  • Excellent service from beginning to end. Ryan is detail oriented and was extremely helpful throughout the process. His experience and expertise speaks for itself. He does outstanding work. Every time we have friends over, they ask who we used for the kitchen renovation and we happily refer everyone we know to Mr. Godley.

  • After years of failed attempts to find a designer who could understand my style I found the company who totally understood my style and was able to design and provide high quality, well constructed, functional and beautiful cabinets for both my bath and kitchen renovations. The cabinets were deliverred on time, within budget and fit the space perfectly. They were a pleasure to deal with and I am planning future renovations. I would highly recommend this company!

  • We had heard that this provider has 2 or 3 different teams that go to different neighborhoods based upon size of homes and quotes differently for those larger homes for same work but did not believe this until we got the quote.  (we have a larger than average home, but were not asking for work that was commensurate with this larger overall other words our small bathroom we wanted to have redone is no bigger than one in much smaller homes so it should cost the same.) We never used them because their quote did indeed seem to be extremely overinflated for what we were asking to have done.

  •  Chas Foley is an excellent craftsman and very knowledgeable in many areas.  He has completed numerous projects for me.  His assistants are extremely trustworthy and competent.  He took care in protecting carpet and furniture during the duration of the project.  I highly recommend Custom Visions, LLC.

  • My experience with Bath Fitters was awesome.  I originally hired them to take care of one bathtub for me but ended up calling them back to do another and a shower.  Everything went very smoothly. The gentleman who did the work was awesome...I wish I could remember his name..I think it might have been James.  I would not hesitate to have them do more baths in my house if I had more!

  • All of the work requested was performed in an extremely professional and competent manner.  In addition to the requested work, they were able to diagnose several emerging issues and give me realistic alternatives. Joe was far and away the best plumber that I have encountered in 40 years of home ownership.  Not only did he perform the work, but he was also able to describe articulately what he had done!  Cathy -who runs the office and maybe the company - handles the ordering and scheduling and really keeps things on track.  This company is such a pleasure to deal with that I've already had them order the parts for the next project (toilet and faucet replacement)

  • Three weeks after time in contract for a renovation, they arrived with wrong materials and argued about the job. I cancelled the job so they did NOT complete renovation. They promised some refund of my deposit of $2650 but I never got the refund.

  • Excellent service provider, excellent experience, and outstanding customer service.
I contacted Bernie at star22home after I dismissed the first contractor I had engaged to complete my master bathroom.  He was very responsive, and we immediately scheduled an appointment for a quote.  Bernie was very professional and offered great design ideas.
Bernie forewarned me that he was 4 weeks out, so it was an unexpected surprise when he informed me that he could do the job earlier than stated as he had an immediate opening in his schedule.
I immediately engaged Bernie and he began work on the following Monday.  He completed the bathroom by Friday.  Each day, Bernie's crew exhibited professionalism, attention to detail, and extreme tidiness.  If I didn't see the crew off at the end of the day, I wouldn't have even known they were there (besides the progression of the bathroom remodel).
In the end, the bathroom came out exactly as expected.  Craftmanship is outstanding.
My best contracting experience to date.  Do not hesitate to engage Star22Home and Bernie.

  • Mr. Skydell came out to look at our bathroom after I bought the coupon for an appointment and 3D renderings. I had had one other firm come out previously to give an estimate and was shocked that it would be costing 20-25k to remodel the worlds tiniest master bathroom. He was prompt, friendly, and had some great ideas that we never really considered.
After the appointment, we received an estimate. Cost of project was $21k, which was right in line with the previous estimate we'd received. We came to realize that we had poor assumptions as to what the remodel would cost in general. Wish it were cheaper, but seemed to be the going rate. Since we were pleased with the ideas and service so far, we decided to use Skydell.
We went to their office a few weeks later and picked out faucet, shower head, sink, cabinetry, and quartz. We also met at a tile store at a different time to pick out all of the tile. Again, Mr. Skydell was on time and was really helpful to us. We didn't expect such design expertise when we chose a contractor. That part of this experience was really a nice surprise.
We got a new toilet in 2 bathrooms, and as stated earlier, the bathroom was basically gutted, and a small closet in an adjoining bathroom was knocked out to make the shower bigger. We lucked out and didn't really have any change orders that were unexpected. The project started and ended on time, to the day. The sub-contractors did a very good and detailed job. They kept the area clean by putting tarps down throughout the house. The project manager handled the project well and communicated when needed. He also accommodated my request to not have the large trash bin out too long since it was near our basketball goal that we use frequently.
All in all we are extremely pleased with our new bathroom and will use Skydell for any future needs, and would suggest Skydell to any family or friends that have a project.

