  • Wonderful!!!! We had some weather delays but Dan was in constant communication with us. We were able to work together and really got what we wanted. We are also going to remain with this company for chimney service. It was expensive but very well worth the cost -we are extremely satisfied.

  • First and foremost, I would 100% use them again.  The price was a great value and I thought they acted very professionally when in my house.  Cons:  I thought the way they booked Angieslist appointments was a little odd.  Whereas there was confusion when I mentioned I already paid via the site.  Also, no phone/text reminder was given a day or two before they showed up. So I sort of forgot they were coming, but luckily I was working from home that day.  Only other feedback is they did not vacuum that great around the outside of the fireplace when done.

  • These guys were the best!!  I would recommend this company to anyone.
They were prompt, courteous, totally professional and extremely knowledgeable.  They checked everything out before they left to ensure it was in proper working order.
These guys totally rocked.  I look forward to working with them again on this older home. I highly recommend them.

  • Was personable and professional. Installed chimney as outlined in the contract and also identified another problem in the house, and offered to fix it without pressuring me. The wall behind the woodburning stove had wood shelves that might keep the chimney from passing inspection (fire hazzard). He took out the shelves and added brick to the existing brick wall and you couldn't tell the shelves were ever there. Everything passed inspection with no problem.

  • Shopped at store to purchase fireplace after hurricane Sandy ruined ours.  We decided to go larger but were not asked the size of room.  Turns out we could have went with the size we initially went in for.  I found out is was too large the day before delivery but after store hours.  Called the next morning to try and work something out.  Was told restocking fee of 20% would be applied since it was ordered so long ago.  The order was less than a month prior and the fireplace was in stock.  Hurricane Sandy has caused a lot of short term memories in areas that were damaged.  Orders for products were not as abundant as they are now.  I feel this would not have been a problem if business was slow.

  • Rick prepared a wooden platform to mount a new fireplace mantle on which he assembled. He looked the room over, had great suggestions for the platform that would complement the fireplace and room, adding trim to finish it off. It came out great and he and partner worker would not leave until I was thrilled with the finished product. Already planning to have them back for future projects.

  • Office called ahead of time to confirm.  Technician arrived on time, worked efficiently, invited me to watch process so I would be familiar with what he was doing.  Covered carpet to protect from soiling.  Left living room perfectly clean.

  • After being recommended by my home inspector, I called and left a message for them to come and look at my chimney before I lit a fire over Christmas.  They never called me back.  I lit the fire and fortunately had no problems.

  • We had them come clean our chimney after buying a house. Their pricing was in line with other companies. He found a couple issues - firebox floor needed high temp cement in a couple areas and they needed to apply "crown coat" at tope of chimney, but said he would have to come back out. I was quoted $390, which sounded high to me.
I decided to have Toms River Chimney come out to look at my chimney a couple days later and they did "similar" work for $170.

Also, I was supposed to have an inspection report emailed to me in 3-5 days but still waiting.

  • Lou was very nice the deal with and was very familiar with the developer of the neighborhood I just moved into.  The home inspector recommended we get a Level 2 inspection (which they always do), which is when a chimney company takes a video of the inside of your chimney to see if there's any defects.  This can cost a couple hundred bucks (I think) and Lou actually told us we don't need to get it done.  He then made the necessary repairs for half of what the other company had quoted me.
