I don't know what went wrong. Based on the reviews here and Les's prices, I had good hopes. But we had to revoke our contract with Les based on the work he had done up to that point, and we had already paid $1500, which we allowed him to keep. First, the demo was very messy, which isn't itself a problem, but they didn't warn me, and I had to ask them to put a tarp over my sink in the kitchen, as debris was falling everywhere due to the lack of a kitchen ceiling. Les had a Russian friend and a Mexican day worker come in to do the demo. The Russian barely spoke any English, so it was difficult interacting with him. I speak Spanish, so I could speak to the Mexican, and he indicated to me that he was not being paid enough for the amount of work there was. Les just sat in his truck outside our house the whole time, even leaving for a while. The next day our plumber came to install the bathtub. Les was supposed to have everything ready for him so that they could install it easily. Well, the first problem was that Les hadn't removed the heater. But the bigger problem was that he had not put down any plywood to set the new tub on. The plumber insisted this had to be done, or else the tub would be sitting directly on the planks that comprise the support system of the floor. When I called Les on his cell, he seemed a bit annoyed to have me calling him. Then I told him about the situation. He said that since the old tub sat on the planks, the new tub could too. I told him of our plumber's insistence that it could not be done this way--here I was stuck between two professionals arguing. Les grudgingly said he would get the plywood, but he seemed really annoyed he had to do this. Then he called me from Home Depot asking what kind of plywood to get--he mentioned two of the cheapest kinds. He had me call my plumber, who couldn't believe a contractor was asking such things--he should know already! The plumber told me what kind to tell him, and I did. Then the Russian showed back up at our house with a piece of wood. Oops! he said. He had cut it the wrong size. He left and returned with two pieces of wood, which together totalled the length of the tub. He screwed them in and left. When the plumber came the next day, they pointed out that only one of the screws had hit any wood, which would have left the tub basically floating on the plywood, which could have shifted when water or a person was in it, thus cracking the tiles. Plus the Russian never cut a hole in the wood at the one end to allow for the pipes to connect to the tub. This apparently is done by most contractors. Based on what my plumber was telling me, I was beginning to have serious doubts about Les's ability to do this job up to current professional standards. Plus, during the demo, they allowed old razor blades that had been contained within the old bathroom wall to fall down to our kitchen floor, where my toddler could have easily picked them up and cut himself. Based on all this, we felt we had no choice but to cancel the contract. After getting quotes from two other contractors, we found out that Les was charging anywhere from $300 to $700 too much for the kitchen ceiling part of the job. Plus, he tried to charge $400 for just painting the ceiling and around the edges of the walls of the kitchen. I told him that for $400, I expected the whole kitchen painted, as I already had some experience with painters and knew I could get the whole room painted, two coats, for that price. And he charged for trash disposal, $200 for his trailer, plus the cost at the dump itself. I was told by another contractor that they don't charge extra for this. Plus, it seemed like for every little thing, Les wanted to increase the price. I feel like the price would have quickly escalated, had we continued with him. But the main problem was really the quality--or lack thereof--of the work.

Les explained to us every step we needed to complete for his work to begin, then told us step, by step, how he would make our attic in a large loft with a full bathroom. He is great. He went over all the details thoroughly and we were very happy. Our attic needs a lot of help.
Les and his guys built a gorgeous patrio for us 2 years back- it is still in mint shape even after all this rain (including hurricanes)  it drains perfectly.
We are looking forward to putting our plans into motion with the help he has already provided us.

The quality of the work was excellent. There were several subcontractors-cement;electric;HVAC;roofers;painters.
All were courteous and professional and took great pride in their craft. The materials used were all first quality.
The project took longer to complete than originally planned, perhaps because Jason was working another job simultaneously.
The job site should have been maintained better. There were a lot of construction materials spread out in the backyard, which ruined some of the grass. Communications in the beginning were good, but later on most of it was verbal and that got to be confusing.
Jason could have done better if he updated the schedule with texts on a daily basis.
Overall, we are very pleased with the finished room.

