Everything went very well. Anthony came to my house shortly after I called for pricing information. He reviewed everything that would be done, and gave me a price immediately. We arranged a mutually satisfactory date, and the work was fully completed in one day. The next day, Anthony returned to inspect the job, and make sure that everything was completed correctly and that we were completely satisfied.

    Falletta Masonry
Positive: Excellent high-quality work. Best craftsmanship available. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Negative: Contract was signed mid-May, but it was mid-November (6 months) before they found time to do the work.

Bottom line: I would hire Falletta Masonry again -- but I would get a commitment to a firm start date on the contract before paying a deposit.

We contacted Anthony a week ago and made an appointment for him to give us  a bid on the job.  He arrived promptly as scheduled and we signed a contract for him to do the work.  The work commenced a few days later and was completed in two days.  He and his team were very responsive and eager to please.  His crew arrived on time, completed the job and cleaned up afterwards.  We will definitely consider him for future projects.

I received an advertisement card in my mailbox 3/11/13.  I called requesting an estimate on 3/28/13 and agreed to have visitation to my house on 4/1/13.  Anthony, the owner-operator of Falletta Masonry, came to my home on 4/1/13 and we discussed what I'd like done.  I felt that we had mutual respect and was supplied a written estimate.  My husband and I agreed to the particulars the following day and were pleasantly surprised to have the work begin 4/3 (by workers of the first names of Nick and Francis along with Anthony's initial, interval and finishing supervision) and completion on 4/4/13.  It was a job that we looked forward to have done for 3 years!  However, between Hurricane Irene when a big oak tree fell across our front lawn and driveway catching our Ford truck in the crosshairs as well as not finding a willing and able contactor for our relatively small job, it remained undone.  Therefore, I can't say enough about the professionalism, the thoroughness and the reasonable pricing of Falletta Masonry.  All promises were kept and found it very easy to contact the contractor first-hand which is very rare these days!  Per my experience, you will not go wrong using this masonry business for whatever your needs, large or small.

Douglas arrived on time for our appointment.  While he was here the van he was driving decided to quit running.  We thought it was the battery so we gave him a jump to get the van running.  We no sooner got done with this when the van quit running again.  He then called his boss to let him know about the problem and they decided to get the van towed.  The towing company sent the wrong size tow truck so he had to wait for them to send the right size tow truck.  Meanwhile the day was extremely hot,  somewhere in the 90 degree mark.  He did manage to give us a quote on the job.
The workers arrived right on time to do the job.  They worked steadily only pausing to seek shelter for a brief thumber storm.  They cleaned up after themselves.  The job was excellent and made the retaining walls look brand new.  You would never know that the railing had been removed and reinstalled.

We had it contracted for a certain size and it wasn't cheap.  We had to have half of it up front. We had this area marked out and their was going to be some details to the step up to the patio and up from the sidewalk and a step down from the patio doors.  I came home from work one day and the elevation was more than a foot below where it was supposed to be.  I specifically will not hire people that employ illegal aliens, because I want the job to be done right and I am willing to pay a little more to have it done right.  I also worry about what would happen if someone got hurt doing a job for me on my personal property.  I conveyed these issues to the owner of the company and he assured me that he did not have anyone working for him like that and it turns out he did.  I don't like the fact that he lied to me. So when I came home and the elevation was not right I tried to speak to the guy and he didn't speak much English.  I told him he could not leave it like this and he said it looked good. My whole yard is sloping and its going to flood in this area because you are dropping the elevation. The main contractor guy came out and said no it looks good. I stated this is what we contracted is for you to make is so we stepped up on the patio and paid the extra to have you break up the old sidewalk and carry it away.  That is when everything went down hill.  They stopped showing up and when they did it was terrible hours. They ruined my neighbors HVAC because they were using cement saws without the water and the dust was terrible. It was a nightmare and to this day I have big globs of concrete on my blacktop driveway where they dropped concrete.  We are still dealing with this and having to fix everything he has broken.  One of his employees dropped his wheel barrel full of stone on my brand new A/C unit, I showed him and he said well I don't do heating and cooling.  We have hundreds of pictures and we are still working with the attorney general and they can't do anything because they cancelled their license and got a new one.  They took all the stone that we paid for.  They told us that we didn't need them, but I told him he had no right to take them because we paid for them.  Everything about this is just a nightmare. He even ordered the wrong stone originally, we ordered the expensive stone and they bought stone that was half the price. It was to the point that we had to stay home and watch them.  We had things disappearing from our house like tools and they even took several sheets of ply-wood. He even threatened us by saying that you never want to be driving down the road and have to worry about your brakes failing of something.  We didn't pay the final $5000 to them because they never completed the work and stole from us.  It was not a cheap job.
