Keith is a pleasure to work with and always willing to listen and find the answer to any question. Work is reviewed with a fine tooth comb and everything is left sparkling clean.     I wish I had heeded the advice of the other person who gave a D. Similar to that review: Seemed like a nice guy, will not use e-mail, and is it Achieve or Achieved, and do they even know? Well, we achieved nothing. Mike came to my home and seemed very nice, but from there it went nowhere. When I asked about fencing options he said I needed to go to some place down in Howell. I took the time to do that (an hour away!), chose what I wanted, and eventually got a quote for a few thousand, but through FAX. He doesn't use e-mail, and we had to find a fax to get the quote. When we tried to fax him back the next day, his wasn't working. For real... his only method of contact besides phone or post and it isn't working. So really the only way to contact him is text. We wanted to move ahead and make a contract but he kept changing/cancelling meeting times and what he said he'd be able to do. And... this was weird... he kept telling ME to text him another time to remind him... like I was his secretary or something. This should have been the red flag to move on. Then he said he couldn't place the order for the materials (?? Like isn't that your job???) and wanted me to order it and he would just do the installation work. Well, we weren't in circumstances where we could keep going to Howell at the time so I said how about just doing the repair work for now and skip the new install? He said no problem, but it would take a while because the heat's been slowing his work. Okay, that's understandable. So a few more weeks pass and it's been like two months of this back and forth at this point and I ask him if he'll be able to do the job soon and he says, yes, end of next week... and of course, "text me next week." So the next week I text him and he just doesn't reply to my texts at all at this point... so incredibly rude. So, seemed like a nice guy but also very, very unprofessional at conducting business, obviously. He hadn't actually ripped me off or anything, but he has wasted my time and effort, and now it's months later and my project which should have been done a long time ago has gone nowhere because of him. It looks like most of the good reviews were some time ago, so I'd be wary if I were you. Just totally unprofessional from beginning to end.

    Overall I'm satisfied. The proprietor stayed in touch via text and e-mail, visited on time, and wrote a formal contract out. The work was done as described with the right materials. Minor complaints were a bit of a crooked install of one section, very slight, in a non conspicuous spot, one good fence cap was lost, and we were given very little lead time (less than 24 hours) for install. But it worked out, the job overall came out good with no significant issues, so I would recommend them.

    I am very pleased with the work Danny did. He promptly returned my call and came when promised to give an estimate. The quoted repair cost was reasonable. Thanks to Danny, the gates now close easily. The damaged posts have been replaced and the fence is now upright and secure. The lose boards were nailed back in place as well.

    Mike was very detailed when explaining the whole process of picking the right fence and putting it up. He also gave me the best price! Any questions I had were always answered in immediately and his workers were very respectful and punctual people. I would recommend Modern fence company to anyone interested in getting a fence!

    excellent. did a great repair job and even made nice to my cranky neighbor who stood their watching him. left the place nice and neat. cleaned the fence area that he fixed. price was very fair, quite a bit lower than the company that installed it. took the garbage with him. I would definitely recommend mike for your fence work.

    Modern Fence did an excellent job on replacing our old fence. Mike was professional and so is Tony and his partner on doing the actual installation. Quality materials and good price. So happy on our new fence that was installed. Highly recommended. Good job!

    Our salesman was great to work with.  He was not pushy, and was very patient with all my questions.  He was able to get the contract to us very quickly with the layout.  The installers did a fantastic job, and I love the way my new fence looks!  The installers were careful around all my plants and left the yard very neat.  The fence looks great, and I am very satisfied with the style.  I would use Carl's again for another project.
    The only reason I am giving a "B" for responsiveness is due to scheduling.  We did not hear from them about the time the installers would be arriving until very late the day before (after we called to ask).  We had the date scheduled, but the time window was not told to us until very late.  Also, it was mentioned to us that our installation was a somewhat big job and may take 2 days or 2 crews.  I wish we were told ahead of time that they were planning for 2 full days rather than sending 2 crews for 1 day.  This may have been a bit of miscommunication, but in the end, it doesn't really matter since the fence looks great.

    We took the home depot service for doing this carpet install on 2nd floor and hardwood install on 1st floor. Below are some of the steps we went through:
    1. Home depot sent measurement company to measure both the 1st and 2nd floor. 
    2. We ordered the carpet and hardwood and related materials based on the measurement.
    3. Carpet installation was done first and went smoothly.
    4. The issue started with hardwood installation.
         a. The installation was a 2 day process.
         b. Day one installation went fine.
         c. Day two installation is when the installers found that we were short for 100 SQ ft of hardwood. 
         d. Called home depot and they were surprised that we were short and told us that they will order the extra materials and since this was a measurement issue, we will NOT have to pay for the extra materials. 
         e. It took a month and a half for materials to arrive and schedule the remaining installation.
         f. Our house was mess in the mean time. We could not entertain family or friends during that time frame.
         g. We got another call from measurement company saying that they will come and measure the 1st floor again.
         h. The measurement company came the same day as the installers.
         i. There were over 2 boxes left from additional materials ordered which home depot picked in december.
    5. The nightmare started a month after the installation was complete.
    6. We got the call from Home Depot out of the blue saying that now we owe them for the materials.
    7. We never got any bill or email regarding the same.
    8. Talked with multiple people at home depot explaining about the situation and every time got the reply saying they will check. 
    9. In december spoke with assistant manager and he said they will subtract the remaining amount with returned materials and asked if I was OK with splitting. I agreed so that i could get this closed.
    10. Home depot Edison NJ called and said to pay the half amount. this was half amount with out the deduction of the returned materials. I recalled my conversation with assistant manager and they said will get back as usual.
    11. Today they called and said that I have to pay this amount or they will send to collections department. Basically played the scare tactic on me. I ended up paying the half amount with out the deduction of the returned materials. 
    It is as if people working in Home depot edison either have lousy systems with no records or don't want to listen. 
    To summarize, I have wasted easily about 10 hours of my time trying to explain to different person the situation and nobody wants to listen to hardships we had with a toddler in house and with some flooring missing in our 1st floor. All the services were done by home depot and they still managed to create such a big mess. Will NOT go to home depot again. This has really been a lousy experience. I would have been understanding if they knew what they were talking about. The first time they called to collect this balance, they said it was the 10% which if they had looked at the bill would have found to be untrue. Now for the remaining balance when they called, they said they subtracted the returned materials which again was not true. I felt like they were trying to cheat us but gave them the benefit of doubt.
    To close this item out I did pay the due amount.

    The estimator was supposed to come over on Sunday 4/6/2014 at 1 pm. He never showed up and I didn't receive any follow up call from the company-this is totally an unprofessional way of doing business.
