  • Tom and his guys were very professional and easy to talk to about what we wanted to be done. They arrived when they said they would and always cleaned up each day. They did an excellent job and his guys are the best around. Our bathrooms looks great and am so happy with it.I would recommend him and his guys in a heartbeat.

  • Called on a Sunday night. Received call back the next morning. Made an appointment for Saturday and had my new kitchen installed and finished in two weeks. They were very professional and made sure to cover my floors and plastic the rest of my house. We could not be happier with our new kitchen. I would definitely recommend and use them again. Thank You

  • EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! JUAN AND HIS TEAM WERE EFFICIENT, POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
We hired Juan and his crew to put a small half bath and small laundry room on the first floor in some wasted space in the kitchen. We were hoping that the two rooms opposite each other would form a natural hallway into the kitchen and blend in and not look forced - which when all said and done is exactly how they turned out thanks to Juan and his crew.
    BEGINNING OF PROCESS
We received estimates from several contractors for this job and Juan was the most fair in terms of price. He seemed very knowledgeable when providing the estimate and what would need to be done in regard to the framing, plumbing and electrical.
    DURING THE BUILD
Juan and his team were on time and always came on the days they said they were going to be working at the house. As with any home improvement, we came into some issues that needed to be resolved and Juan would always have a solution to them. After framing was done, we realized that a vertical heat pipe would impact how the stackable washer and dryer would fit in the laundry room. The pipe needed to be moved about 12 inches and the radiator it connected to was on the second floor. I thought this was going to be difficult and expensive given how old the plumbing is in my house. Juan calmly said that they can move the pipe and the cost to move it was minimal.
There was thin molding in a grid pattern on the ceiling of the kitchen. It was completely symmetrical with the kitchen as it was, but with adding two rooms it would interfere with the new walls. Juan and his team removed it and spackled and sanded the ceiling smooth so that we can repaint the kitchen.
The crown molding and base board molding around the kitchen needed to wrap around the outside of the rooms so it blended in properly. Juan and his crew delicately removed the crown molding from the two corners and were able to reuse it around the outside of the rooms (saving money on materials). They perfectly blended in the molding so the rooms look like a natural part of the house.
The framing, plumbing, electrical, sheet-rocking and finishing (and several other items that came up during construction) took approximately three weeks (not counting the week we were waiting for inspections).
Juan and his crew cleaned up after each day so my kitchen was still usable. They always had contractor paper covering the floor so it did not get damaged.
I am incredibly pleased with the way the two new rooms came out. Juan was very conscientious to line everything up properly, and both rooms look very neat and precise - from the painting to the tiling to the fixture installs.
    OTHER ITEMS
In addition to the two new rooms, I had some small ?to do? items from previous renovations done on the house that were not completed by prior hires:
    1.    Finish molding around a window in upstairs bedroom
    2.    Finish molding on window in dining room
    3.    Replace an electrical outlet in upstairs bedroom
    4.    Run new water line to refrigerator
    5.    Remove three very heavy radiators, several pipes and old lumber from the house
    6.    Relocate radiator pipe from behind refrigerator that would allow the refrigerator to be pushed back against wall
    7.    Repair a small leak in my hot water heater
    8.   Repair a small leak in the water valve where the main water line came into the house
    9.    Moving a chandelier in the dining room out of the pathway of the kitchen door
    10.  Flip a cabinet door opening due to the radiator being moved
    11.  Move doorbell hardware and kitchen light switch
Juan agreed to wrap up all of these open items, basically at minimal additional cost from the estimate for the two new rooms.
Another large job Juan tackled which came up in the middle of construction - I noticed that I had leaks from the roof on my front porch and back porch. I asked him for a quote on fixing one roof and replacing another one with tar shingles. He gave me a very fair price and his team finished the job over the next two days. This was an unexpected job that he efficiently completed and I am very pleased with the results.
    IN CONCLUSION
I would definitely recommend Juan and his crew to anyone looking for a general contractor. They are ?can do? people, exceptionally friendly and extremely capable. They went above and beyond to assist me with not only the two main rooms, but also all of the other items that I have mentioned in this long review.
I have another project (refinishing floors) that I am going to do sometime in the next 3-4 months and I plan on using Juan and his team for this project as well.
Hire this guy? you will be glad you did.

  • We used a couple other people to estimate that could cost the job, and they were the best priced. They did a very good job.  Except, they left some other undone things. But, the communication was horrible. This is my first experience with contractor...They don't show up on time and don't call you,..Overall, I will grade them a B. I am not going to use them in the future.

  • It was not cheap but they did excellent work and they were done on time. We are very happy with the kitchen. They were phenomenal. I have had may kitchen done once before about 12 years ago and it was a horrible experience and these guys totally changed our opinion of having kitchen remodels. They were in on time. They did the work. They were on schedule. They were out almost ahead of time. It was an amazing for us. They said they could do the kitchen in two weeks and they did the kitchen in two weeks. We've recommended them to friends and co-workers.

  • I had some issues about some of their works, first, they took twice long as they estimated they would, next, they didn't complete everything that they said they were going to complete, and last, they were not always on time which I was really unhappy and they are only working like 3 hours a day. After they finished the job, I ended up with a damaged flooring, cabinetry, and appliances that they didn't take care of, I was very upset about it and I didn't even get their apology. I guess they estimated the work too low and I feel great for that, but when they started the job, they just started asking for more money right away and they didn't quite work out the way we want it to be, it's been very stressful for me and I ended up going over the total budget, so for me, their pricing was not that great. They are nice people but they are not professional. I have to find another contractor literally to fix some door works completely because I really don't like the experience that I had with them and I don't really want to have these people back in my house again. I had to share my bathroom with them because they are working on the new one and  they are not neat. It's very difficult for me because I had to be home for them and they just keep telling me that we need to buy this kind of thing because it's broken and so on and they were too much! I was just completely out my head for two months.

  • It went very well. I worked with Frank who was professional and helpful. Never felt pressured to get pricey items. Had many suggestions to fit my budget. His crew was great. Domingo was always on time and working. They kept me informed of the progress and any changes or problems. All in all a good experience.

  • I have had MC Home Improvement not only build my deck, but remodel and gut bathrooms, install backsplash in my kitchen, install crown and various moldings, replace light fixtures, garbage disposals, paint and replace my front sidewalk.
They return phone calls promptly and show up when promised and they do not leave the job site to start another, until it is finished!!!
If something happens to the job and you have any problem whatsoever.....it is never an issue, they immediately come back to fix it!

  • The first sign of inferior work was when I was told grouting was done, yet when examined, there were many places that were missing grout which I marked and photographed for John's review. Tiles were not flush with each other. We had him reset a few of them, but there are still tiles that are not flush with the surrounding ones. A couple of months after completion, the tub started to creak and the grout cracked. John refused to come and repair the problem and after we had a couple other contractors look at the problem it was determined that the tub was incorrectly installed. The tub was moving when we got in it and that movement kept cracking the grout. I took John to Small Claims Court in October '10 and judgement was awarded in my favor. However, getting any money back from John Trombino has proven to be impossible. This man is dishonest and does inferior work. I will be uploading pictures to my website for anyone to see the finished product of John Trombino's bathroom remodel as well as a simply garage painting that he did for us. The man can't even paint! • the gentleman came and gave us the options for our top. The sample lot was overwhelming and one better than the other. The brands were top quality. He was helpful and quietly lead us thru the process. He was friendly and courteous. Price, value were excellent and options for payment were just what we wanted and could work with. Serviceman were right on time, clean and the top went in like a charm. No complaints--just praises
