    Terrible. Groomers failed to report a problem with my pet. Dog suffered. Owner was rude and did not seem to care about our dog's condition. Animal suffered and we had large vet bills which could have been avoided if they had acted professionally. I would not use this provider.

    This is the second review I am writing for this establishment; the first was written a while back, when there was a different owner. The original owner has now retired and the Barker Shop is under new management. The new owner groomed my dog while the original owner was still there, during a transition period, and we had no problem. This time was extremely problematic. My husband made the appointment and we were purposely given the last appointment of the day, as our dog is extremely difficult when it comes to having her nails trimmed. The new owner knew this and stated that this was the reason she wanted to do it at the end of the day, as she would have more help at that time. I dropped off the dog at the appointed time. When I was called and told she was ready to pick up, I was told that they "didn't have a chance to get to her nails." When I arrived at the shop to get her, I asked if they didn't have time, or they just didn't want to do them. At that point, the owner told me that I should look into having the dog tranquilized to have her nails cut. I don't argue that it is difficult, but in the past, they muzzled her and just did it. The new owner was also, as evidenced by our previous conversation, aware of the challenge. The owner was busy sweeping up the shop at this time and would not even come to the counter to discuss it with me. Her assistant then gave me the total, and when I took out my credit card to pay, asked me if I had been informed that their credit card machine was down and that I would have to pay in cash. No one had informed me of that -- fortunately I had enough cash to bail out my dog. To top it off, they were charging me the full price, even though they had not done her nails. When I said something about that, the answer was "Oh, well, we can take that amount off if you want us to." If I want them to? We were extremely disappointed with the attitude. If this is how the new owner is going to treat the business, I don't think they will be in business for long. Because of this disgraceful customer service, I will never use this shop again.

    Called the day before for an appointment. They were very accommodating and friendly. Dog looks great! Would definitely recommend and use again.

    It went fair. Dog was exhausted.  Shop was hot and he was there way too long. 5 hours.  Won't use them again.
