Door Installation reviews in North Brunswick

  • Excellent experience from start to finish. Doug presented and explained a great many options and helped narrow them down to the one that worked best for me. Mindy kept the paperwork moving efficiently and was quick to provide the information required by my condominium association so the work could be approved and completed quickly. Scheduling was easy. The installers could not have done a better job on the door and cleaned up afterward. Pricing was very competitive. Everyone was helpful, accessable and happy to answer any questions I had. I would definately use them again.

  • My basement project was stuck when my previous contractor decided to abandon it after completing framing and a little bit of electrical work.  After reading reviews on this website, I came to hire Statewide Home Improvement and Maintenance LLC.  Mr. Juan Marin, the owner of Statewide Home Improvement came in right on the budget that I had set aside for my project.  I told him the project had been abandoned since July so I needed someone to take charge and finish it ASAP.  Juan put a crew of 5 people to work thru the entire Labor Day weekend and by 9/6/14 they were finished.
Juan Marin is an excellent contractor, he is a thorough professional with a strong work ethic and a courteous, helpful demeanor, coupled with a can do attitude that delivers your project on time.  The same goes for his work crew, they are very responsible, hard working, courteous, punctual and a very professional group.
After all the work was done, they cleaned everything up nicely.  Overall, I am very pleased with their work and dedication.

  • he showed up in accordance with what we discussed.  there was a time range. he came late in that range but called me a couple of times with progress, and also gave me a choice of coming the following morning. he was leaving on vacation but agreed he would fix it before he left.  he was pleasant, professional, and fairly priced.  a little pricey but once again, as expected.  truly, no surprised.  i was pleased with the service and would use jack again. i would also recommend him to others.  his truck is a shop on wheels which means he can do most jobs on single trip since he has everything with him.

  • I scheduled an appt to get an estimate on replacement windows and a patio door. Paul arrived on time. We discussed what I was looking for and he showed me the Okna 800 series window which I liked very much. He was straight forward. Not pushy at all. No long drawn out sales pitch. (I had another company come give me an estimate and the guy was here for 3 hrs) When the windows came in, Paul was very accommodating. I scheduled an appt. for a Saturday. His crew arrived on time, they were very professional and polite. They cleaned up when they were done and explained how the windows worked. Two men took about 5 hours. It was great. My only complaint is that on one window they nicked the wood frame in several places and never fixed it. I would definitely use AGM windows again.

  • Sergio and Wallace were sweethearts about waiting for the township and architect to finally OK the plans for the addition. But when the township finally gave the OK, they jumped right to work. The foundation was finished in only a few days with the framing following a few days after. Even though the addition was just off our dining room, the breakthrough in the wall was only performed after the insulation and windows were installed. The windows were a good match to the 100 year old windows that are in the original house and the cedar shake-like siding was a beautiful match to the original asbestos siding. Everywhere we turned Sergio did not spare the expense of quality materials and little extras that pleased us to no end, like the quality of the roofing material (rubber roof) or having his own father-in-law do the artistic tile arrangement in the bathroom oversized shower. I said this before in a previous rating, but I never wanted Wallace to leave. He was so attentive and patient with every detail we came up with-and we came up with a lot of goofy stuff, like putting in a pocket door. He explained every step and made us feel comfortable with all that he did.
If you are thinking about an addition, consider these guys. They are clean, polite and prompt. Additionally, their estimate for costs were right on. On work done on a previous residence the estimated costs for completion were an amount that could change at any moment. Since we had worked with Sergio and Wallace before, we trusted them no matter what. They were done on schedule and ON BUDGET!

  • The overall experience was very satisfying.  The quality of Nate's workmanship is exceptional.  I am a retired construction worker and can appreciate when a craftsman takes his time and does the right job.

  • Ray Koye has been doing my home remodelling projects for 15 years. This time, I asked him for an estimate on replacing our 49-year-old bow window, which was so saggy that anyone looking to buy our house would wonder what else was wrong with it. He pointed out that replacing our window would make our 30-year-old aluminum siding look bad, and that doing the two jobs together instead of postponing the siding would save us $1500. I was still skeptical until he quoted me the total price, which was four thousand dollars lower than I expected. We agreed to let him use our garage as a work area during the project, which saved him a lot of time. I quickly learned that a siding job uses a LOT of ladders, scaffolds, and related equipment, which he would store on saw-horses in the back yard, so we could mow around it. Instead of parking a dumpster in our driveway during the rip-off, he carefully sorted and stacked the trash until the carting guy could come pick it up.

Ray prefers to keep his teams small so that he can be sure he is delivering the best craftsmanship. For this job he hired two of his adult children to help, but he drove every nail himself. So the project took 5 weeks, but the result is truly wonderful. 3 months later, people walking dogs are still stopping to tell me how good it looks. Ray meticulously wiped his shoes before entering the house, and carefully cleaned the dust out of my garage when he was done.

In the past, Ray has replaced my gutters, windows, porch roof, front door, back door, two bathrooms, and the shower stall in my third bathroom. He's also power-washed my house. His craftsmanship is outstanding, particular the fine points of and quot;finishingand quot; (caulk, grout, trim, and so on.) He usually finds some extra little thing to do that I didn't ask for. He has a terrific network of craftsmen with other specialties (plumbing, electrical, paving, etc.) that he draws on as needed.

You may find cheaper home remodellers, but you won't find better.

  • Work was done, we were very satisfied. Problems arose during the job and were fixed without much issue or additional costs. Friendly company that will work with you on any project. Everything started with the room first, was fixed within a week. Once that was done, the bathroom was demo'ed and started from scratch. This took a few weeks to complete. We discovered that the existing shower wall was not strong enough, so the contractor took down the entire thing and built a new wall. Additional fixes were made (new plumbing, electric) and the project was completed. We will use this company again to renovate our other bathroom and basement.

  • I initially got a quote from Home Depot for $485.00. El Mezyen was a local alternative recommended to me by a neighbor. They came on time, performed the job to expectations and cleaned after job was complete. They did a great job and the price was way below market price. I am also going to have him install a fence and other home improvement projects.

  • Delivery took longer than I expected but job went very well otherwise and I like the heft of the door, think it will hold up well.
