    JOHN DEGRACE PLUMBING & HEATING
Be Aware. Very Dishonest Plumber. Dishonest, Consumer Fraud & Overpriced. Anyone else but him, will be a guaranteed improvement. Sends young kids in training to your home and tells you thinks are broken and need replacement when it's really only something minor. For example, if your $10 wax ring gasket sealer needs replacement, he will charge you $800 for a wax ring and pvc piping and tell your lead bend is cracked when it's not. It's only about money and bad dishonest service.

    Launch 3 HVAC
I wanted to be Al's 1st stop at 8:30 AM and he showed up 15 mins early which was great. He throughly inspected my outdoor central air unit. The only issue he found was I had to replace my filters. He advised me it was something I can do on my own and purchase them at Home Depot or he could come back, but there will be a service charge of $120. He very professional and gave me a $50 discount card for a future service call.

    Pacific HVAC Air Conditioner
Work was done quickly and professionally. When a warranty issue arose, they dealt with the manufacturer's distributor and took care of the problem. I highly recommend this company as reliable, competitive and honest.

All Day Heating & Cooling LLC
Long and his coworker came over to look at my furnace which had stopped blowing warm air. They were both very friendly and professional and after about 30 minutes of work I had heat again. I would definitely recommend All Day Heating & Cooling LLC

The work was done well and the humidifier is operating well. The contractor was very good at communicating clearly and promptly. I was so pleased with his work installing the humidifier that I hired him for another project.

Hudson Plumbing Air Conditioning & Drain Cleaning
I initially purchased a $49 coupon via the deals segment of the website for a complete 25 point inspection of my Hvac system, both ac and furnace. I have two Hvac systems, as my house is a two-family, but the deal only covered one system. The technicians arrived promptly on 9/21/16. I made a point to inform the technicians that the reason I needed them to perform the inspections was because the warranties that I have on my HVAC systems would become nullified if I did not have the units inspected on an annual basis. I have absolutely no issues with the punctuality of their arrival time or their customer service attitude while on the job. In fact, they were nice enough that when I asked how much it would cost me to get the other HVAC unit inspected, they threw in the second inspection for free. If I gave negative scores below, the scores were given based on overall performance across those categories, and unfortunately Angie's list does not give me additional space to expand on my reasoning for each category. The actual problem started, when, during the inspection they discovered that the outdoor condenser to my unit's ac system was dirty and full of leaves. One of the technicians suggested that I pay them have it cleaned. I agreed, but they said they could not do it immediately as they had another job scheduled close by that they had to attend to first. I then agreed to wait 2 hours for them to return from the other job. After 3 hours passed, and still no communication from the technicians, I called one of the technicians, couldn't get a hold of him, and then called the office and told them to tell the technicians to call me. When I finally made contact with one of the techs, he told me he changed his mind about cleaning the condenser, as " clean outs are best done after the winter is over and the snow has melted," and "he didn't want to take my money for nothing." Ok, fair enough, but what about the documentation/ inspection checklists verifying that the inspections had been performed that I need for my warranty guarantor? They said they would "drop them off." Since I doubted that was a realistic action, I immediately contacted the company's customer service rep, Pamela the next day. I have proof of this, because I used the email function on the Angie's list site to send the request. A day later, one of the techs texted me, promising to email scans of the documentation. A month later, I still have not received the necessary documentation in any way, shape, or form. On 10/25/16, I spoke with Pamela over the phone and she told me she would speak to the technicians again. When asked about whether the company actually keeps records regarding work performed for as long as the time that elapsed between the date of service and the 10/25 phone call, she said that all she could send me was a receipt, as "the technicians do not use inspection checklists". This makes no sense, as how can a company advertise services for a "25 point HVAC system inspection" If there is no way for the customer to identify what the 25 points being inspected are, account for what the technicians actually checked, and there is no documented sign-off regarding whether the systems are actually ok, or in need of maintenance? I chose no in regards to the question of whether I would use this provider again, because although both the customer service rep and the techs were nice and polite, the overall experience was still a headache, as it should not be that hard to scan some documentation and email it to a customer! I work 6 days a week and really don't have the spare time to be constantly haranguing service providers over simple issues.

    Service Professionals Inc
I purchased two complete HVAC systems,(both furnace and A/C) plus new ductwork from Service Professionals in late February of 2016.The contract included the following: free repair/replacement/and servicing of the equipment for a year post-installation, coverage of related permits and fees, ten year guaranteed replacement/repair of parts and labor for the single stage HVAC system,15 years parts and labor for the dual-stage HVAC system, and two manufacturer's warranties covering the useful lives of the compressors and heat exchangers. I have had several problems with the company's customer service, workmanship, and business practices over the course of the last eight months. The following occurred in chronological order: Within three days of the installation, my tenant reported that his thermostat was displaying an error code, and he could not activate the furnace. I utilized the workmanship guarantee in the contract and had the company come diagnose and fix the problem. Apparently, wires were disconnected somewhere on his system. A few weeks later, I noticed I had not received a copy of the building permits for the installation. It took two months of back-and-forth phone calls between myself, the company, and the municipal building department to get the company to pay for the permits as per contract. I had several further maintenance calls, including a flexible duct that became disconnected from the main trunk to the second floor unit, an unexplained leak around the base of the system, and eventual failure of the a/c to blow cold air. The latter two problems have yet to be resolved after repeated contact with the company, including a face-to-face visit at the Union, NJ office location. I still do not have functional A/C as of this 8/31/16. Last but not least, after repeated requests, the company failed to provide me with the documentation necessary to fulfill application requirements to receive the state energy rebates associated with the efficiency upgrades.

TriState Refrigeration Appliance & Service Repair
Excellent service.  Refrigerator was not cooling properly.  They came within an hour of when we called and updated us on their location.  Believe the repairman's name was Danny.  Very friendly, fast and he did the job and told us how to prevent a reoccurence.  A little more expensive than we would have liked for the time spent, etc., but we were very happy.  We probably could have paid a lot more for a lot less.   We'd definitely call them again.

    GRC Mechanical Services
They are very responsive and nice. Came on time and did the work. I just bought my house so I don't have much experience. I thought they were overpriced. Businesses in NYC pay less for servicing then i did for the house service call.

    On-Site Hvac & Rooter Svc.
Our furnace stopped working yesterday morning, during a snow blizzard.   A friend of mine referred me to On-Site HVAC & Rooter Service.  After a brief conversation with the owner, he said he would be at my house as soon as he could possibly make it during the storm.   About 40 minutes later (traffic was very slow and difficult, parking next to impossible), Mr. Quijano, arrived at my house and started the furnace, and in about an hour and 15 minutes we had heat in the house.    While he was at my house, he also fixed some annoying leaks in the kitchen sink and bathroom.

I appreciate his due diligence and the effort he made to come to my house under a heavy snow/ice storm.
