  • Horrible experience for my daughter going to this office for the 1st time! She arrived on time on a Friday afternoon and was told immediately by a very rude receptionist that they do not accept paper referrals and would need an electronic referral sent over within 48 hours or she'd be charged $200 to $1000 for this appt that was canceled anyway. I got on the phone with this receptionist and explained if an office policy was electronic referral, she should have been informed that at the time of setting up the 1st appt. But it wasn't i explained and that it should have. All this girl could do is say it has been their policy for some time now. What? How is a new patient supposed to know this? They reduced my daughter to tears thinking she would be responsible for a bill, needless to say she is in extreme pain and needs attention immediately. I am going to be in touch with BCBS of New Jersey to also let them know about their contracted with provider.
    Update: My daughter was able to get her primary care doctor to electronically send a referral. My daughter did not have the proper paper referral due to inexperience with the process. She was she by a caring staff at this office and said she liked this Dr. Vito Brunetti. Regardless of this working out where she did get treatment, the rudeness of the receptionist to my daughter, a new patient, is unacceptable. I will continue to update this office and Doctor as followups are scheduled.

  • Dr. Loh was very thorough in her diagnosis of my problem. She even gave ideas on foods I could eat to avoid future problems. I got a prescription to take care of the immediate problem and I ended up getting a probiotic and a prebiotic from my neighborhood pharmacy. I have not had a problem in almost a year now!

  • Dr Smolinsky and her office staff are kind, friendly and incredibly caring. They treat you like a close friend and make sure that your visit is handled professionally. Dr Smolinsky delivered my baby last fall, so I spent a lot of time with her and her staff last year. Every visit was like seeing old friends. I looked forward to going to my appointments to check on my (and my baby's progress) and to chat with the ladies. We had an issue with someone at another facility where we went for testing. Dr Smolinsky took the time to call me back late on a Monday evening to find out what happened, and to reassure me that everything would be ok. She went above and beyond to advocate for me and to make sure others were treated better at that facility. I can not recommend Dr Smolinsky more. She is very knowledgeable and works hard to earns your trust. She doesn't dictate a course of action, rather she works with you to make sure your experience is as close to what you want, but still keeps you and your baby safe.
    I highly recommend Dr Smolinsky to everyone who asks who delivered my baby.

  • I've been going to him for 10 years. He's very neat, clean, and always in an uplifting mood. When you go to see him, you're always thinking and expecting the best. If you have little something to worry about, he will cheer you right up and he will bring you to a better mood.

  • Generally I am willing to accept that most front offices at Doctors office for Specialty care (gastroenterology) tend to be gruff, push and less than friendly. This was the case with Shore Gastro from the start. Not great but acceptable to work with a good Doctor.
    Last summer the facility decided to change their computer system to one which allowed the doctors to work with laptops they carried around which would expedite service, accuracy of information, better control of pharmacy followup, and followup with detailed information to me the patient. That was the intent.
    My first experience with this was a spring appointment where they requested that I give them all my medical, insurance and personal information again. They did little to no data transfer and dumped this responsibility back onto the patients. Not only did I spend time redoing information they already had but my appointment was cut short and my followup was a printed sheet of impersonal statistics with nothing useful for me the patient. At this appointment I asked as I always do if I had any balance on my account. Generally my insurance company denies something or applies it to the deductible. They informed me there was nothing and presented me with a copy of the latest. I returned in the fall for a followup appointment to an office that should have settled down from the computer transition only to find a higher level of belligerence from the front office staff, a clinical detached feel from the doctors and a drastically reduced appointment time. Clearly they had found a way to increase the number of patients they see. My total visit time with the Dr this time was 9 minutes from his walking in the door to him walking out to the followup desk with me in tow. This was my absolute last appointment. Especially when I received yet another printout of useless information about my appointment. On top of all of that when I asked for my bill to be checked I was once again told there was no balance and I got my printout.
    A few months have passed, I received a call from a collection agency at the start of February seeking payment for services rendered 18 months ago. Needless to say I was taken aback. I asked for a copy of the bill and I have been in touch with the agency several times but still no bill has been provided. Even they are getting frustrated. The bill is $400 and easy enough to take care of but I need a bill. I called several times to Shore Gastro trying to get a response or some help to find out what this is for and all I ever get is voicemail. The one time I did get someone to ask for a copy of the bill I was told that someone who was not there needed to process it and I would get a call back. I asked why I was never called or sent a bill only to hear a grunt and someone hangup the phone. That was more than a month ago. I continue to make calls with no response and have as of 3/12 turned all of my call logs and correspondences over to the state.
    I can't recommend anyone go to this so clearly mismanaged office. It has gone from a tolerable bad office with good doctors to an incompetent and belligerent office with drive by service. Their revenues maybe up from rushing patient consults but in teh loong run the have damaged their reputation. I have warned everyone I meet to stay away.

  • It is a multi doctor practice. If you are expecting they make it a point that you meet all the doctors. I like some of them more than others but all of them are professional and helpful. They are good in what they do. The nurses are excellent and they have a nice office.

  • We heard about Dr. Ferlise through a friend. After my husband was diagnosed we immediately started doing our homework finding out all we could about his disease. We knew we had to talk with several different doctors to make a decision about what we we do. We called up Dr. Ferlise's office and that is where the experience started. The office staff could not have been more kind and understanding. They knew we were extremely upset and they squeezed us in to see Dr. Ferlise that very week. Although we did have a bit of a wait when we got there, we did not complain. When we did get in to see Dr. Ferlise he was a very comfortable, approachable man. He explained all about the disease and about our options. He told us what he would have us do based on his experience. We did not feel rushed in any way. He answered our questions with patience and compassion. He was very thorough. We ultimately did not use Dr. Ferlise for my husband's treatment because we wanted a facility closer to our home.

  • I had this condition for many months. It was difficult to clean area between f******* & head of p****. Unable to urinate standing up or  most of the urine would get on my pants.At times the f******* was infected.
    I  was 10 minutes early for my appointment but taken in 45 minutes late at the doctors office. The Doctor was clear about my problem and decisive about my needing an operation.
    Riverview Hospital was very professional about all aspects of my operation. The nurse even followed up , with me, the day after being operated. I would definitely go back there

  • Dr. Braendle has a single standing office. He is thorough and very personable. Dr. Braendle is a part of a group of doctors that provide a free standing clinic. If he is never not available, like on the weekend, I can still get great care. He explains things very well and the office is very accomodating. I always feel I have an option which makes me feel very comfortable.

  • He's the best, everyone told me that in the hospital - nurses and doctors in the hospital. My doctor told me that's who other doctors go to when they need surgery. I've called him on weekends and he's called me back. I went in for back surgery and had a bad spinal leak, I had to be operated on. He met me at the emergency room on a Sunday, he said he had to do surgery - I was hysterical and he said I'm sorry. He got me a room and didn't even wait for the people who take you to the room, he pushed me along with my husband up to the room. He's amazing. The wait time can be a little long but he might come straight from operating. He did spinal surgery and fixed a spinal leak. I had a 6 hour surgery but I felt very comfortable having him do it, my husband did to. I trust him with my life.
