  • Brian came out and was able to get it working again. We were very pleased with his knowledge about the pilot lights and motors that run these fireplaces. He's prompt, honest and reasonable- we'll definitely call him should the need for servicing arise again.

  • Team arrived early by request (they called and asked if they could come early). Guys really nice and professional. Cleaned firebox and inspected flue. But pretty much all they did was vacuum the soot in the firebox and shine a flashlight into the flue. For $99 bucks... I vacuumed it in the past. Perhaps my expectations were a bit off? Sorry, but $99 bucks for a vacuum seems a bit of a stretch, hence the C rating for price. I asked for an estimate for repairs and got one - north of $4k! Pretty much to replace almost everything in the chimney. I didn't get a 2nd opinion, so I have no way of knowing how legit the estimate is. They guys never mentioned issues with the chimney liner, just the need to repair the area around the flue and the roof of the firebox. i'm starting to question most of the "deals" on Angies list. Just a way for companies to charge customers to get in the door without having to give a free estimate for repair. I want to be clear and fair here - based on the crew I met, I'd have to say I tend to think the company would do good work. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a bit deceived. The guys came and cleaned my firebox as advertised, so I can only blame myself. I have to believe that companies like this one must spend countless hours (translating into time and $) going out and giving estimates for repairs, only for the customer to go with someone else. So this model makes sense... for them. But I thought this is a customer driven field, and using Angie's list to have the customer pay for the estimate is shady practice in my opinion. Just my 2 cents...

  • Ordered a new chimney chase cover to replace old rusting one on October 29th.  Was quoted $1440 to replace with stainless steel with a lifetime warranty.  They had to come out twice just to measure it, because the first measurement apparently wasn't correct.  Proper measurement taken on November 6th.  On day of installation (November 19th), one of the two caps was deformed, yet they installed it anyway.  Was obvious to see from the ground.  Withheld full payment until they corrected it.  They responded well and had it fixed on November 21st.  Paid in full at that time.

That winter, during very windy conditions, we would hear a metal squeaking sound coming from the chimney - was very loud on windy days.  Just considered it the sound the new caps made.  However, in March after a very windy storm, noticed one of the caps was tipped over and actually off the collar.

Turns out they never connected the caps correctly to the collars, and in fact didn't connect them at all!  The caps were just sitting on top of the collars!  So the squeaking we heard all winter was the caps rubbing on the top of the collars.  Terrible!!

They came out relatively quickly and attached the caps by sealing them with heavy duty caulk.  Thought they should have used stainless steel connectors.  Seemed like a jury rigged solution to me, but they said that's how they do it.  After they finished, I came out to evaluate, and my shiny, new stainless steel chase cover was covered with caulk!  They were so sloppy with the caulk that they let it get all over the cover and collars.  Looked terrible!

So I had to schedule them to come out again to clean the cover and collars off.  It's been one thing after another with this company, right from the beginning with the wrong measurements.

You'll want to consider carefully if you want to hire these guys!

  • I phoned the company yesterday at 12:15 and a very polite woman (Tara?) picked up the phone. Within a few minutes of chatting, she had me scheduled for a delivery with a two hour window. ( between 1 and 3 pm the same afternoon!). Being that I had to leave my home during that time, she told me to leave the check on the log rack. My son got home around 3, and the wood had already been delivered and stacked! There was no evidence in the driveway that a cord of wood had been delivered and every speck of wood chips/debris had been cleaned up! The wood was perfectly stacked on my log racks in back of my house. It was absolutely a true cord of wood for a fair price $200 plus $50 for stacking. I will use them again and highly recommend them if you're in the market for firewood.

  • Elio promptly arrived to review the issue and knew exactly what needed to be done.

  • It went really well pretty quickly. There were no problems for them to fix so it was just basically the sweep. They were reliable, punctual, and they did a good job. They did not find any problems that were there. They were on time and they were really clean which was nice for a chimney sweep.

  • The salesman provided a written description of observations after an inspection and a written quote for the items I agreed to have done. He was very pleasant and professional, and I was not pressured to contract for all the items he listed. I got estimates from another company but selected All-American due to their more reasonable price. The young men who came to do the work were friendly and accommodating. Of course I did not go up to inspect the job myself but from what I could see from the ground it looks great. I would recommend this company.

  • Very Professional.  Promptly returned call for estimate.  Work completed quickly and satisfactorily.  Quality of work was not rated an A because they did not cover the AC unit and everything below, when patching the chimney.

  • I have used this company a few times in the past and have always been happy with the service they provide. I called for the appointment and scheduled a cleaning for about 10 days later.  They were booked up until then, which to me means they do a good job and are very busy. The person on the phone told me he would arrive between 9 and 10. He arrived at 9:20. The whole process of cleaning and inspecting took about 45 minutes.  He did not leave a speck of soot behind, which is what I have always experienced with this company.  He told me both flues looked good, with no cracks, chimney caps are in good shape. He is very open to any questions you may have about using your fireplace and is very professional and friendly.  I would highly recommend this company.

  • I called and spoke to Tracy, who took down all my information and told me they could get it here within a few days. I asked them to please call ahead so I can make sure my car is out of the garage before dumping the wood on my driveway. They did call to let me know they were coming and everything went smoothly. The wood appears to be of good quality--have not used any yet, but it looks seasoned and ready to go. Will see in a couple of months when it gets cold.
