Solid work, good experience. Serge gave me an estimate after I showed him what we needed and that number matched the final bill. He and his partner Nick were professional, communicated with me about any issues they discovered, such as the height of mirrors I asked them to set up, also a certain paint color and some other specifications. They even fixed up a faucet at no charge. Hard workers, nice guys. Recommended.

From the very first time I called Gary he was a professional. He asked a lot of questions around what I wanted done and he did an amazing job connecting me with his trusted network of granite guys, plumbing supply house, cabinet distributor, etc. This made the process extremely smooth and I couldn't believe how fast they completed the entire job. I have worked with a lot of contractors and you get what you pay for. They don't show up when they say they are going to, they juggle to many jobs at the same time, they cut corners and you have to have work redone or it takes them forever to comeback and finish the last 10% of the job. With Gary, he starts and finishes the job. He does whatever it takes and most importantly he does what he says he is going to do period. I personally have never had an experience like this with anything around contracting and moving forward I will use Gary for everything. Lastly, his team is professional, clean, efficient and seek perfection.

I ordered the new storm door and Frank came and installed a veneer of wood to cover the damaged door frame. He matched a new threshold since it needed to be raised slightly to meet the bottom of the new door. He did an excellent job of installing the door as well.

Bob did a great job of accessing the problem with the deck, made recommendations to how he would go forward with the repairs which I approved on the spot. Bob competed the repairs in a timely manner. He was very organized, professional and cordial. Bob came back the following week and fixed and repaired the gutter problem without me even being home. I was very impressed with the quality of his work and his reasonable prices. I would certainly recommend Bob to other friends and neighbors and would absolutely use hom again.

The powder room went like clockwork after our learning experience with the master bathroom. It should have been the other way around but our master bath was screaming for attention. Planning is crucial, and budgeting paramount. Be very clear in your design. John and Jeff are stickler for getting the job done as discussed; Although we did wish every now and then that they would have tips to guide us through our first remodelling project. Here are some tips and lessons learned for a bathroom project: 1. Select the Tiles, Toilet , Vanity, Mirror, Lights, Paint, Trim and Shower door well in advance. 2. When hiring a contractor ask them if they have installed the selected items or something similar. It is important as the newer models require some major changes to plumbing fixtures and will cost more to install. 3. Check to see if the remodelling needs a permit. 4. Understand the building code: like an exhaust fan is not needed if you have a window: no permit is needed if the layout is not being modified. 5. Pay attention to detail: Tile layout, Grout, Tile care, Baseboard,Trim, Color, Paint. 6. Time to complete. Once you and the contractor understand what the job entails and it is codified - your project will proceed like clockwork.

I needed a few things done to the house. They were small jobs, however one (an emergency) was reattaching a pipe that had come loose. It was swaying in the wind and I was afraid it would pull off the house. Mark was referred to me and he fit me into his schedule the same day when I expressed my concerns. I had total confidence from the moment he arrived. He completed the work, even staying a little later than expected (at the end of an already long day). I will be needing a new roof and siding and will definitely call Mark.

