Drain Cleaning reviews in Springfield

Called RuDan at a little after 9 on a Saturday morning with a clogged drain that had backed up into my slopped sink.  They sent someone right over and the whole job was completed within an hour of my calling them.  The gentleman assisting me (didn't catch his name) was extremely courteous.
Probably could get the work somewhat cheaper elsewhere, but the responsiveness and professionalism are well worth paying for.

Service Professionals, a company with VALUES and RESPECT FOR THE INDIVIDUAL.
The service call was responded to by Scott Bogda.  Upon opening my front door I was greeted with
a bright smile and my newspapers, which I neglected to get earlier in the day.
?Hi, Linda... here, your newspapers were in the driveway?.
I was completely comfortable with Scott the entire time he was in my home. I appreciated the fact that he was completely professional during our interactions.
I explained,  my issue in detail and informed him, I have an active sewer line protection. In turn he told me I should contact the provider since this  issue was server line related. I explained since he was already there I still wanted him to snake the drain.
He told me it was best to snake the line at the sewer cleanout. Prior to beginning he explained, most likely there would be some runoff and asked for a shallow pan which he could use to catch the waste water.
Despite the fact that the cleanout is in a crawlspace, he covered the floor with plastic, and gingerly unscrewed the cap. As he suspected there was runoff which he carefully caught in the pan.
After he finished he reminded me, since this was part of the interior sewer it should be covered by my protection plan.  He alsoe recommend I follow up with regular enzyme treatments and to reconsider the use of my garbage disposal.
Since my disposal was also jammed with line backup,  I asked him to use the Insinkerator Jam Buster wrench to clear the disposal jam. I explained I was hesitant on doing it myself and causing even more damage.  He attempted to clear the jam, but was not successful, and because the unit is 11 years old and out of warranty he recommended I leave it as is instead of incurring additional repair costs.
Despite the fact I spent a over 450.00 for my Kohler toilet, he informed me replacing the flapper assembly and water tank seals  would exceed the cost of a replacement toilet, therefore recommended I just replace it toilet. He further explained, the hard
water coupled with the chlorine additives degrade the rubber seals. Which also explains why the numerous Jacuzzi tub repairs.  We then discussed replacing the jetted tub with a standard non jetted tub. Much to my chagrin Scott informed me, my current tub size is non- standard which means replacing it will require  additional work -ugh.
Through out our interaction, Scott  provided me with options and gave sound recommendations.  Because of Scott, Service
Professionals has won my plumbing business.  I wish there were more trade professionals of his caliber.  If you want a true
professional, then I highly recommend Service Professionals.
In this  s cam filled out to make a quick buck society that we have become. It is refreshing to find a company which is still in the trust and relationship building business. They are the type of professionals who stand by their service.

On Saturday 12/5 I phoned the company for an estimate on a sink drain leak. We agreed to a 12/10/2015 appointment.
On 12/10, the gentleman came and I showed him the problem. He explained there was a pipe that was cut, which was allowing the sink waste to spill out onto the deck. I explained, believing it was unnecessary, I cut the PVC pipe that once occupied that space where the water was spilling over.  He then told me he would need to snake the line, which would cost me 185.00, before he would be able to provide me an estimate.  I raised a concern about being charge $185.00 before he would be able to provide an actual cost to fix the issue.  I explained, I could snake the drain myself, or I could call another plumbing service provider who in the past had charged me 80.00 to snake my Kitchen drain.  Case in point I googled cost to snake a
drain.  The results listed 99.00. Please see following link: [web link removed]

Back to my interaction with Right One Plumbing & Heating LLC. My concern, if after he snaked drain at a cost of 185.00 but we didn?t agree on his cost to fix the issue. I would have spent DOUBLE the normal and customary cost for the service and my problem would still be apparent, so he told me he didn?t want the job and left without as much as an attempt to negotiate a fair price DESPITE the fact that he was also aware of the other vendors prices.  So the only reason I can see for this is my race. He saw the melanin and it was a problem.  The melanin in my skin, never stopped me from hiring and paying any other repair professionals ?even when they didn?t do the job correctly, and it will not preclude my ability to hire and pay a fair price
to any other service professional. Several years ago, I was warned by another building contractor  that SOME contractors when they see you are a person of color they will raise their prices, apparently this is the case in this interaction.  I do not expect a ?hook up? but rather to be treated fairly. As a seasoned professional myself, I know know the difference between when I am being treated fairly verses when I am not being treated fairly.
The thing that really disturbs me, my initial interaction with him on 12/5 when  he and I  spoke at great length about the additional repairs and my desire to also get an estimate for a the Master bathroom remodel.  I guess like most, he was surprised when e had the opportunity to place a voice to a face.   Using the CODE, they will lie and site something other reason when they refute this review, and I am prepared for lie. Nevertheless, I will continue to point out these biases as they are uncovered.
So you are reading this and don't believe racism is alive and well in America, well then ask anti-racism activist and writer Tim Wise.

The plumber was very friendly and professional; all the staff that contacted me was. However, I waited almost 1 week (about 5 days). They gave me a 2 hour window (5 pm to 7 pm), some called me at about 6:15 pm to let me know the plumber was 30-45 min away, but the plumber didn't show until about 7:30 pm. So, I think either time management or better communication is in order. Still not terrible compared to my past experiences with others. I would recommend and use them again :)

2nd time I used Affordable Rooter at my house.  1st time was just to clear a clogged drain.  This time was for a leaking drain and vent pipe that were improperly installed by the previous owner.  Both time I used him he showed up on time, was responsive and did clean / neat work.  This was a rather difficult spot to work inside the cabinet, but was able to do everything without having to pull the cabinet / countertop or backsplash apart which was important for me.

I would highly recommend their services.

Company answered call promptly, asked for detailed description of problem and advised what the up front cost would be for a visit. Technician would advise up front cost of work needed to be performed. Was advised scheduled time tech was to arrive. Tech called to advise he would be earlier than promised (called company at (9:30 AM, scheduled time was for 2 PM, arrived at 12:30 PM) Tech did testing, determined power snake was needed to clear clog, advised up front cost with service call charge included in total. Performed work in organized manner, used old towels supplied by me to keep area clean. Cleaned up, double checked problem resolved and advised for future care to reduce re-occurrence for future. I paid by credit card. Tech was pleasant, courteous and attentive. I would definitely recommend this service to others.

The serviceman attacked quickly and did not give up until the drain was clear. They did not accept the Angies list coupon that showed on the site?

Lex got to my home at 4 pm, worked for 45 or 50 minutes, was a big clog, still only $69.95. He did a great job and was friendly.  I will call him again . Highly recommended!

They definitely seemed to know what they were doing. They had to come back a couple of times but they did fix whatever they came back for.
