Appliance Repair reviews in Princeton

My Appliance Master technician is excellent! My dishwasher works better than when it was new 8 years ago, and he efficiently replaced my Sub Zero freezer gasket, a surprisingly painstaking job. In addition, he previously diagnosed my old washing machine's warped drum and rightly recommended replacement as the most cost effective choice. Now all of my appliances are in tip top shape. I recommend Appliance Master highly and without reservation.

While the repair was quite costly, the tech promptly diagnosed the issue and it's now working well. I was surprised that they could come so quickly (I want to say it was within a day or so) and they had all the parts they needed on the truck. I had expected it was going to be one of those send away for the parts type situations since the unit was old but they had what they needed, fixed it and went on their merry way.

Greg arrived promptly on schedule (although he is based an hour away) and happened to have the required part in his truck, although he pointed out that most parts are no longer made for this obsolete stove. He couldn't get the burner off because it had been fused shut over the years but he managed to just barely lift the whole top off just far enough to slip the new part in. When we also showed him the burner that didn't work his first guess was that the problem concerned an inaccessible location, but then he looked carefully and found that the installers had accidentally dropped a little nut into the gas line! When he removed this, the burner worked, for the first time since we bought the stove 25 years ago. Greg is smart and resourceful, and our stove is now working better than it has since we purchased it. Maybe $300 is a fair amount to pay for a service call, but that's the going rate these days and I was unable to find someone who was likely to address these problems for less. I am totally pleased with Appliance Master.

First Stop is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They came out on June 12 to fix the oven and told me they would order the part and would get back to me the next week. Over the next 3 months I called about 6 times and spoke to the owner who said each time he would call me back. He never called. 6 days ago he said he had the part in and would be here on Tuesday September 12 by 1:00 p.m. He did not show up. I called and he said they double booked and would have to reschedule. I told him it was unacceptable in that I had taken the day off and was losing a lot of money because of it. He said he could not do anything because he had other appointments. He could not care less that I had taken the day off and that he promised to come out today after 3 months. If I were you I would not go near First Stop Appliances.

Fine. Repair man was running late. When he got there, he worked quickly. Determined that my washer was beyond repair and gave me his honest suggestions for replacement brands. He thoroughly cleaned out my dryer vents, and was very friendly and professional. I would definitely hire this company again. They were easy to work with on the phone, too. No problem booking, etc.

The gentleman came out and looked at the dishwasher for two minutes. He said the panel on the dishwasher need to be replaced. He said if that didn't work, I would need a new computer for the dishwasher. I didn't feel like he would be able to diagnose the problem in that small amount of time. He came back on a different day to install the new panel. He was very rude and not a very pleasant man. After a couple weeks, the dishwasher wouldn't work. It was the same issue from before. I called a different company to just get another opinion. They came out and said that the panel was damaged and it was put in wrong. The new company came in and replace the panel. Jersey Appliance gave me a damaged panel and didn't install it correctly. I called Jersey Appliance and told them they gave me a damaged panel and installed it incorrectly. They told me to send them a copy of my new bill, which I sent them. I never heard from them. I ended up calling them back and they argued with me. They said they weren't going to do anything to fix it. I wanted my money back for the part & labor.

Greg came out to fix our Miele dishwasher, which I assumed we'd have to replace because it stopped draining and is about ten years old. He patiently explained the issues and possible solutions as he worked, appraised me of the likely cost of a new pump (which, being Miele, was exorbitant) and then took the time to find a tiny piece of broken glass stuck beneath the pump. He removed several layers of intimidating-looking paraphernalia beneath the filter and very carefully combed through every single thing to look for a culprit. A lesser technician would have given up after 20 minutes and charged me $600 for a new pump. After he solved the drainage problem and instructed me on cleaning the unit with vinegar, I found the dishwasher no longer cleaned effectively. So he came back again a few days later for free, even though I now had a different problem than what I originally called about, and he spent another 45 minutes painstakingly cleaning out hard-to-reach holes and tubing that clogged when the pump stopped working earlier. Greg was remarkably focused and precise, broadly knowledgeable, and when I asked him if he could recommend a replacement model should this one eventually fail, he was a wealth of information. I couldn't recommend him higher.

THIS CONTRACTOR WAS PHENOMENAL.  He responded back to my call within 1 hour.   He was willing to work around my schedule as I work in NYC and provided me the estimate at night.  He started at 7am and came with all necessary equipment He was extremely professional from the very beginning.  Even going from his truck back into the house, he would alert me every time.  The contractor ensured that the areas were clean and free from debris once he was completed.  I have booked him to remodel my master bath which he will start in 2 weeks.  Keep you posted!

It is impossible for me to calculate approximate cost of all the things that Fran had done in my home. I do know that his charges are reasonable and fair. I no longer get estimates from other service providers as I trust him implicitly. I did at first, but found him to be the least expensive. No matter how large or small the job is, he is available to help me
He has always responded to every possible need that I have had promptly and most efficiently. He comes immediately when there is an emergency: water heater and generator. I feel most secure knowing  Warm-n-Cozy Cold-n-Comfy  will solve all the problems in my home.

Adam was prompt coming out on a Sunday in the time period that he said that he would.  After taking the unit apart, he determined that heneeded another part and said he would be back by Wednesday after ordering it. He scheduled with my tenant to come out even earlier on Tuesday, made the repair and cleaned out the inside of the dryer. The tenant was happy and so was I. Great service and the price was not bad.
