AMagnolia Home Remodeling GroupWe had a three “room” project completed in November 2020: Framing - Removed back wall of house and part of the roof, rebuilt ceiling, installed beam, and rear wall Kitchen/Dining Room - Full gut job….new electrical, insulation, walls, floors, backsplash, appliances, paint, fixtures, etc. Deck - New from scratch. 17x17 with a pressure treated frame and timbertech composite decking, rails, balusters, steps, etc. ...since they were going to be replacing the roof where the new section was built, they also replaced our entire roof. The cost was reasonable relative to what it would’ve been to replace just the smaller portionn of the rebuilt roof. The subcontractors were all very professional and quality was high across the board. Here are the important points: -Communication - Stellar for the entire duration of the project (negotiating, permits, selections, day-to-day, inspections, etc.). Vic was our point person but had another person help when needed (permits, payments, etc.). When I needed something, it was Vic I worked with. We worked almost exclusively by text but got on phone calls when the situation called for it. -Schedule - Before we started the project, Magnolia claimed the project would take 4 months. I believe this would’ve been projected to be 3 months if we weren’t operating in a pandemic but the materials were a concern based on the initial plans the architect drew up. The entire project ended up taking 9 weeks from demo day 1 to the final inspection. Very impressive. -Pricing - Magnolia is not cheap but you’re paying for a contractor that’s experienced and proven in certain areas (e.g. kitchens, roofs, etc.) and has established relationships with the subcontractors they use. -Subcontractors and quality - Kitchen designer was flexible with what we were looking for but we had another kitchen that we used as a near mirror-image of what we wanted. The one thing that may be a concern here is that if you don’t know what you want, there might be a lot of back-and-forth to arrive at a final design. Roofers, tile/paint crew, etc. were all top notch. Overall a great experience. This was a high anxiety experience going in and Vic was professional and kept things moving very quickly and well ahead of schedule.- Anthony D.

AAJT Complete Construction LLCThe mason who rebuilt my chimney was a master mason in my opinion as he didn't splash concrete on the brick surface as many mason's do. The chimney looks beautiful... it's a shame that I'm the only one who will probably notice it. They also installed a stainless steel chimney liner and cleaned my fireplace chimney. AGENERAL BRICK DESIGNSFrom the initial phone, Eddie was our guy! His knowledge on home repair, structural issues, water damage and more is second to none. But it is not just his craftsmanship and expertise that stands out, it's his personality. Eddie is exactly what I am about to say and more. Honest, humble, trustworthy, caring, communicative, transparent, and so on. For years I paid contractors to solve my water issues in the basement. And year after year after being fixed, the issue would come back. Eddie explained the reason why year after year I had these issues. He took the time to really make me understand, veins, footings, cement mixing, cracks, water damage, building foundation, wood and moisture. His crew follows his lead! AI couldn’t have asked for better or more responsive service. I am under contract for a home and the inspector recommended we contact a mason to understand the extent of the issues he found and provide guidance on how he would fix the issues identified. Joe answered immediately and just a couple days later met me at the property I intend to purchase. He gave me straightforward answers and has helped me feel comfortable moving forward now that I have a plan of action. I still need to close on the home, but once my family and I are in there, Joe is going to be the person I choose to help me fix the basement. AI received four estimates for my waterproofing project. Ultimately, I chose American A-1 Waterproofing due to the personalized and positive experience I had with Lou Manzo (Manager), Maurice (Foreman) and Crew Members. From the start, Lou was generally concerned with meeting my waterproofing needs. He actively listened to my concerns and provided satisfying solutions to achieve a dry basement without leading me down an unnecessary and confusing purchasing path. Lou explained the work to be done in great details. He was responsive to my calls, emails and texts and patiently answered ALL of my questions. Maurice and his crew members did an amazing job. They worked diligently during a heat wave and always demonstrated positive energy. They depicted such pride in their work -- making sure everything worked effectively and efficiently. I have to say, Lou really went above and beyond the call of duty. He ensured Maurice and Crew Members replaced a clogged downspout drainpipe and installed a cleanout valve. He ensured Maurice and Crew Members connected an exterior drainpipe from the catch basin to eliminate standing water in my front yard. This concept was Brilliant! And completed at the at a fraction of the cost! In addition, Lou consumed the cost to unclog a sewer line that compromised my newly installed Waterproofing System. But wait there is more! I have been unable to attend to other pertinent matters on/around my property, as I am recovering from surgery. Lou sympathized with my plight and ensured his crew demolished a crumbling flower bed wall and deteriorated shed in my backyard at a faction of the cost. Moreover, Lou returned with a crew member the day after the job was completed to reconnect my utility sink, washer and dryer and move them back into place free of charge. I am very pleased with the exceptional service provided by Lou, Maurice, and all Crew Members at American A-1 Waterproofing. From start to finish, they were professional, courteous, and GENUINE. The team exceeded my expectations! Moreover, pricing for my waterproofing project was extremely fair.

AEverything went smooth. I've used them in the past and was very happy with the work. When a leak formed in my chimney, I first had the flashing sealed. When that didn't work I figured it might be the masonry. I called Antonio and he can about about a day or two later to take a look. Noticed crumbling mortar and some cracked bricks. He recommended repointing the chimney. They also resealed the flashing with a rubber like compound and sprayed a sealer on the entire chimney. So far so good. I would hire again, they have great customer service.