    JMC Home Improvement Specialists
Just under 10 years ago, I had remodeled both our master and hall bathroom, installing new cabinets, counter sink fixtures, lighting, and wallpaper/paint.  I stopped short of tearing out the aging fiberglass tub and shower enclosures, as they really weren't in bad shape and the scope of the work was greater than my time availability and skill level would support. With another 10 years gone by, the showers were definitely showing their age, and needed replacing.  However, the challenge given JMC was to accomplish the shower replacement without disturbing any of the prior work, which was still in great shape.
In addition, after living with a tiny laundry room for 20+ years, we needed to replace our washer/dryer, and realized that modern appliances simply were not going to fit in our tiny space.  John came out and discussed options with us, and we arrived at a plan to knock out part of a wall, extend our space into the garage as well as under the stairs, and create a functional laundry room with modern full-size stacking washer and dryer.  Again, the complexities of the design and the required movement of various plumbing and electrical components made for a challenging project.
Sitting down with John MacDougall and his designer, we arrived at a great layout for the laundry.  Through the process, John helped us to stay within our budget and avoid extra costs. Selecting the tile, fixtures and finishes for the laundry and the showers was made substantially easier by JMC's showroom, where we could see samples, compare colors and arrive at our decisions. We signed our contract at the end of September 2015, but explained that we would be having house guests through the Christmas holiday.  As a result, demo and (re-)construction didn't start until later in January, which was fine with us. George, who had previously handled our basement remodel, came in to do the demolition and construction of the new laundry, and Mario handled each of the bathrooms.  The crew put down floor protectors and plastic curtains in order to contain as much as possible of the dust and mess.  Because we needed a working shower, the bathrooms were done sequentially, and then Barb was brought in to handle painting the bathroom, ceilings, the new laundry, and an upstairs bedroom we had added into the picture.
The results are spectacular!  Each of the bathrooms has been transformed into a stunner, and the new laundry is extremely functional. Mario is a perfectionist and an absolute artist with respect to the tile work and fixtures - his attention to detail was incredible. The paint work is also top notch.  This is my third project with JMC, and at this point I wouldn't even think of calling anyone else. I highly recommend JMC for whatever your remodeling needs are - John is extremely knowledgeable, his crew are all craftsmen in the truest sense of the word, and Jack (project manager) does a great job of keeping everything running smoothly.

    What a great experience.
Messaged Serge with the app on a Sunday night expecting a response Monday am. He got right back to me that night and scheduled an appointment to take a look on Monday.
Received a call saying he was running a little late - an actual call from someone letting me know of a delay. AWESOME. Turned out was only about 15 minutes - but nice communication!
An upstairs bathroom had leaked downstairs and through the ceiling. He gave me an estimate for the job and was able to come back Christmas Eve to complete. Hard worker!
He said he would arrive a 8am with another guy. Guess what - showed up at 8am on time! With two guys! They took off shoes, laid down blankets and taped up plastic to contain dust. So clean.
They opened the ceiling and walls, found the leak and repaired it rather quickly. They spent 85% of their time doing a PERFECT job of repairing the wall and ceiling. They took their time - and you cannot even tell where the wall and ceiling was open. Like an artist!
Entire experience was great. Would call them again for anything I needed done in the house. Really great guys.

This was a great experience. Serge responded quickly, showed up to appointment on time and all thru the repairs he delivered exactly what he said he would when he said it would be done. He and his employees are clean, professional and very considerate of us and our property. We had a list of some large and some small projects, the first were new basement stairs replacing the 100+ year old, shaky, irregular ones. Because of their condition we rarely went in the basement in the 24 years we have lived here. The stairs that were built onsite are so stable and comfortable we are now using them often, allowing us so much more storage options.
We needed exterior stairs to a new out building. I imagined a simple step but what Serge gave us was a beautiful step and deck finished off more beautifully than some "finish" work we had done inside our house by a different contractor.
Also we had 2 areas of open ceilings that needed insulation for the spaces above them, one in our basement and one in our barn, neither space is used for anything other than storage and yet the work is clean and tidy with Serge going the extra mile of adding more supports when he thought that the insulation might sag over time.
There were other minor repairs that were tended to with equal amount of detail and removal of all debris. Serge also offered to haul away anything else we had at no extra cost other than the per pound charge at the weigh station.
Material purchases were a separate expense and Serge emailed all receipts for purchases and returns ensuring an accurate and efficient  accounting system.
We already have a new "My Town" list started and are excited to finally have some issues around our 150 year old house attended to properly. We HIGHLY recommend their services.

John was a pleasure to work with. I wanted to create my perfect football viewing zone in my new home and explained to him over the phone what I envisioned. He said he'd make it happen. Showed up on time, really friendly guy, got the job done -- which require drilling into stone/mounting onto uneven surface/bracing -- and it looks great. I'll definitely call him again with any home projects that are beyond my capabilities.
