    A little tough to get outside work completed this year because of the erratic weather, but once he got here work was done quickly and so far looks great. Chris always returned my calls or texts, and gave the best price out of all the companies I called. He was honest about what needed replacing and how he would go about it. I would certainly call him again for future Gutter repair or replacement.

    Before finding them, my husband and I were nervous about replacing our roof. Other roofers weren't showing up, and the contractors we spoke to didn't impress us. These guys came out the next day and answered all the questions. We picked out the roof and applied for financing after they gave us a great discount for putting a sign in the yard. Responsiveness is definitely this company's strength. Every email was responsed instantly and they kept us up to date until install day. Mike and his crew arrived and removed our old roof, installed a new roof, and put new gutters on in about 6-7 hours. I couldn't believe how fast they completed it even the neighbors were impressed. These guys weren't the cheapest but if you are looking for an honest company that will do the job right, they will take care of you.

    He did such a fantastic/perfect job, we hired him to also finish our basement, paint the interior of our home, install and new roof and gutters and remodel our bathrooms. All of the work still looks brand new after over 10 years! He also has great taste for recommending just the right colors and other visual effects. Ralph's work is meticulous; he is hardworking and very trustworthy. His prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend him and I am available for a reference.

     We are extremely pleased with the work that was done.  The shutters were difficult because they needed to match the 30 year old shutters that were on the rest of the house. Jeff ordered unfinished shutters and had paint mixed to match the color.  They turned out perfect! Their employees knew what they were doing and completed the work in a timely manner.  They also cleaned up the work areas work (both inside and outside the house) before they left

    We have used J.Cwanger many times in the past.  They had replaced our roof, gutters, downspouts and soffits many years ago.  We also have them clean our gutters every year.

    We have never been disappointed with their work and highly recommend this company.

    When they showed up to clean the gutters they asked if I had any questions or concerns.  I asked them to check that the gutter on the back of the house was properly attached. They indicated that one was properly attached but the one on the right side of the garage was coming off. They fixed that for me for no extra charge.  After cleaning the gutters thoroughly they cleaned up after themselves.  They did a great job.

    Two people came and it took about one or two days.  They left the area clean and did a good job.  I liked the fact that they were professional. They did a great job. They did what they where suppose to do.

    The job: 
    -The initial consultation was very professional Joe was punctual and knowledgeable regarding the roof and solutions to fix the roof. The initial meeting was about 45 minutes to discuss the work needed, inspect the roof, and scope out the job including pricing and material preferences. I also gave a timeline of when I wanted the job completed. 
    - I contacted Universal a week later to get the definitive timeline for the job as well as to followup to see when work was to begin. I believe they may have had a cancelation as the contracts that came the day of the job informed me that they had just been called to come to my house. I was not upset by this as it did not require any input on my end, but I was fortunate to be home at they arrived. 
    My overall experience with Universal was positive.  They completed the work as required with minimal followup or discussion required. The workers were friendly and professional. The reason i chose Universal is their transparent and consultative way of dealing with customers. The only reason I was able to write so much in the description of the work was because it was written for me.  I was able to ask questions and follow each phase of the project using the "Scope of Work" section of the contract as a guide. 
    After the job on my own home, I used Universal on a rental home that I own in the area. As expected I received the same service and the job was completed without issue. Universal is a great roofing company with a dedicated staff.

    Dealing with this company is so frustrating.  They have great people but communication and follow up are huge problems for them.
    In July 2013, we had several different companies prepare estimates for our porch roof replacement.  All of them had different ideas about how the work should be performed and what it entailed.  We went with Tortorice because Keith, the sales representative, was quite thorough, reasonable, and was the only estimator who noticed another area of the porch roof needing repair.  Time passed and calls to the company revealed the rep had been ill, so we accepted this explanation for delays in a detailed estimate.  So many calls went unreturned, but  finally, Keith made another house call in September and included the gutters and chimney under the project.  He suggested we get the contract in so supplies could be ordered ahead of time. Some medical problems on our end interfered with our schedule, but the contract was signed and mailed by the first week of October.  Two more calls in late November, and finally the work was scheduled for a sunny November day.  The workers arrived on time and replaced the damaged roof and skylight, cleaned up fairly well, and left at noon without so much as a goodbye.  The gutters and chimney??  Tortorice customer service didn't seem to know why they didn't complete the work and at first told me someone else would be coming  in the afternoon.  Nope.  A week later, we received a phone call from Joe, the project manager, asking if Tortorice could get a check.  Nope, not till this work is completed. Within days, a sub contractor came and fixed the gutters.  And last week the chimney repair was completed, and company paid.  I completed their survey on customer satisfaction, indicating that I was not satisfied with several things about our experience.  No followup by Tortorice was forthcoming. 
    UPDATE:  Keith phoned Friday, aware of the survey we submitted.  He is coming early next week to address the issues we have with the finished work.  He is confident they can make it right, and we feel better knowing they care about customer satisfaction.

    Update:  John arrived right after Christmas, on the coldest day of the year, to do finish work on our porch.  He had to replace trim work and the vinyl wrap on the roof line that they had previously installed..  We tried to get him to come inside and warm up, but he explained he was dressed for the weather.  John should be the front man for the company, and they should let the poor decision makers go.  Now we are happy with the porch.

    We decided to go with Cambridge Exteriors for our roof replacement. The sales part was good, John was thorough and patient, explained the process without being too pushy. We chose them based on their description of services, availability of materials and a gut feeling they were the best for us for this job.
    What was supposed to be a two-day job immediately became an 11-day job, after half of their crew didn't show up, and they forgot to order the correct gutters/downspouts and gutter covers. They failed to show up on the day they were to install the gutters, and didn't bother to call us at all. They also failed to flash and seal the skylights properly, which resulted in leaks inside the house after the first storm passed through.
    More than two weeks after finishing, they still have not returned to clean up all of the debris and sweep for nails. They also damaged our exterior lights, which they promised to fix - however the project manager is not returning our calls.
    Overall, we are very disappointed. We selected Cambridge precisely they gave us the impression they took care of their customers and did quality work.

    From the moment I contacted Ed after reading his reviews I knew it would be a good expereince. His estimate was the most thorough, and he and his team were consistently prompt, professional and patient, explaining the process and what to expect. We had our whole roof, capping/soffitts/fascia all replaced, and his team worked quickly, with excellent attention to detail, and cleaned up after themselves.  We even added on to the original work because we knew we could trust Ed.  I have since asked him for other contractor recommendations, and have been pleased with these referrals as well.  I wouldn't hestitate to recommend Sierra Construction to others and certainly expect to use him for our other needs in the future.
