    Evaluated the fridge, but the problem was apparently a "sealed system" so not cost effective to repair. Charged for an evening service call- was happy to pay and glad he made it over. Clean, fast efficient, honest.

    Called Dave early on a Monday morning to come look at a refrigerator that was not cooling, and he gave me a two hour time frame to arrive later that same morning. Arrived within the time promised, quickly diagnosed that the compressor was not starting. Took a look at the compressor and offered one possible solution of installing a starter kit. Quoted price was about $250, with a promise that if it didn't work he could remove the part and would only charge $100 for the service call and labor. Went ahead with this repair, which only took about 5 minutes, and it is working well so far. Dave was prompt in responding to my call and punctual in arriving, and was friendly and professional the whole time. My only complaint is the price charged. Given the price quoted for removing the part if it did not work, the part charge was about $150 for a Supco 3 n 1 Start Relay, which I see sells for around $20 or less. I wish he was not charging such a premium over the real part prices. I would recommend him based upon quick response and quality of service, with the caveat that you might be paying a bit too much for a repair.

    This was my most positive experience with an appliance repair. I called Dave and 40 minute later he was at my house. He quickly figured out the issue with the dryer and fixed it in less than an hour. He also took the time to tell me what led to the problem originally and how to avoid it. Reasonable price, nice guy, quick service. Really, could not ask for anything more.

    I called Dave when I found water under and around my washing machine.  He inspected the machine for leaks but was unable to find the source.  He believes the water was due to an unbalanced load causing water to go out over the tub basin.  He pointed out rust in the pan underneath which suggests this has happened before.  If there was a leak I would find water with each use.  Dave took the time to explain in detail all his findings.

    We can't be happier - thought we needed a new fridge and now it's working again like it was brand new. Dave was here within the hour of my calling, honored the "free service call" ad in Angie's List and worked 3 hours on fridge, charging just for the labor.  The work was done without any mess, pleasantly and courteously.  We would recommend him to anyone!

    He is one of the most honest people I have ever meet. He explained to me what we could do to save some money and the repairs he could make so we do not buy unnecessary parts. He always has everything he needs in his truck and he is just a very nice guy. I recommend him to others.     Dave responded to my initial request to repair my dishwasher immediately.  Later that night I received a call from my tenants that their fridge wasn't working.  I called Dave after 9pm and asked if he could work on the fridge after.  He said yes.  Both jobs were completed within an hour each, he was punctual and cleaned up any mess that was created.  I would use him again, and recommend him to others.

    Our dryer stopped tumbling and I wasn't sure whether to buy a new one or not. I went on Angie's list and figured I'd try fixing it and see what happens. I found Dave since he had so many good reviews and called him on Wed. afternoon July 4th. A message was taken and Dave called me back about an hour later to set up an appt. between 9 - 11am on July 5th. He actually showed up early at 8:55 am - took me by surprise! He diagnosed the problem w/i two minutes and replaced my belt. He also cleaned up the lint/dust from the inside. He left his sticker on my dryer in case anything else happens, or his solution doesn't work. I thought he was great! Wish all service calls could go like this one. Of course the proof is in the pudding since I am writing this and he just left and I haven't really used my dryer - but I will definitely use Angie's list if anything changes. Overall - terrific!

    I am absolutely thrilled to have found Dave.  Previously, I had a repairman advise me that my front load washer, no more than 4 years old at the time, would need to have the entire tub replaced because a ball bearing/tub unit was coming loose and that it would cost over $700 to install a new one.  Dave came in, actually took the machine apart and discovered that it was not the ball bearing/tub unit that was causing the problem, but that the pulley system needed to be replaced.   Also, we have a range in the basement that was fried after the October snow storm caused a power surge in the house and Dave was able to replace the electronic circuitry on the range and now it works fine.  He also made a great suggestion to get our dryer working better, and now of course it works without a problem.  Dave was prompt, knowledgeable and above all else, very honest.  His estimates for repair parts and time spent to repair/install were accurate.   He follows up afterwards to make sure that everything is working fine.  Overall, I am very happy with Dave's Appliances and will use him again.  I have also recommended him to friends in need of a good appliance repairman.

    Dave was an excellent service provider.  I am keen on customer service and his was superior.  The word I would use is highly-skilled.  Where I've used generalists from PSE&G through their "worry-free" maintenance plan (the energy company who offers to fix your appliances too), they never really seemed like they knew what they were doing (a lot of phone calls and trips to get parts).

    Dave returned my call within 15 minutes (as promised on his website) and talked specifically about my issue to ensure he was properly supplied for the call the next day.  Today he came promptly at 9am, with the necessary part and found 1 other issue for which he also had the part handy.  He was extremely informative and courteous.

    I highly recommend his services.  I will be using him again for future issues with other appliances (as I'm sure there will be issues).