  • We met Andrew from NJ Kitchen and Baths (NJKB) in the early spring of 2012 when we embarked on remodeling two full and one half baths before we moved into a new home.  During that time, we interviewed 6 contractors for the job.  The remodels were simple ? no major plumbing changes, minor electrical improvements, and one sub-floor removal.
The interview process with Andrew was by far the best of the six we met with ? he spent the most time with us and gave us the most ideas for how to remodel the bathrooms.   We felt a sense of comfort and trust with Andrew when we first met him.  He is very confident, but easy going. Needless to say, we went with Andrew and his team.
We signed on with Andrew after a brief contract negotiation.  Andrew provided us with a plan and timeline for the construction.  He was very clear upfront with the permit process and how he would run the job.  He provided us with a recommend list of suppliers for tile, stone and fixtures, but didn?t push any of his people on us.
We began demolition soon after the permits were approved.  At the same time, we were remodeling other areas of the home and were not living there yet.  We had other contractors in and out of the house and Andrew and his team worked around all of them without any problems.
The project was completed on time and we were very happy with all of the work.  Andrew followed up after we moved in and ensured that any minor items were fixed to our satisfaction.  There was never a question of whether something was right or wrong ? the customer was always right.
In the early spring of 2014, we began thinking about a major renovation to the only remaining original bathroom in the house.  We followed a very similar process as we did in 2012; we interviewed 6 contractors, 5 new ones and Andrew and his team.
This project was much larger in scope as it required a reconfiguration of the entire bathroom ? the toilet was moved 15 feet, the shower was moved 10 feet, vanities were moved 7 feet, windows were moved, walls were removed, walls were added, etc.  But we only had basic ideas for how to utilize the existing awkward space, so we left it up to the 6 bidding contractors to submit ideas and then we would refine them.
Andrew and his team showed up with an architect and by far blew all the 5 other plans out of the water.  Andrew was serious ? he knew that this not a simple replacing fixtures remodel. We quickly knew that Andrew and his team was the right crew for the job.
Once we signed on, Andrew ensured that the same crew that worked on our home in 2012 would work on our home in 2014.  This gave us a great level of comfort ? we knew the team, we knew their work and we felt that we could trust them.  This time we were living in the home and trust was important.
The process began in a very similar way as it did in 2012.  Andrew quickly applied for permits and provided us with an accurate timeline for the construction.  Before demo began, Andrew?s team sealed off the entire work area ? they did an excellent job.  Demo began and within a day, the entire space was down to the studs.  All of the debris was placed into a dumpster and at the end of each the team cleaned up and vacuumed the work space and areas of the home that were outside of the work space.
During the construction, Andrew was on site many days and we would consult on various design ideas and changes.  He took every one of our comments and incorporated whatever changes we felt we wanted. Additionally, Andrew made recommendations for improving various aspects of the project as we progressed.
Andrew is very responsive to emails and phone calls, and getting a hold of him was never a problem.  We always knew who would be there and when we should expect them.  There were never days that we were left in the dark about what was happening.   His billing and payment schedules were fair and well communicated up front.  We never felt like we were being taken advantage of.
Finally, the most important aspect: the quality of his work is outstanding.  His team did an excellent job. We would not change a thing and we are a demanding client.   Andrew finished the project on time and on budget (except for the add-ons that we requested).  There were never any surprises that cost us more money.
Without reservation, I would highly recommend using Andrew and NJKB for your next bathroom or kitchen remodel.  You will not be disappointed, I promise.