Only problem was he ordered a window for the wrong floor & quickly reordered another window. I paid extra for the window to be primed & painted white but the reordered one wasn't painted at all (inside or out).  Another contractor in the development noticed the windows weren't installed right & that Don had cut the facia to fit these replacement windows then installed wood strips to cover up his cuts. Nothing major but they don't match the builder grade per the master deed now. In addition they, installed a prefab bathroom vanity & faucet for me in the powder room. That turned out ok other than the gasket for the faucet was sticking out on only half the base. Don later informed me that his crew doesn't paint leaving the painting to me which I didn't have the time for to start with. That should have been said up front considering how much wood working I gave him & the wood replacement windows too.

The Owner of the Co. surveyed the job to be done by the request of the Vp. of Accurate Roofing (pls. see the other review on our address info.).  Mr. Leszek recommended the appropriate material to be used, wrote/signed the detailed contract, and scheduled the work for the following two days, over which the mason completed the job, then perfectly cleaned up the area.
The entire activity from the beginning to the end was a very pleasant, friendly experience.  Also, the quality of the work is
the highest possible, functionally and aesthetically, as well.

Les was great to work with.    He showed up when he said he would and gave us the best estimate.  We were very pleased with the end result.   Would definitely use his company again in the future!

L G did nothing short of a miracle and amazing job.  Other contractors only wanted to tear them down and re-pour them. L G was the only company who felt they could be repaired.
They came on a Saturday, finished on Sunday. Never made a mess, cleaned up after themselves. Caused no interruptions in the lives of the people living in the house.  They were very reasonable in cost.  THANK YOU L G!!!!
L G is a AAA++++++. You will not be disappointed.

All Phase Construction & Home Improvement LLC
There are a lot of "all Phase construction" contractors out there, so to be sure this review is for the All Phase construction owed by:  Andy Pilotti and Pat Frascella
So first I need to say I'm not an expert at home repair, this is my opinion.
First thing you need to know about these guys is that their dad is a lawyer.
How they have stayed in business for as long as they have is probably a result of the last statement.  but again this is just my opinion.
    So the facts:
I contracted these guys to replace a skylight on my roof.  They bought the wrong type of skylight (they dispute this)  buy I had the maker of the skylight come out and that is what they said.    the skylight leaked terribly (that is a fact).  All Phase construction tried to fix it by using a lot of roofing tar, but since they had the wrong skylight, they didn't have the right flashing and just tried to mold the roofing tar  ONTO THE SKYLIGHT ITSELF.  It was insane.  (my opinion).  when they were confronted with this detail they refused to believe that putting in the wrong type of skylight was the reason that water was coming in.  As I said I had other roofers look at their work and lets just say they were not impressed.
When I tried to get these guys to buy another skylight they threatened me with a defamation suit for writing reviews on angies list  which I hadn't even done yet!!! but now I am.    BTW all phase construction wasn't even on angies list before this review, so......
basically, in my opinion these guys will take short cut, and if you are not watching them the whole time telling them what needs to be done they will assume that they can take short cuts.  and then they pull the "oh, i didn't know you actually wanted us to stop the leak! we were just replacing a skylight!"  unbelievable.

Paul from the company came out to learn from me what I required.   He came on the appointed date at the scheduled time.  After looking over what was required he give me a quote which detailed the required work.   The price on the quote was a firm, fixed price and NOT estimate.  I gave him a $100 check as a deposit for which he gave me a receipt.   I was impressed with his professionalism as well as his business practice with the quote and receipt.  He indicated to me the work would take approximately 10 hours (1 1/2 days).  The work on my steps began about one week later when the weather was warmer.  Since I had already looked up on Google what was required, I was impressed that the work was done as I understood how it was to be completed.  The work was completed in the time-frame promised.   I am happy with the work itself.    Again, when I paid the balance Paul gave me a receipt for it.  I would highly recommend this firm.

Jeremy Cottingham was recommended to me for some projects I needed to have completed in my home.  He was responsive, showed up on time and very professional.  His pricing was very reasonable.  I recently had a lot of remodeling on my house and there were a few items that my last contractor did that needed to be redone.  Jeremy re-made some attic storage space doors that blended right into the walls.  They came out amazing!  He also opened up a closet and installed bifold doors.  I was so happy with the job he did I contracted him to finish off a cabinet that my original contractor left undone.  I was more than satisfied with the results! It came out beautifully..I was more than satisfied!  I plan to use Jeremy to do a custom cabinet work and shelving around a fireplace I am having installed.  I have no question it will come out great.  I highly recommend his work.
