything I wanted and answered all my questions, I had many. We then walked through the house, he explained what would be done day by day. Emailed me the quote the next morning, my husband and I went over it and we hired him. He and his crew were on time every morning, working until about 5pm, they were all very polite and cleaned up everyday before they left. The project was finished on time and it all looks beautiful, everyone that comes in my house loves it. Overall Iam very happy with the results and how stress free it was dealing with Vinny.

  • Our hot water heater broke and flooded our basement which was full of our belongings.  Our sump pump failed.  SHS crew was on the scene in hours pumping out the water.  They installed a new service shut off valve at the water heater and replaced it with a new one. Their crew was efficient and worked through the night to remove our belongings,  wet sheetrock, doors and trim. They used dehumidifiers, dryers, air scrubbers and green certified mold killer to remove all the mold and leave the basement smelling fresh and clean.  A few days later they began the reconstruction and decided to do over our bathroom. SHS leveled our concrete floors and did a beautiful job tiling our whole basement and bath.  They replaced all doors and trim and painted to perfection.  They installed new LED lighting. our basement looks amazing!!!  They replaced our broken sump, built in some closets and even took down a wall to enlarge on of the rooms.  They installed a new switch and some new plugs.  We are very pleased with their work. They came to work every day and I would recommend them to anyone who needs good work done. The price was fair and the service was excellent.

  • I have been very pleased with Edmilson Costa and his employees. First, Edmilson is prompt and courteous. He returns calls and he gives detailed bills on what has been done and how much was spent for materials.
He explains the reasons for his work whenever there is a question.
As far as work ethic, He and his employees work conscientiously, and continuously until the job is done right.
The quality of the work is first-rate.
I will always hire ETC Home Improvement in the future.

  • Mr. Dacosta and his crew did a fantastic job.  My wife and I are very satisfied with his work.  After he completed all work he cleaned up very nicely.  There were no specks of paint on the floor or any surfaces.  Would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.

  • First, as this project followed Hurricane Sandy, it was impossible to find a carpenter that wasn't working on major construction. Paul was willing to take the project and fit the work in-between other major projects.
Second, the project was not straight-forward. One room required was a vaulted tray ceiling requiring trim at both the bottom and the top of the vault. The other room had a vaulted tray on only one side so the design needed to highlight the vault without making the room look lopsided. Paul researched various trim configuration and suggested their application for our rooms. The result was very artistic. Other contractors just shook their heads and said they weren't sure what to do.
Third, the ceiling/vault in on room was not constructed evenly (original construction) and the line between them was not straight (seriously bowed). Paul included re-plastering various points along the ceiling/vault so the trim could be installed evenly. This was not a trivial task and knowing where to adjust was amazing.
Finally, Paul kept us informed throughout the project, was completely honest and easy to work with. The workmanship was suburb and the result terrific.
