    John's Painting Contractor LLC
John and his crew were outstanding! His base price was fair and honest and each upgrade we selected was assessed fairly. John and his team were friendly, thorough, and punctual. His team was meticulous in doing each step 100% right before moving on to the next. There was no rushing through the motions. They were happy to touch up or fix little things we noticed and immediately addressed any concerns we had. John even took the time to entertain our young daughter while she was having a pretend tea party! Kind, honest, and personable. Highly recommend John and his team!

    Franks Painting
It was easy to work with Frank and his team. We wanted the work started asap and he was very quick with an estimate and then started the next day. He asked for a 1/3 of the money upfront and the rest after it was completed. The painters that showed up very very professional and courteous. I would absolutely work with this company again...

    Wilber's Painting
The painting of our deck had been botched by a different contractor. The paint on the horizontal surface needed to be stripped, primed, and repainted. Wilber's initially forgot the primer, but without hesitation, stripped the coat they had put down and started over. The entire job of one coat of primer and two coats of paint was completed quickly and, to my eye, done well. I had a large grill, which they worked around by alternating sections that they painted. They patched a few places where the wood had rotted without additional cost. The final invoice they presented was wrong, but their workers took my word for it and said they would call if their was a problem.

    Independent Painters Inc
Our house is large so we had a crew of about 6 men working here for 2 entire weeks.   These guys did a fantastic job.  They were very hard-working, courteous, and they always cleaned up after themselves.  The company owner, George, is very knowledgeable about painting and very professional. He came by every morning to check on the progress of the job.  We we willing to pay to have the job done right, knowing it would not be cheap - but that we'd save money in the long run because it would spare us needing to have the house painted all over again in several years.  We opted for top-of-the-line exterior paint for a more durable finish. On some sections of the house, the existing paint was loose, and we knew that scraping and sanding those areas was essential for a good paint job, so that added to the price.  We also agreed to have them do the numerous wood repairs I mentioned above, and that added several thousand dollars to the price. We knew if we  hired a separate contractor to do all the repairs, it would have cost us more. One of the crew, Isiah, is also a great carpenter so he went ahead of the painters with his tools and did repairs on the porch decks, trim, and more.  Another thing was that several shutters were missing, and we didn't want to spend to replace the missing shutters as they'd need to be custom-made.  So we asked the guys to move some shutters around so each window would have a complete pair, i.e. a shutter on both sides -  we were OK with leaving a few windows on the back without any shutters where it was less visible.  Better than spending a few thousand on several custom shutters.  But even moving the shutters around took a lot of measuring and planning  - we had so many windows, and hence shutters, of different sizes.  This house was built in 1875 so nothing was "standard."  It was a massive amount of work which is why it came to $20,425.  It was well worth it.  Many people have commented on the beautiful paint job. We are extremely pleased with the result.

    Wilber's Painting

My house is almost 100 years old, and the original paint layer was starting to fail. The second story is shingled, and most of the paint needed to be sanded off down to the wood. Jesus and his crew did a meticulous job sanding and prepping the house for painting; they sanded about 40% of it right down to bare wood. They then power washed and got down to painting. Throughout the process they kept me updated on what would be happening the next day and answered all my questions.

The windows on the house are original, so it was unavoidable that the sashes would stick the day after painting. They carefully opened them up for me, and repeated the process for several windows when they stuck again the next day. My neighbors were all extremely impressed at how hard and well the crew worked.

FYI, the price I paid reflects the fact that a number of shingles needed to be replaced. As a side note, on the last day of painting they noticed that there were still a few shingles very high up that needed replacing--I hadn't even seen them. They replaced those shingles and painted them immediately. I even got aesthetic advice.  I had chosen a color for the front door that I thought was black but really looked like a dark blue. Jesus stopped painting immediately and consulted me, and they substituted a plain black.

The house looks stunning and I've received lots of compliments. I really couldn't be happier, and I would recommend Wilber's to anyone who wants a great paint job at a fair price.
