    Dave's home inspection was very thorough!  As a first time home owner, Dave went through every detail of the home and explained things to me as we went along.  He answered all my questions honestly and completely.  I didn't know what to expect with a home inspection as this was my first one, and 2.5 hours later I felt completely comfortable with what was going on in my new potential home.  Dave sent the inspection report that very night to me!  I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home inspector.

    I used Terra Home Inspections to conduct a home property inspection on a property that I was in the process of purchasing. Frank provided me a military discount on what was already a fair price. I arrived at the property to find Frank already there and ready to get started. He was very thorough and talked me through a lot of what he was seeing, identifying significant areas of concern as well as minor problems. What was very enlightening was that Frank was able to identify the source of the problems, not just the problem itself. His knowledge helped me feel confident in the property that I was buying.     Peter was by far the best thing to happen to us during our home buying experience. I have no doubt he is the most proficient and thorough home inspector available. Peter discovered many hidden nuances of the home and knew exactly how to remediate/repair them along with an estimated cost. Peter went above and beyond the typical home inspector duties. One of the greatest qualities
    is that the inspection does not proceed to the next step until all questions are answered and all in attendance of the inspection have a full understanding of the subject matter. I would easily give Peter an 11/10 on his worst day. Thank you very much, Peter.

    It was a terribly cold and rainy day (it had just snowed 6inches).  Despite these conditions, he said he preferred to do the inspections and it proved very fruitful.  He arrived at the house 30min before the inspection time and had already taken countless pics and assessed the exterior prior to our arrival.  We walked around the house, checked out the roof and exteriors, gutters, etc...Spending nearly 90min just on the exterior!
    We then moved inside to the basement, and once again, he walked us through every single step and provided great simple explanations to any questions we had.  In total, we spent approximately 4 hrs to finish the inspection on the 3400 sq ft house.
    Going back to the rain, he was dead on!  We found a minor leak in one part of the roof which our Seller arranged to fix. This would never have been found on a nice, sunny day!
    As promised, 2 days after the inspections, we received a very thorough report and 2 days after that (4d after inspection), the radon report. 
    Everything went exactly as anticipated and planned.

    I liked that he was previously a contractor, so he knew what he was doing. One of the few inspectors I have seen that use a 25 ft ladder to view the roof as well. Has very detailed and comprehensive reports. Avoids a lot of confusing verbage.

    Michael is very thorough and goes above and beyond when inspecting homes. we have used accurate inspections 3 times and have been satisfied with every inspection (although not every house). Michael makes sure to explain his findings to you as he is inspecting the house and answers any questions you have. From the roof all the way down to the basement, EVERYTHING was checked. the written report is amazing and such a helpful reference (the photos too!). great communication and always available to answer any questions we had after the inspection.

    Benchmark was recommended to me by two real estate agents (one our agent; one a family friend) who both said that if they were buying a home, they'd want to use Kyle.  They couldn't have been more right.  Kyle did a truly unbelievable job -- this was no cookie-cutter, check-the-box home inspection.  

    We were on a tight timeline for the home purchase and Kyle was extremely flexible in scheduling.  We scheduled a day that we hoped would fall after attorney review, and he also held a day as a backup for us if we needed to push it back (he was to call us if someone else wanted to schedule on that day so we could decide).  

    The initial inspection lasted well over 5 hours.  He checked every corner of the inside and outside of the house and provided detailed explanations of what he was looking at, why, and what concerns (if any) he had.  This is the second home inspection I've gone throughand he provided far more detail than I was accustomed to, and the agent who was with me at the house couldn't believe how long it was taking (I didn't care one bit).  He had a digital camera with him and took numerous photographs of everything he was looking at, which he said would remind him of what he was looking at.  I was a bit taken aback that he wasn't taking any notes -- so I was writing things down furiously -- but this ultimately wasn't a problem AT ALL as I describe below.  He answered all my questions and, when necessary or when asked, explained how things worked.

    We ran into trouble because the access to the attic was blocked by some California Closets (itself a code violation).  In order to be able to complete his work, he arranged with the seller and seller's agent to complete that attic inspection when he came back to pick up the radon detector.  (No extra charge to me.) 

    My worries that the inspection report would lack detail were completely unfounded.  I received a 25 page PDF of detailed explanations (no check-box answers here), with all the issues he identified included in the text and "major concerns" clearly called out in red.  The PDF also included over a dozen of the digital images Kyle took with headings, arrows and explanations of what the photo showed.  Where building code violations were noted, Kyle often included the actual building code citation!  The inspection report was incredibly helpful in negotiating a reduction in the purchase price to address the noted repairs, and has been even more helpful when hiring contractors to address identified issues, as I can clearly explain what I need to have done.

    I will note that Kyle is more expensive than other inspectors I considered, but you absolutely get what you pay for.  His work was really above and beyond, and he was worth every penny.

    Beechstone was great. They performed their work quickly, but in a thorough manner. Afterwards, they gave us a report, but most importantly as we were 1st home buyers, they gave us very informative tips & tricks to sufficiently maintain our system and keep it in top-notch condition. Says alot for their business philosophy as they truly seemed to put customer interests first.
