    Magnolia Home Remodeling Group
Very well. An excellent job. Vice Fiore was not the low bidder but seemed to understand what I was looking for. He reviewed all aspects of the job with me -- budget, schedule, responsibilities, materials, exclusions . Magnolia started the job as agreed and finished pretty much on time and on budget. It was a pleasure working with Vic and his team, and the end result is terrific, even after the passage of some time. If I had one thing to change, it would be to add to the layers of protection for the rest of the house, always tricky in an old house with lots of plaster.

They are the best GC I have ever worked with. Their prices are competitive. They are very nice to work with, completely trust worthy, and have great ideas to fit any budget. I highly recommend them and will without a doubt use them again in the future.

Great. Although I got 2 other excellent proposals (also Angie's List providers), Magnolia's best suited my requirements for the work and the cost. Vic met with me for over an hour the first time, and he was entirely realistic all along the way about the schedule and costs. He was extremely responsive, keeping touch by phone and email several times a week. His foreman and carpenter, Mike and Joe, were skilled and attentive during the entire 8-week schedule. Vic accommodated several small changes without impacting the price at all. There were 2 change orders to the job that did impact cost -- one was a new steam low profile radiator necessitated by cabinet door swing, the other was a wall with doorway in the basement which I added to the project to segregate the basement mechanical/service area from the living space. The kitchen was gutted to the studs, insulated, with expanded floor area, a new ceiling support beam, new sheetrock, new floors, plumbing, lighting, cabinets, crown molding, granite counter-tops, and appliances. The basement bathroom was created from scratch in a former storage area and features a tiled, semi-frameless shower. Although the floor plate is fairly small, it doesn't really seem so. We are extremely pleased with the result and with the integrity and effort put in by Vic and his crew.

    QTW Remodeling (Quality Tile Work)
It was too expensive for us to follow through with the project we wanted done. They did exactly what the deal stated, but typically this kind of service contractors will do for free. One technician came out for the service and was very nice. The only thing I did not like is that he wrote the estimate all inclusive, but I asked for it to be written up with different options and pricings. He pretty much just gave us a total instead of 3 different options. It also took quite a while to get the proposal back, but I had no problem scheduling the deal. Cnaccac

    Today's Home LLC
He worked very clean every time. He would clean after everyday. He was very flexible. He provided some suggestions that were very helpful. He brought someone else in who was very personable and easy to work with. The paint was getting spotty on the ceiling but he went above and beyond to fix it, he put many coats on it.

Steve did a very good job, and cleaned up after the days work.  He works by himself.  The job took a little longer than expected due to the fact he was comitted to other jobs in between and the panels had to be special ordered.

    American Home Remodeling Inc
It started with me interviewing and briefing over 15 contractors on exactly what I needed done, but more importantly - my expectations and my attention to detail. American Home Remodeling was # 11 on the list (purely coincidental) and I knew IMMEDIATELY - they were the firm I was most comfortable with. First, they knowledge that the salesman brought to the table was like no other. He knew an exceptional amount of information about everything. As compared to the first 10 who tried to "hard sell" me with price discounts. Vic clearly understood the direction I was moving in and what impressed me the most was - he had OUTSTANDING IDEAS that made me even more excited about the job. There was instant credibility. Vic listened to everything I wanted to do and within 24 hours had a detailed estimate for me. Even where I had concern, Vic walked me through and worked with me where necessary. What I really appreciated was Vic connecting the cost:value. I knew I would get an EXCELLENT job with little to no aggravation. Next was Vic committing to a date to start. Vic's crew was there the date promised and EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS from that point forward. To top it all off, making my head as clear as could be, Vic checked on the jobs RELIGIOUSLY and if you can believe this - Vic was CALLING ME with updates on progress, etc. WHAT CONTRACTOR CALLS THE CUSTOMER??? American Home Remodeling is a step above the rest and once again - they come with the HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS. As a side note, I have had NUMEROUS projects done by American Home over the past 7 years. Every project is EXACTLY the same EXPERIENCE. Simply FLAWLESS.

    Douglas Home Improvements
Douglas and his crew were very professional. They replaced a small, leaky window with a much larger one, which necessitated the building of a header. Even though the house itself is 90 years old, the window is so well situated that it looks like it is original. In the basement, they reinforced some overhead floor joists that had been damaged. To do this, they needed to reroute several complex electrical systems (ie cable, electrical box, various wires that I don't know anything about). In the end, everything worked out wonderfully. I am about to call to see if they are available for some more jobs.
