    Arctic Air Conditioning
The work in both instances was performed expertly and professionally. I hire Arctic Air to re-run my pipes from my boiler to the vents on the ground level of my home. The old pipes ran underground and were buried in concrete prior to connecting to the heating vents in the lower level of my home. They began to leak and I lost pressure in that zome. Arctic Air ran a new line of copper tubing above ground and threaded the new pipes thru the existing vents in my family room. They worked all day installing the new pipes. They worked quietly and professionally and cleaned up after performing a final pressure test of the system. So far, their installation appears to be flawless! So, I hired them again to replace my 40-year-old HVAC. Again, they executed the installation like the pros they really are. They were courteous and refused to work in my home without slipcovers over their shoes. How many contractors are in the habit of doing that? Well, this group took the time to do it each time they entered our home. No matter how many times they had to leave our home to get supplies off of their truck, they removed the shoe covers and re-installed them each time. That might seem like a small thing to some. But think about it, if they go through that much trouble for such a small thing, doesn't that give an indication that they are pretty precise about the other work too? Well, both the HVAC and plumbing is working fine so far. I would hire them again.

The work went fine. It only took less than 45 minutes to do, but they charged me over $4oo to do the job. I called and complained and they reduced it by about $130, but I still feel I was charged way too much for something that was a minor job.

    Arctic Air Conditioning
Arctic Air pinpointed the problem in just a few minutes of inspecting the system. I was impressed with how fast the inspector diagnosed the problem without me telling him. And, he was extremely confident of his diagnosis. But what pleased me the most is the way that the actual installers worked in my home. They sent just two installers (Mike G. and Dillon) that worked all day without taking a break. They were very polite, professional, neat and focused on their work. They helped me move my furniture and put it back after the work was done. It was a whole room full of furniture! There was no requirement for them to do that but they offered without me even asking. Even though they had to rerun the lines of my entire heating system in that zone, they were so neat that once done, you could not tell that they were ever there. In the end, they took the time to check and re-check the system to make sure that everything worked as it should. I am happy to say that they thoroughly fixed a problem that had plagued my home for years!! In my profession, I work with many contractors that I assign to make repairs on residential properties. I could have easily asked any of those contractors to complete the work and I am sure that they would have worked hard in getting the work done. But these guys were extraordinary! I will make sure to keep them in mind for future Contruction Projects that come across my desk.

    Gold Medal Service
Work DID NOT GO WELL. The door and tiles in lower part of Shower stall were initially removed so they can put a vent pipe, but eventually removed because "it's not really needed." I agreed I was paying for the repair of the shower tiles and door with the understanding it would fix the problem but it did not. Now I'm left with repair fees. I paid Gold Medal extra to be a member but that does not matter because they will still overprice you when given the chance then give "15% discount". Several plumbers came and went, put and removed vent pipes, removed toilet and put back, pipe smoked. Each plumber had their own spin of the problem and solution. I already requested for a "specialist" for the sewer problem from the very beginning but they insisted on having a "remodeling specialist" take charge. Thus the numerous trial and error made on the bathroom. At the end they tried to charge me $500 for something that was done before for $99. I ended up calling the township and they helped a lot. I am fed up dealing with Gold Medal and it doesn't matter if I paid for membership. I will NEVER CALL them again nor use them for any other reason. I would rather pay somebody else than do business with this company. I don't mind paying but it is really disappointing and frustrating when companies like this take advantage of people.

I called their office and an office worker answered, took notes, and said someone would be in touch once they returned to the office. I received a follow-up call a couple hours later and was told they could be at my home in about a half hour, which was spot-on accurate. Two people arrived, which seemed to be one actual employee and his son serving as observer/assistant. The goal was to figure out why I was getting a sewage smell in my home coming from the washer/dryer utility closet. The plumber (Lem?) was very thorough in working with me to figure out the issue, first checking the main sewer line for clogs, and gradually narrowing it down to a drain pipe underneath that the washing machine that had been connected to my old washer, but had no way to connect to the new one, and so the trap in it had dried out completely. The two of them moved disconnected and moved the washing machine, filled the trap, and re-connected everything. It has been about a week and a half since then, and the smell has not returned, so it seems that did the trick. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work. Aside from what I just described, the plumber also gave me advice on a few other questions I had about my kitchen faucet and sink drains, and advised that I could have a rubber cap put on the drain we filled to prevent the problem from recurring (I declined on this visit in case that turned out to not be the actual issue). The price was also very reasonable for the service call and thorough investigation done. My only negative mark is that - with it being a rainy day and the plumber needing to check the main sewer line from a pipe on the lawn - the lack of shoe coverings meant they tracked water and mud along the path from my front door to the utility closet which I had to clean up later. I am definitely keeping them in mind, though, for plumbing work I am planning on having done later this year.

I called in April to request a quote on a number of plumbing related items including a leaking shower. They quickly came by and provided me with quotes for everything but the shower because he wasn't the guy to handle that. They said they would send someone else. Well the next guy showed up and he also wasn't the shower guy. He said he would talk to the office. Never heard back. We got an email asking us to submit a review for the services they had done for us. At time we mentioned that nobody ever showed up to gives us a quote on the shower. The office called and said the shower guy was in Virginia but they would contact us when he got back. Never heard back. I can only suspect that they are unwilling to stand behind the work they originally did. Very disappointing. We had used them in the past with no issues.

Went well...they showed up at the beginning of the 3 hr. window and finished within the estimated time they gave me when making the appointment. And earlier this week they made the appointment for the township inspector .

    DRAIN KING
Chuck Snr and Chuck Jnr came by an hour after we spoke on the phone and took care of the problem within 30 mins. I was very impressed by their work and by their professional manner. They made sure to explain the problem and how to avoid it going forward. I would definitely hire Chuck again for any plumbing issues.
