We have used Compass Contracting for multiple projects including a bathroom remodel, replacing siding and windows, tiling and painting. Matt is wonderful to work with. He is honest and gets the job done right and on time!

Work was done very professionally, on time, and within budget. It was a pleasure to work with Chris Fontana, who was very responsive to all requests/changes. This was a big project, with several teams participating, with a good coordination. All workers were highly professional and polite. I will definitely hire Magnolia again for a large project.

We had a very good experience with them. The workers were fantastic. We had some troubles because the door wouldn't close properly we had some water damage. He worked very hard to get the door to close properly. They couldn't do better, They said it needed to take it apart, he did it himself and he got it done in 30 minutes. He was very fantastic.Their price was absolutely in range with all the others. We're getting a life home warranty on the roof and the windows and that's why it's fantastic. We had to reschedule, but once they were here they were punctual.

JMC developed a plan, and stuck to the plan. They came in on time and on budget. We are very pleased with the process and the final product. There were usually at least 6 workers onsite and sometimes up to 9. By the end of the project (almost 4 months) we felt like they were family.

Andrew and his team completely remodeled two of our bathrooms, including our master bath. We found the team to be prompt, courteous, responsive to our needs and suggestions, and forthcoming with their experience on how to tackle certain aspects of the project. We are completely satisfied with their “old world” attention to detail and workmanship. We had extensive tile-work patterns to be completed throughout both bathrooms and the workmanship is accurate and beautiful. The master bath was completely re-oriented, changing the rooms layout of sinks and cabinetry 90 degrees, installing fortified floors, a heated floor, a free-standing bathtub and creating a new glassed-in and vented shower enclosure. The project started and finished within our anticipated schedule and completed within our agreed upon budget. Please feel free to contact Andrew and his team without reservation. We would use them again. It was a pleasure to work with them.

The powder room went like clockwork after our learning experience with the master bathroom. It should have been the other way around but our master bath was screaming for attention. Planning is crucial, and budgeting paramount. Be very clear in your design. John and Jeff are stickler for getting the job done as discussed; Although we did wish every now and then that they would have tips to guide us through our first remodelling project. Here are some tips and lessons learned for a bathroom project: 1. Select the Tiles, Toilet , Vanity, Mirror, Lights, Paint, Trim and Shower door well in advance. 2. When hiring a contractor ask them if they have installed the selected items or something similar. It is important as the newer models require some major changes to plumbing fixtures and will cost more to install. 3. Check to see if the remodelling needs a permit. 4. Understand the building code: like an exhaust fan is not needed if you have a window: no permit is needed if the layout is not being modified. 5. Pay attention to detail: Tile layout, Grout, Tile care, Baseboard,Trim, Color, Paint. 6. Time to complete. Once you and the contractor understand what the job entails and it is codified - your project will proceed like clockwork.

Fantastic!!!! We were keenly aware of the nightmares people have dealing with contractors. When we started this project we were very concerned and full of anxiety. Then we met Ralph and all of our angst quickly melted away. Ralph and his crew are the best of the best. We trust them 100%. We would recommend National Home Improvement to anyone.

Thanks to K&B, this project exceeded our expectations, and at a very fair price!  Mike was really helpful during the planning and proposal stage and provided us with a very detailed estimate (which we appreciated as it helped ensure we were on the same page with regard to what was included in the job).  When it was time to start, Horacio and his crew took over and they did a fantastic job.  They checked with us along the way to make sure they were building it the way we wanted.  When in doubt, they did not assume but asked to be sure!  They were meticulous and took great care to every detail.  We have worked with many many contractors over the years and I would put K&B at the very top of our list!  Throughout the process they were responsive, professional and reliable.  They left the area clean at the end of each day and completed the work, on time, and in budget.  Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Be aware right from the start, that the carpenter/sales person who makes the sales pitch, whose carpentry skills you might trust/believe, may not be the one who does any work or supervision of your job. Our sales guy never returned after the project began. A completely new 'carpenter' is introduced to you and begins your job.  We were left with an unknown carpenter, and two man crew ( no hablo) with unknown skills to do our remodel which included the install of expensive custom cabinets, crown & trim.

The first carpentry crew assigned to our job underperformed. (grade D) Seemed unprepared. They had no dumpster. The debris was piled high on back lawn, without any tarp underneath. I am still picking up sheetrock, tile chips, nails, etc. They used a van to transport refuse.  They often didn't have the right materials. Found them using inadequate nailing patterns on the  ceiling sheetrock (16" apart with fine thread screws) and inadequate screw patterns  on the 3/4 " subfloor, and hardiebacker.  I had to watch them/supervise them for every aspect of the job. After several more problems witnessed, including  a newly constructed door hallway opening that was not level at the top, and a soffit above the cabinets that was not level, a sloppy install of a patio door, a  grazed electric wire, I requested the work stopped and  a new crew. Monk's management understood  and provided a new crew that were much better. At my request, they made corrections to all of the mistakes of the first crew. Overall, this new crew did "B+" grade work. I had to ask that a few of their errors be fixed also, but I was still happy with their work.

The price was  good compared to other estimates, but I would not recommend them unless you know basic carpentry and you  are there throughout the day to ensure that the job is done right.

Excellent management and crews. JR has a great team with a get it done right the first time attitude. They know how to do it right and they do it right, no cut corners, the job is top quality  top to bottom, fair payment schedule and prompt attention to commitment. Let them do their job, understand that weather and material delivery is always a consideration. They will do their best to make it happen, the results are uncompromising! In this case you pay for what you expect to get, and I found it to be worth every penny.
